I just ordered the 16 pro max and I really appreciate you doing this. One day we’ll meet and chop it up. Before I started my film business, you’re always the go to guy for tips and reviews. Thank you brother.
And how much are you making on a video like this between ad revenue, affiliate links, etc? And at what point does it become "worth it" financially to put all those hours into a video? In terms of amount of views and/or subscriber count to make a decent living?
I've heard these mics in a few different videos and I'm super impressed with how good they sound. I also wanted to point out if you wanted to use a standard phone clip with the power bank or the SSD mount you could still use a tripod. Magsafe would be cool, though.
I would love to see a video of you sharing your thoughts on the new iPhone from a filmmaker's perspective. Most reviews are from people who just love tech, but I'd really like to hear from someone who understands how it performs in real-world filmmaking scenarios.
Whoa! I clicked so fast! What’s up bro! I truly enjoy your vids and I’ve learned so much! I primarily use my iPhone 14 Pro Max but your advice is universal! Thnx
Those luts look amazing. And that mic sounds really decent especially for the price and they’re super light and convenient, I’m sold. Great video as always bro 🙌. Thank you
I have that exact mic but the quality of the phone mics are so good now. I bought the bundle for the mics. it comes with lightning, usbc and camera. I thought I would never use the camera one. Buttt I took my iPhone 16 Pro back already and bought my first camera instead . Also the mics come with stickers to cover the logos. they hiding I the box ha
Absolutely loved the look and sound of this video man! Fresh! Please what was that CAMTREE rig for the car windshield? I’m dying to know a good setup to rig your phone in the car to get those driving clips. Thanks again for all your videos!
Hey man, i know its not the point of the video, but cant help to congratulate on the mix for the audio on youre voice, have the same mics and youre mix sounds way cleaner, care to share the process?
I ordered the Lark M2 mics a couple days ago. I LOVE the idea to map the action button to Voice Memo!!! I went with the combo (phone + hot shoe receivers) so I can use it with my Canon or my iPhone depending on the day. I watched a bunch of reviews on them and I can tell a difference with no EQ in post. Out of the box, they sounded better than the DJI Mic 2. Only the Lark Max sounded a little better and the Rode Wireless Pro sounded a step better, but they cost almost 3x as much. Funny you didn't mention the black stickers they include to cover up the logo. Their noise isolation mode doesn't sound that great, but probably still decent if you need it. I'm curious about two things: how good are the mics on the new iPhone 16 (I got a Pro), and is there anything I can do to equip both the Lark via USB C AND an SSD? I will be trying some things later this week once my M2 set arrives.
Always great to bump into your videos!! The mic sound good but would love to see how they compare to the Rode Mic Pro*the 32bit version and against the phone mics. Thanks for sharing, cheers!
Some of these products are really handy but still there is no solution for adding an ssd and microphone in the iphone that is not bulky or have cables dangling. And I don’t mean using cages etc. i think lexar has got it right in their kickstarter campaign that has an insanew small ssd and a media hub.
