Today we’re taking a look at the SUPCASE UB Pro Mag case for the iPhone 15 Pro. SUPCASE sent this over for review with the launch of the new iPhone 15s so let's check it out! I suspect the iPhone 15 Pro model is a good seller so there’s a lot of people out there who will be looking for solid case protection. The UB Pro Mag case that I have for review today is a dual layer interlocking case which does include a front frame option with a built-in screen protector. I’m a fan of this style of case because you’re getting the screen protector built and it’s a guaranteed fit, no fuss with getting it applied. The interlocking connection is tight, and the case encloses the iPhone 15 Pro here to provide good protection not just for the front and back but the sides, top, bottom, and corners. The screen protector is a decent thickness here, it shouldn’t have any issues standing up to the normal stuff that would come into contact with your screen and possibly scratch it. It also didn't impact the touch sensitivity at all so that’s good. The bezels that this case creates extend all around the perimeter of the iPhone, it's 2 to 3 mm tall from what it looks like. This is actually a super important case protection feature because when you drop your phone, odds are good it will fall peanut butter side down, meaning the screen side usually makes an impact. This extra case material in the bezel will lift up the actual iPhone body off of a flat surface for example. The bezels help absorb and redistribute those impact forces as well as ensuring the screen would never make contact in a drop scenario on a flat surface like your kitchen floor, the basement, or somewhere in your office. As far as the side, top, and bottom protection, it seems like we’re covered well here. They're all a decent thickness and while rigid, they do have some flex for a cushioning effect. The corners have a decent amount of case material on them, they look like they have a little extra material as well. In looking at the backside of the case, it looks like they went with the tried-and-true built-up camera cut out region for camera and camera lens protection. There’s extra material here at the cutout which will help support the case when it makes rear side impacts. These bezels create about 1 to 2 mm worth of distance between the lenses and a flat surface which compliments the small cutout region nicely. The lenses should end up making contact with anything in many drop scenarios. The main case body or the backside of this case is a decent thickness. As for extra functionality, we have a built-in magnetic kickstand here. I use the kickstands on my smartphone cases to prop up my phones on my desk or the counter so I can continue working while I watch videos. Who needs a tablet amirite? As the name suggests, this kickstand also makes the case MagSafe compatible. The magnets are a decent strength, they’ll work with rings, pop sockets, or car mounts just fine. The cutouts for the mic, speakers, and data port are all pretty reasonable here. The data port also features a flap cover which I’m a big fan of this will absolutely help keep your port cleaner and in working condition longer. No issues with wireless charging which is nice to see. In working with this case, I felt the case feel or how it felt in my hands was good. Not too slippery, not rough at all with decent dry and wet grip. If you’re looking for a case that puts protection at the forefront for your iPhone 15 Pro but also offers actual useful features and value, I would certainly recommend the SUPCASE UB Pro Mag case. I think it's a top contender in terms of value and it's a competitive option on the market in terms of iPhone 15 pro cases.
