I was tempted to upgrade a 14 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max but maybe not now as they’re still pretty close performance wise with some small camera improvements. The weight reduction on the 15 Pro Max and more rounded edges sound great and will feel better in hand no doubt! The fact that the just released iPhone 15/15+ have A16 Bionic now shows how good the 14PM will be for years to come. Great content as always 👌🏻
Man I ordered mine few days ago, coming from 12 pro, and I rethink to cancel my order for the 15 pro max...it's just not worth the upgrade...talking about your case, absolutely no need to upgrade.
I just got the 14 pro max from an authorised seller that was still selling them , paid €850 , the 15 pro max is €1489 . Didn’t see enough difference to go for the 15 for that price difference
The iPhone 13 was the best iPhone to date, not because it introduced a bunch of new features, but because it improved upon the iPhone 11 and 12 in significant ways. The iPhone 14 brought new cameras into the mix but fell short in terms of software support. The iPhone 15 added USB-C and a new, “hot” chassis. I am waiting for the iPhone 16 to jump from the 13. These 3 years release should be called iPhone LTS 😹, not by adding new features, but by focusing on essential bug fixes, much like the iPhone 13 did.
I agree, the iPhone 13 was probably the best iteration of the current design but I'm curious what you mean when you say the iPhone 14 falls short in software support department?
I agree iPhone 13 pro max was a legendary device up to date no issues at the battery is the King of all devices including durability for some reason i believe apple made a mistake by releasing it they don't want a phone that lasts that long in other words let's keep throwing our money! it's a once in a blue.
My iPhone 13 Pro Max is the worst iPhone I’ve ever had multiple problems on the phone Siri not listening phone screen cracks super easy can’t wait until my 15 comes in
Just going to a lighter titanium build of the 15 PM from the heft of my 13 PM has been worth the upgrade. So far I have been fortunate and not experienced over heating. Very happy with my purchase.
@@LAMethWitch It got warm when I was downloading my iCloud backup but I definitely wouldn’t say it was over heating. Other than that it’s remained cool to the touch.
i gpt the 15 plus 256 in green cause i just coudlnt afford 1tb pro max.. tell me 3 more thnigs u like about it what about the battery life @@GeorgeBlairJr
I am loving my blue 15 PM. Upgraded from a 14 PM (wife gets the 14 PM to replace her 12 PM). I stalled 17.1 B1 on it last night and the battery life is much improved. I’ve had no overheating issues with either iOS 17.0.2 or 17.1
I remember when you use to make videos on the 11 pro max back when it came out and was getting 10-12 hours of SOT. Now you’re only getting 4-5 hours of SOT with an even more expensive phone. Crazy how things got worse over time.
Apple made it less expensive to fix when it breaks but now it’s breaks more often. They knew what they were doing. I will say I see tons of people with the back glass broke and never fixed because it’s an expensive repair and now they will be more likely to get it fixed but on the flipside, it’s more likely to break for those of us who might have been a little more careful.
Okay hear me out, his side by side comparison is slightly accurate. The performance of the phones operate a lot better when the battery is fully charged up. The 15 pro max was operating at 90% and the 14 pro max was 35 to 40 percent. The battery’s capacity plays a big role in the GPU performing very high.
Arron, been watching you for years. My friend and i were testing his 15 vs my 12 pro max and noticed that the mute switch is now a button? Just happy i spotted something to share! Going from my 12Pro Max to the 15Pro Max, i want the zoom camera and macro feature. Several other updates since my 12 Pro Max which has been a very good phone. It does seem to have intermittent mic level when i speak on an app with a VU meter. Thanks for teaching us so much. You are making this 73 year old man keep learning, Thanks Again!
Not only is the mute switch now a button, it’s also programmable so you can choose whatever action you want it to perform. You can have it turn on the flashlight, open the camera, enter a focus mode, run a Siri shortcut, or pretty much whatever else you want. It’s a lot more than just a way to mute the phone now
Great video. When you break it all down there is not much of a difference. It seems like Apple does not make much improvements/upgrades to their devices. But love your video. God bless
I have a friend that went from a 13 to a 15 pro in Blue Titanium. It seem odd numbers have been good (11, 13, and 15) have been great whilst the evens ( 12 and 14) not so much.
My experience from the 14 pro max to 15 pro max has been great my new 15 pro max has been cool to the touch and hasn’t gotten warm also the battery life is better and the cameras are very clear when taking pictures so it was a nice upgrade for me I wasn’t satisfied with the 14 pro max this phone has been much better experience for me! Great video aaron!
interesting you were not satisfied with the 14 Pro Max and now you are with the 15 Pro Max because they are basically identical. I think the reason of your comment, you just don't want to feel too bad like others throwing money away on the same thing without thinking too much.
@@quadriderhondausing a 14 pro max and my experience on the phone is amazing could’ve got the 15 but the money is a bit to far off for what ur getting glad ur enjoying the phone tho. My 14 pro max doesn’t heat up at all it’s been cool on 10 hours of usage
started with the regular pro but after going back and forth I went back to the pro max after 3 years with the 6.1" pro i missed the bigger screen and battery life
@@kritter16 i got mine on thursday i was lucky enough for an apple store near me to have one available so i was able to reserve it rather than waiting a month for shipping
I do wonder about the durability of the usbc connector. I’ve never had a issue with the iPhone connector but I’ve had various devices that use usbc break over the years. The connection gets loose from countless connecting and disconnecting.
Hi, Aron When can we see a comparison of all the max devices? Like from XS max to 15 pro max? Also Would there be a difference in the battery performance which is replaced and the one which comes in the phone by default? if Yes please do a battery performance comparision with a replaced battery and the original one.
Thanks Aaron Great video very helpful to people like me upgrading from a 13 pro max was not sure on which to go with because of the heating issue but from your video they look to be the same. Will be upgrading to the 15 pro max 512gb version tomorrow .
Just an update have received my iPhone 15 pro max have been using it two days and I would have to say it’s worth the upgrade have not experienced any heating issues. I have used it wireless charging in my 4x4 and at home it would be the same amount of heat as my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Can not get over how light it feels compared to the 13 pro max. Camera is an awesome usb-c is good but forgot how many lightning cables I have 😂 and yes I did try plug in the 15 pro max to the lightning cable. Very happy in general my iPhone 15 pro max was made in china as it says in the usb-c port.
The phone seems nice, but I’m still on my 12 pro. The battery itself would be my main reason to upgrade. If I can hold off another year, I definitely will.
I think the only thing to consider in your case would be the screen refresh rate since the standard 15 is still 60hz. Other than that I think the 15 plus is a great purchase.
Battery comparison could be better so u can test both batteries on the 100% capacity of both, that would be better for the comparison 🙌🖤 hope it helps as a tip
Yea..keeping my 14 pro max. I didn’t see a huge difference in specs I think the thing I like, with the 14 Pro Max is I don’t mind the weight I honestly find it hard to believe that a lot of people are complaining about the weight. And just my personal opinion, sometimes the weight of something to me, equals Authentic. But definitely love the durability of the 14 Pro Max. I like the fact that I could use it without a case and hardly get a scratch. I made it sucks though you have to get a case. iPhone aesthetically is the best looking phone out there into not be able to use it naked Sucks
What you suggest for a new buyer? 14 pro max or 15 pro? I have 12 pro right now and I’m thinking get a max version. But is it worth it? 14 PM and 15 pro costs exactly the same! I would love your advice and pros/cons on my choise! Thanks in advance
one quick information. white titanium is a joke to look at. it looks like a toy. Apple lost its premiumness by upgrading to titanium. but samsung looks much better due to shiny titanium they have used
been using 14 pm 1TB since it came out. my last phone before this was the 11PM. DEFINITELY the best phone apple has made. unlike others, it has the dynamic island and I love it so far. 15 is also great but looking on drop tests and etc. some of it is even worse than the 14. mine had serious drops and it even got stuck between my cars trunk and had no damage at all. I don't see a reason to upgrade. I was really looking forward to upgrade it since this (14 pro max) was BEYOND what I was expecting. I really would prefer 14 pm over any other smartphone. Looking forward for 16 cuz apple really did a great job making this phone, never really used a model like this before. please be honest, do you really see those features as "features"? At least they should make it much durable since they always do between their models, i don't get it. yeah the camera and 5x zoom is really good and all but it's not worth it cuz 14 PM's camera is more than I need. I would only upgrade if there was like a MASSIVE difference between them so i really hope they make a big jump with the 16
I’ll stick with the 13 pro I have, neither are worth the upgrade for me, since the “upgrades” aren’t things I need or use (I don’t game on my phone, and the camera is nice, but with the 14 pro camera issue, my 13 pro is totally fine. I only use airdrop to transfer files atm, so the USB-c transfer speeds aren’t something I’d take advantage of)
The 15 pm looks nice, but I love my 14 pm with it's shiny sides. I have the deep purple. I just got the rebel flex case to show off the purple polished sides.
Upgraded from a 13 Pro. Been very pleased with it so far, including it doesn't feel that heavy in my hand either. Although I will miss sierra blue as the blue titanium, although nice, doesn't capture the same feeling I had with the previous.
How are you getting along with a the dynamic island? I use a 13PM, and after seeing the 14P and 15, I still prefer the small notch. I only see it as a stopgap measure until a 100% full screen iPhone is achieved. The small notch also doesn’t get in the way of 18:9 RU-vid videos which are slowly becoming more common.
@@madonnasplasticsurgeryI’m using a 15 pro max, coming from a 13 pro. I actually enjoy the dynamic island. The little conveniences it has outweighs it slightly cutting into 18:9 video. I also thought that would bother me since the 13 series “little notch” was very out of the way but yeah the amount the island cuts into those videos is heavily outweighed by the features you gain.
@@madonnasplasticsurgery The dynamic island hasn't been a problem for me. Even when watching videos. Whiles yes, I do prefer the small notch as its further away from the screen's center, the dynamic island is new to me. Since I did get tired of seeing the notch all the time, so the dynamic island is something fresh to liven up my experience. Including the animations it brings along with it.
I did order the 15 promax, but after looking and doing a bit of research, I cancelled, decided to stay with my 14 pro Max just isn’t anything I would call an upgrade, gone are the days of upgrading my phone every year. To be honest you could probably go three or four years now without really noticing anything new. I think we have come as far as we can with mobile phones now there doesn’t seem to be much innovation, a very slight camera upgrade and USB , I’ve only missed two new iPhones since the beginning, iPhone 12 pro-and the 15 pro 🇬🇧👍
I did the same… i have 12PM had a 15PM nat titanium waiting to be picked up since launch day at local Apple store. Just couldn’t justify the purchase. I let it expire. Not enough upgrade and too many potential issues IMO.
The main issue is the heat on the battery while charging, it heats up very fast, and you start to get that notification “charging is pause due to overheat”
I have heard as i have just been to Thailand for three months. That the Thai’s are returning their iPhone 15s as they cannot handle the Thai heat. The phones are getting extremely hot.
Got a 14 pro max like 7 months ago still love it and I agree imma just wait for the 16 or higher to upgrade cause 14 pro max ain’t to far off the new 15 pro max
My 14 pm was terrible lol. Bad battery life, lightening, heavy, WiFi and reception keeps dropping. My 15 pro max has never overheated. I slap a case on it. The battery is around 1-2 hours better, the WiFi has never dropped, the phone feels much better, and now I only need 1 cable
Great video Aaron!!! 🤗📱❤️ I just bought an iPhone 14 Pro Max 256GB in Gold 6 weeks ago like two weeks before Apple announced the new iPhone 15s I bought the iPhone to use on my secondary phone service on Verizon Wireless I used a iPhone SE 2 2020 black 64GB and I bought last year and I bought for Mother’s Day an iPhone 11 black 64GB but I really wanted to buy an iPhone 14 Pro Max I probably should have waited for the iPhone 15 but I really wanted a pro max iphone before ever so I got one brand new online and I have been really very happy with my new iPhone 14 Pro Max and the gold color is super fabulous it’s great I keep it in a Otterbox case. The 14 pro max has been great but it’s my secondary phone so I use it a little under my primary phone but the pro max is great and fun phone!!! 🤗📱❤️
I keep flip-flopping on whether or not to upgrade my 12 pro to a 15 pro max. Would love the bigger screen and better battery but my 12 pro still does the job just fine. Most likely will wait one more year.
I wanted to upgrade to a 15, but not with those issues. I have my 13 pro max (1tb) for 2 years now. I wonder if I should just replace the battery and keep on using this for the next year or two. Battery life still seems great though after 24 months.....
For what it's worth, I think you have the most solid version of the current iPhone design language. The 13 Pro Max with a fresh battery is extremely difficult to beat!
At the beginning of the video, you mentioned the prices of the two are about the same. That's not at all the case on this side of the atlantic, where the 14PM can be bought for roughly 500 dollars less then the 15PM. And for that huge price difference, the 15PM just looks like a bad deal to me.
The stainless steel looks more premium for sure. Maybe less comfortable to hold, but given the heat problems, they might as well make them all aluminum as it pretty much looks like aluminum. There’s nothing wrong with aluminum. I’d still buy an aluminum Pro.
@@jamesn7156not really considering the 15s are the watered down version of the 14 pros, while the pros have new processors etc. but also yeah, Apple confirmed.
I was gonna stay with my 14p but decided I really want a pro max for longer battery life. I half to keep my 14p on low power mode at work so I don’t loose all my charge. Ordered 15pm last week.
