I just want to note that the RU-vid Test wasnt fair. The 15 Pro was on fullscreen while the rest wasnt. And on The 14 Plus + 14 Pro Max the ambient mode was disabled!
@@andyH_England look at 2 years ago. 12 pro max and s20 ultra, s21 ultra, they all had the same level of great battery, then the 13 pros came out and pushed the limits farther and at the time of this comment we’re still living in iPhone 13 series battery life. It’s good, but when the 13 pm is beating the 14 pm in battery, and now the 14 pm is beating the 15 pm, something needs to change
@@InsighterofTech the iPhone 15 Pro Max beat the iPhone 14 Pro Max in browser SOT. It only lost in RU-vid which Google is very slowly updating and clearly is not optimised yet for the A17 pro chip. You can't base it on one non-optimized app, and then claim battery life is poor. I pointed out in another comment that when I use RU-vid on Safari it gets me 50% more SOT on iPhone 15PM. RU-vid is run by Google and they just don't bother to quickly update. So it is a poor example to test battery life. Use an optimised Apple app as that would be more reflective of good optimisation.
14 has less feautures which require less battery life + apple using a new 1st gen chip in the 15 whichh is why it is less optimized. the 16 will get the 2nd gen so it should be better
@@GAMERBOY-hh3lb I guess I just wanted a big iPhone that just gets the job done. The Pro just seems overkill for me and I don't have the budget for it too HAHA. Also, my old Android was 6 years old and it was quite literally dying so I was desperate for a new phone and couldn't wait much longer to save money :)
This can't be an accurate test, 14 lasting longer than 15 AND even 14 Plus? Doesn't make any sense considering the 14 and 14 Plus have the same hardware with higher battery capacity on the plus
very good video, I have 15 pro max with ios 17.2.1 but the battery is a little horrible in my opinion! It doesn't last much I would like to know if anyone has the same problem as me and will they fix the battery problem on iOS 17.3? thank you
My iPhone 14 Pro Max definitely doesn’t last that long, especially compared to my previous 13 Pro Max. The 14 series significantly impacted my battery life
Every chip is different; they are not all exactly the same in quality as that is impossible to achieve. His chip in the 14 Plus may be a lesser one, luck of the draw. We see the best example of the wide variation in quality in Samsung's Exynos 2200, that the best -v- the worse could mean half the battery life.
@@shivamkrishn This is common knowledge, so I have no idea why you are so horrible. It is commonly known as yield and is why we see binned chips, so those that are of lower quality can have the cores shut down preventing waste.

The whole test seems kinda odd tbh. In every other test, the basic iPhone 15 lasts longer than most of the other phones, including 14 Pro, by around 20% more. But in this test it died first lmao in web browsing test lmao. I don't know how it's possible 🤣
Wtf? Why was 15 discharged the very first? For other bloggers, it works longer than 15 pro. Either there's something wrong with your copy, or Apple has deliberately strangled it.
