iPhone 15 Pro Max Vs Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra Vs Huawei P60 Pro Camera Comparison, A side-by-side camera comparison. iPhone 15 Pro case feature at the start MagEZ Case 4 For iPhone 15 Pro Max: bit.ly/3PAAYYi
@@corona__viruswe know u hate huawei… seen u on many videos, but no huawei is far better then apple, iv had the p30 pro from huawei and i have iphone 13 pro max now and the huawei was faar better
No one mentioned the Front Facing Ultrawide Field of view in Huawei P60 Pro, that's so smooth and stable than rest of the devices. Watch it again you'll be amazing and it is the best vlogging selfie camera ❤
True, for the small niche vlog community, but overall for video, the iPhone remains the best choice. But good to see that S23U and Huaewi are no longer far behind.
Huawei P60 Pro best image quality and the dynamic range on the Huawei is unmatched. 8:45 im sorry but the portrait shot here, Huawei P60 Pro did the best. the dynamic range and brightness of the sun spot on. While the iphone looks dim and soft.
Awesome camera test is back, any I have to pick Huawei P60 Pro both pictures+videos and microphone, I just realized something, Huawei P60 Pro using 8th+Gen1, that's so amazing for last gen chip
I wonder if the stabilization on the s23 could be updated in a future firmware release. They already did one big update that fixed a lot of the camera issues.
Huawei still doing well for night shots and zoom. My P40 Pro still takes amazing photos no matter what the lighting is and everyone always asks for my pictures even those with new iPhones and Samsungs. Huawei does need to work on video and the inconsistencies with the daytime shots on the new P60 Pro. Otherwise still world class. If it were not for the ban making them lose access to some important hardware and software, they would've remained unbeatable. Would love to see this test with the new Mate 60 Pro. Oh Huawei, I hope you come back. You were a beacon of hope in a sea of stagnating innovation. Apple has never innovated and Samsung has become complacent since Huawei was banned. Huawei was seriously pushing them and I wouldn't be surprised if apple and Samsung were part of helping the ban happen. Huawei had overtaken Apple in 2019 and was about to overtake Samsung. And then boom. The ban. So so sad. It really is unfair for the consumer at the end of the day. It diminishes our freedom of choice and stifles innovation. The US sucks.
@@Techtablets that would be great. My P40 Pro has a cine camera. It uses the wide angle for video recording. It isn't as wide as most wide angles but it is more than wide enough. That means the quality of it is excellent. I wonder why they did away with it.
@@nelsonta00 innovation is making this innovative technologies work hand in hand with each other to produce a great product, Apple alone sources its display to South Koreas Samsung, its chips to Taiwan TSMC, etc. No smartphone company produces its own parts, it outsources it somewhere using the technology of those companies where they outsourced their needs for parts.
In regards to the oversharpening of the Galaxy S23 Ultra: The picture softening can be adjusted in the camera assistent app (off, medium, high). Did you try that?
I think it should be tested as it comes out of the box because most people won't be changing those settings. And then if they want to sharpen it, that's their choice. Instead Samsung went crazy to try and impress
He uses default settings as all these phones have hundreds of different options and you would need a 10-hour video to cover every small change. So these are for those that just point and shoot.
@@rem792 yes, however it's the other way around. By default the sharpening is at max (picture softening is set to "off" by default), the best way to reduce the oversharpening is to set "picture softening" to medium.
@@rem792 I see it a bit different, bc if you buy a camera centric smartphone I would assume you are willing to spend some time in adjusting the camera settings to get most out of it. In all automatic at least at this point you won't get the most out of the best phones
@@flo_h_96 Yes, I understand but most people haven't even touched the settings menu ever, all the people I know, at least. I haven't touched it either and I have a DSLR and a mirrorless but don't bother looking for a sharpening option, I expect the phone to work out of the box and it shouldn't need any adjustment considering the average person that buys the phone. You should only need to use it if the picture needs it, I think there's no excuse for Samsung that is charging so much for these slabs of plastic, it goes for all the manufacturers, really. Look at how much they charge for these things. So yes, it should work out of the box 😁
For me, the main question is always "what's the best picture I can get out of the camera?", so default settings isn't that important to me. But of course it gets a lot harder to compare objectively.
@@Techtablets I guess it would be cool to have both - a longer, more objective default setting comparison, and then a short section about trying to tweak the settings to get the best photo out of each and how many useful options there are.
Superb showdown as always Chris Sir! 👌All phones traded blows in still shots, but video on the IPhone is still ahead. So much work is put into the comparisons! Nicely done! 👏👍
Good, detailed comparison. However, you need to do the comparison with the mate 60 pro which was released around the same time as the iphone 15 pro. The P60 pro was the earlier version.
In my opinion, the photo in which you used the S23 10x camera , It's normal to get that noise . Because you do the zoom for the whole view including the atmospheric conditions :fog , haze ....etc.
That is why Samsung is killing the 10X zoom. They have reached their limitations, and too much noise, poor video stabilisation, and subpar night zoom make it look limited compared to other periscopes. The S24U coming in a few months is rumoured to use a 5X zoom like the iPhone, but with 50mp, so it will be much better than the 10X zoom overall. The 10X was a great marketing trick with its silly moonshot, but it just does not cut it any more quality-wise, and just spec-chasing higher zoom for bragging rights will disappoint in the long game.
Samsung have the option to turn the sharpening off from camera assistant. Honestly if you don't do that it look pretty terrible, you can't shoot grass, trees, metal objects, ect...
Most people have yet to learn about Camera Assistant. Isn't that an app in the Galaxy Store? Samsung should do it well on auto as people expect them to. Loads of apps can make standard auto photos look better, but this is a point-and-shoot comparison and no excuses.
@@andyH_EnglandPoint and shoot is not one of the strongest sides... Overexposure need to be turned down as well to make the greens look normal instead of light "poison" green even at night.
Yes that's an option but for my camera comparisons I use default settings on all phones. If I start tweaking and improving one that's not fair in the others so all stock settings as if out if the box (expect watermarks on)
@@TechtabletsI think it would be fair. It is not fair that Apple does not let you tweak too much their devices. If you want to get the best the phone can deliver, then use all the options that the provider gives you. The camera comparison is about how much you can do with a phone camera, not what the provider lets you do by default. But kudos for the video!
Great comparison video. I For me the iPhone mic was by far the worsed both in wind noise and voise quality, you sounded like a different person in comparison to what you normally use. The P60 mic was also affected badly by wind noise. S23 easily the better mic. That would be my only slight difference to your comparison. Since most is personal preference anyway. P60 night stuff, iPhone video (just) and portrait shots, S23 everything else telephoto, colours, etc.
They are all good and working differently. iPhone adds temperature to all it's videos making them look yellowish. S23 Ultra adds more vibrancy, & Huawei P60 pro brightens more. I would go with S23 ultra since it has more customization. But they are all clear
awesome camera comparison video thank u! I'm still leaning towards the iphone as the best phone camera out there if you ever get the chance, iphone 15 pro max vs oppo find x6 pro vs vivo x90 pro+ 😁
Would love to see that as well, but as an owner of a Vivo X90 Pro+ I can tell you if you want your photos to look as close to photos from an DSLR and not artificial and overprocessed the Vivo X90 Pro+ is the way to go and the iPhone is absolutely no match. But although the camera of the Vivo X90 Pro+ is far superior to the iPhones it is not as good if you want to do simple point and shoot. On the Vivo and I assume it's similiar with the Oppo you have to use the right settings to get the most out of it and sometimes try different settings. But I really would want to know how the Oppo Find X6 performs in comparison to the other two especially with it's relatively big sensors behind the ultra-wide and the tele lens
Great video, In the video its almost crystal clear for me that the wide-angle camera on the Huawei is taking a best overall photo, see the details at the trees and mountains in the background and the details in metal fence in the floor, you can literally count them.. no discussions there, the other 2 phones makes decently but its clear which one is the winner there.
The recent changes in iPhone photos don't sit well with me. It feels like they're relying too heavily on software tweaks, neglecting hardware improvements. Consequently, they end up over-editing and removing the natural imperfections that give photos their uniqueness and memorability. Apple's approach often leaves photos feeling lifeless. In my view, a great camera should aim to capture moments rather than just "fix" them.
S24 ultra should come with 5x optical zoom as well, also it would be enough to zoom up to 50x instead of 100x with better stabilization. None need 100x because it's not really useful.
It's really important tho. Imagine there is a criminal happening over there. You can just zoom your phone. Clear or not, it's still used as evidence in court.
Very interesting video, thanks. My wife get a Galaxy S23 and I don't like how sharpness it adds to some photos. Colors are over saturated too. Except for technical capabilities (zoom, texture...) I prefer my Oneplus 6 lol. Next upgrade is IPhone 15 Pro max.
Samsung needs to reduce excessive oversharpening. I know it can be adjusted from the camera assistant app, but it's not in the camera app itself which most people will use.
Minor recommendation if it's still possible would be to rename the title to say "Max" so people find your video when they are looking specifically for reviews of the Max phone and not just the Pro version.
I agree. When I read the title, I thought that it was just the 15 Pro without new 5x zoom, which I came for. But after watching the video, now, I know it's the Pro Max.
Yes but since the other two were portrait mode I used all in the same mode. I'm well away of the aperture mode and used it in my review (In the channel)
I need to say that I have had those 3 phones in my hands and I haven made deep tests and I like the most the Huawei. I keep complaining that creators of this content do not understand that the real portrait mode of the Huawei is not the ¨Portrait¨ mode but the ¨Aperture¨ mode, they are huge different modes. In the Aperture mode you get natural and perfect portrait photos with natural colors and bokeh, while in Portrait mode adds beauty effect, unnatural colors and bokeh effect. And I´m surprised that bloggers still use portrait mode and do comparisons in this way, that´s unfair. They should take more time knowing the phones and their features in order to get the most of them. Another thing that I noticed on my experience is that the 10x photos look huge better in the Huawei compare to the Samsung, even being an hybrid one. In video mode I´m clear that Huawei is not the best. Finally I need to say that I have always been an iPhone user, and because of the amazing camera of the Huawei I decided to get this phone and I will go back to iPhone only the day that an iPhone does it much better than Huawei in photography. Being an iPhone lover, need to say that I´m keeping my Huawei for now, that being a DSRL camera owner, this phone is the closest to DSLR camera.
Apple does not buy in tech to improve as it just adds another layer of costs, hence why they have their own coating. They look at it as a long-term investment. It is a very sensible business model, but does mean they are slower to improve these issues.
QUESTION:: why wen I take a picture with the s23 ultra in the picture details it says a lower MP.... 200MP picture says 124MP, 50MP says 31MP and 12MP says 7MP .....is this false advertising or am I missing something
First section of the video - the front camera video recording - it seems you either made a mistake with the audio icon display or the audio from the Huawei P60 was never switched to.
Seems like the androids really got much better with the video stutters in the recent years. I feel like the advantage of iPhones in video recording got a lot smaller. In the night shots all of them seem to stutter though, even the iPhone? I agree with the portrait mode. I usually hate that fake bokeh with the artificial edges. The iPhones portrait mode is so good though, I would actually use it.
theniphone records in the proRES log, and it's much better quality but you have to grade the footage yourself. And even the normal video is ofcourse better than the competition.
You have to check video settings. There is a setting for the iphone to automatically lower the fps in low light when shooting video in order to let more light in for each frame. This can lead to those jitter artifacts when rendering the video in 30fps for youtube.
You are one of very few who talks about oversharpening pictures. Could you please do a thing about it, a video or anything about this so more people doin this so we could get more options out there lowering the disgusting sharpness and overdoHDR. Mybe a video testing the lowered sharpness function in Samsung how it looks like ?
It's becoming a huge issue now plaguing many photos. I'm not sure a video on it would get any interest but I'm interested to see the new Pixels approach if they decide to oversharpen like crazy.
@Techtablets Yes that's the problem. No one uses the pictures outside social media. It's nice that you mention it. And if you taking pictures with good lightning on trees witch a lots of branches and ocean people could clearly see the horrid oversharpening going on. Also in evening in a city when the sun is behind the buildings it clearly shows how much hdr they use since the pictures got halos around the buildings.
Kills photos if you later want to crop in it's ruined. We aren't only just posting directly to social media where sure it will look fine but anything else yuck!
Just a tip if u use a stand and night more on samsung with 30 sec sater and also a 2 sec count down . u can make some amazing pictures in rly dark inviroments ! btw i mostly disagree with u but it is okey this is why we are different ppl. i prefer most of the times the samsung and the huawei pictures they are sharper and more detailed. iphone for me is just a blure.
The basis of a cell phone is communication. iPhone 15 Pro Huawei 60 Pro+ is not comparable to the iPhone 15 Pro. Although the iPhone 15 chip is 3mn it is not as good as the Huawei 60 Pro+, which has satellite calling.
*I guess Apple has decided to not implement HDR on selfie 4k60fps videos ever.* Low-light vids, shutter speed and portraits are exceptional on the Iphone.
I sold my oppo find x6 pro and vivo x90 pro plus, because they didn't get views my camera comparisons with them. People don't care because they aren't global releases.
Thank you so much Chris for this amazing comparison, didn't think you'll do it that fast I'm surprised for the p60 pro performance, seems it's gotten better after updates, yet no Chinese company can compete with iphone or Samsung unfortunately
That simply not true. The Vivo X90 Pro+, Xiaomi 13 Ultra and Oppo Find X6 Pro are all crushing the iPhone and Samsung, if you know how to use them. The hardware of these three chinese smartphones in terms of the cameras is simply far superior. If you like artificial and very processed looking photos which you can identify as photos taken on a smartphone iPhone and S23 Ultra will do the job. If you want photos as close as possible to an DSLR the chinese ones I mentioned are the way to go. They are so good that often you won't be able to tell if the photos are taken by a smartphone or an DSLR
@@flo_h_96 you just look at portrait pictures by Huawei, person always looks like he has anemia, and it's a Chinese trend to produce soft facial features with pale anemic skin
Ok, the time I watch this video in India is 2.52 am but this is the best comparison so far I've seen for iPhone 15 pm and Samsung 23u...coz the reason is you compared it with the next deserved competition p60 pro ...no others done video like it ...thanks man ❤️🔥 gud job .I want let you how this video was .you deserve a subscribe ❤️
What's the difference between oversharpening and having more details? In one comparison you say you don't like the Samsung because it's oversharpening, while in another at night you like the Huawei for having more details(which look to me like it's oversharpening also)
When it comes to filming, no phone has surpassed the iPhone yet. In terms of color accuracy, the iPhone is also more authentic. Phones from China and Samsung, in general, tend to enhance vibrant colors and skin processing, making the images more visually appealing than the warm tones of the iPhone. However, iPhone images maintain better detail because they don't overly intervene in color, skin processing, and brightness adjustments.
@@Techtablets Agreed that the skin tones on the iPhone lack vibrancy and are excessively warm. In my country, people often jokingly say that the skin tones in iPhone photos make people look like they're taking pictures of the deceased:)) I used to think that in Europe or the United States, they might actually prefer the iPhone's skin tones because they appreciate sun-kissed and warmer skin tones, don't they?
IPhone with the best video camera, the P60 Pro is not good enough, not smooth enough, it stutters. IPhone has also better stabilization and you see for example on the ground more details. S23 Ultra has the least lens flair
Last year. Samsung ditching it for a more sensible 5X on S24U, according to rumours. It has too many negatives and it appears Samsung cannot eliminate them.
