Which one are you getting? The iPhone 7 Plus or the Galaxy S8 Plus?

I like apple .. I love my iPhone .. but tired and irritated of the same design concept it uses every year ... the Samsung galaxy s8 did up their game this year with the s8.. I know looks are subjective but the s8 looks like a phone from future ... there is no denying that apple has to change the design of its phones this year .. they cannot just rely on software superiority all the time ..

My Brain tells to take 7plus BUT my heart tells S8

IPhone looks so dated next to the S8. Like classic Star Trek compared to Next Gen. Even the ecosystem cannot make me choose the iPhone anymore, because the difference is more like it is with camera, i.e. insignificant.

Had my S8+ for a couple weeks now and still can't stop staring at the thing, it's gorgeous!

I was a Samsung user for years. Take this info from a working guy that on his phone's for work constantly... I still have my S7 and use it for fun but my service has been moved to a new iPhone 7 Plus. On paper the specs for the S8 are better, but the problem is Android and shared memory between the SD card and main memory. Android is still a battery sucker when many background processes are going on. The battery life in the iPhone 7 Plus is just crazy long compared to any S8 once you load both phones down with apps and data. As you start loading apps on Android N and more background processes start accumulating, both battery life and response time to the user goes down dramatically. You don't get that on IOS. You also get a better upgrade cycle on IOS. Also the SD card is slower memory than on the iPhone which makes a loaded S8 even more sluggish. Additionally, the iPhone has more than double the single core performance than the S8 let alone the S7 and most apps use this single core performance over the multicore. The smoothness of the experience, battery life and app quality still can't be matched in the iPhone hate to admit it because I was a big fan of the S7. I think I was deluded by raw specs. They never give you the specs of the OSs though... also 3d touch is quite useful, the fingerprint sensor on the back of the S8 next to the camera and high up on the case, admit it, totally sucks and the S8 will still have maintenance shuttling apps between the card and the phone and asking you to do periodic reboots. That Iris scanning thing reminds me of the Lumia 950 and it's just slower and weird. Android is still not even close to iOS and I can tell this just by using my first iPhone for just two weeks. If you dress up the iPhone with a hot Qi charging case and a glass screen protector, in Black the bezels blend in nicely it looks pretty sophisticated...and that dual camera lens is really useful. Using the iPhone with Google apps is great and using the Google swipe keyboard with Spark email program is best of breed business solution. I don't think that all of this extra screen resolution even matters, Samsung has it turned off by default...and the rounded screen around the edge is really not functional to me it just makes it harder to case and hold the phone. I enjoy the killer fast fingerprint reader on the front. That tiny home button on the bottom of the S8's screen is just ok but very low on the screen to actuate. What is up with the color variance on the S8 OLED screens? Does the fast charging kill the battery like it did on my S7? And what is with the Samsung Bloatware? Do we need two of every app? Google Search and Bixby? Samsung is duplicating every Google app function and shipping it just in the case that they leave Android in the future, and the Samsung knockoff apps are really not that great. It's neat that Samsung Pay can use the magstripe reader to send card info, but does anyone in their right mind even think about trying this feature? Like many of the whiz-bang features on Samsung phones, the features are either under-used, half baked, or just addressing a problem that is not there...

too many Apple fanboys here trying to justify their Apple purchase!!! this video covers every feature on both phones, S8 is the clear winner... there's no comparison!!! my wife has a iPhone 7 plus and I have a S6 edge and my 2 year old phone is far superior than the current iPhone! the last time I had an iPhone was the 5... Samsung have just been producing better phones at a cheaper price! don't be so loyal to a brand!!! get your money's worth!!!

I been an Apple user since 2013 but unfortunately I see a company that cares more about profit than to listening to customer. Apple really took advantage of customers by providing little for a lot. Too often they are last on innovation and the only thing that they have going for them is the OS. Samsung has done a most better job listening and bringing innovation to the market. I'm selling my iPhone and getting the S8 plus.

The iphone camera wins , the low light argument is weak. The 2x optical is the feature that everyone wants, pro or not , because its all about getting that close up shot that makes for a good pic.

What struck me most is Samsung's push to include as much as they can in their phones and this time around with a very polish look in hardware and software. It is these innovations that ultimately benefit the consumer. I am happy to see Samsung's new flagship is competing with Apple and other companies. I can't wait to see what 2017 brings for mobile devices.

i have an iphone 7 plus and im thinking to switch to the s8 plus..I love the display, small bezles, the better resolution and the "Freedom" of customization of Android..

I'd buy the one which will keep-on getting officially updated to the latest OS version, Even after 3, 4 or 5 years. Which won't be the S8.

Many are complaining about general stuttering/lag on the S8 and S8+, usually seen when scrolling. I'm noticing the same with mine. I work as a phone-retailer and recommend you try it out before buying. Have a nice day!

The S8 is stunning. Like something from a fantasy film. But it isn’t really for me. In the same way that women’s jewellery isn’t for me. I went for the iPhone 7 Plus Jet Black and think it looks amazing.

The iPhone 7 wasn't competing with the galaxy S8 it was competing with the galaxy note 7 the iPhone eight will be competing with the galaxy S8

you can choose the ability to go directly into your phone by pressing the on screen home key on the galaxy s8, so it basicly does work like a fingerprint function after all... so yes, you can actually unlock it while it is laying down on a table... ofcourse its not personalized like a fingerprint function is, but at least it works... i think its misleading that you dont mention this...

The facts were accurate & the specs were dead on. its frustrating watching all these videos posted that in my opinion are off the wall. inregards to the s8 s8+ and ip7 ip7+ the s8 dominates in pretty much every catagory. i work for a mobile carrier and i always wonder why i phone customers are so impressed. The i phone has clearly fallen behind and struggling to keep pace. im com on its like unboxing the same phone every year. personal opinion

I still like my iPhone 7plus. Had problems with android using them for yrs. owned my iPhone 4 months. So far good quality. Better warranty. Won't go back to android

The iPhone is more practical for everyday use. The S8 is pretty to look at but with the bezeless design its awkward to hold and seems very fragile. If you crack the glass its a wrap. To get it repaired will cost you almost as much as the phone itself. I think alot of people dont consider that when trying to choose. I am far from an Apple fanboy (I have a S7) im just saying when the wow factor of the S8 wears off and you just want a phone that's durable, reliable and works well then you might want the iPhone.

It's really frustrating but as much as I love the S8, I have no choice but to go with the iPhone due to its faster, smoother os. For my job, I tried to switch to the S8 and couldn't make it longer than a week. At the end of the day.....that damn boring iPhone just works better.

I have the Samsung Galaxy S8+ and I definitely love it. In terms of apps I find some that the Play Store has more apps available than Apple's Appstore, plus the Play Store has apps that are free that you have to pay for on Apple. Sure if you want to play games it may be better on Apple but for mobile gaming no one beats Nintendo period so I choose the 3DS for my gaming on the go needs never have been a big gamer on a phone anyway.

doubt anyone will answer since the video is quite old but: currently I have a Galaxy s6 edge and I'm planning on switching to either s8+ or iphone 7+. What's drawing me towards apple again even though Samsung hardware is far superior is the fact that after just a few months of using my galaxy, it became progressively laggy, slow and glitchy, leaving me hanging in important times, getting stuck for seconds on the same screen after commands and sometimes restarting or locking the phone mid action. The battery life also became shit, barely lasting till lunch without needing a charge. I clean my phone almost weekly, take care of it pretty well, but it's performance deteriorated anyway. before having this phone, I had a iphone 6s and never had this problem, ever. Now even though I'm very drawn to the s8+ for its specs and fantastic camera and screen, I'm afraid the same might happen to it because of its software. for a average consumer who wants a reliable and long lasting phone that won't ever leave me hanging and will last a whole day while taking great photos, which one should I get?

about multitasking on one display: when i bought my Samsung note 3 it also had that feature BUT not every app could be used like that! so you were able to shrink google maps, built-in mail and built-in video. There was a special extra panel for thae apps that worked like that. ANOTHER "BUT" is that after a few upgrades this feature just disappeared from my phone and now windows dont shrink anymore (in about 1 year after they relised it).

i am looking for a new phone, running an iphone 6s plus for last 2 years. Previously i was an Android user since mobiles were invented, so I have some experience with them. All I can say is that this iphone is running as smooth and as fast as on day 1, and its loaded with Apps etc. Every Android phone i have ever had, including my beloved HTC One M7 (still love that sucker) stopped working or froze up etc, except my Nokia 3310, and although I'm old skool i ain't going there again! So I feel that these iphones ARE really reliable, you get double the resale for them (may as well throw most Android devices out at 2 years old) and for Apps and games they are peerless. Probably for what i like most, Find My Phone, FaceTime, Apps, Apple Pay, iMessage, I would be going that way again. I just wish the iphone 8 was out now so we could either get on board or dismiss it and go with probably the best overall phone ever made to date, the S8 plus.

How can you say the cameras are equal? The 7plus has 2x optical zoom, and the biggest feature is the portrait setting. That missed feature is HUGE!

I like using the S8+ in fact I am using the S8+ with the nice curve screen all around etc.. BUT which is more comfortable on hand? Believe me its the iPhone. I mean alot of things that it can do with the Samsung but for me.. I have to add a casing to feel the wideness of the phone when the iPhone doesnt have to. Arguable topic really

In features the galaxy is the win, but in the performance the iPhone is the winner and this the most important thing in iPhone

Reason why it's so damn difficult to leave Apple's ecosystem EVEN if you only have an iPhone is that everything in iOS is optimized. I don't, and a lot of people don't as well, agree with how a few things are done within the system BUT it is still optimized to run incredibly stable and fast, not to mention app support as they run more fluidly/stable within the iOS guidelines. However, as beautiful as the S8/S8 Plus is, their Samsung software is still half-baked DESPITE it's major upgrade this year. BUT I'm still probably going to get it JUST for that screen.... lol

My concern with a smartphone contains 2 things....camera and quality of service, meaning how well the phone receives connection to the towers. We live in a fairly remote area and when we go to our cabin all of the iPhones (I'm pretty much the only family member with Samsung) have 3 or 4 bars (mostly S6's) and my galaxy 6s is lucky to have 1 or 2. Is the reception in the s8+ better now? Thanks in advance

I have both phones and gotta say that both feel snappy to me. Although to be fair I don't game a lot . I most consume media which means I care about good LTE speeds. For that reason at this moment in time the S8 is better then my iPhone 7+. I literally ran side by side speed test with T-mobile and got 30mb faster download and 10 on the upload with s8 which is a significant difference.

Bare in mind in mind the iPhone 8 hasn't come out yet however the 7 + is keeping up with the s8

S8 can you use fingerprint with another method together? For example if the phone is mounted to car mount, I want to use pattern code as it is hard to reach the back fingerprint scanner, when not mounted I want to use fingerprint. Without always going to the settings to change anything when I want to use fingerprint/pattern each time.
