How Should You Charge Your iPhone (Battery Health & More) • How Should You Charge ... In this video I explain you why your iPhone and charger are getting hot (overheating) when you charge it and if you should worry!
Lol i think apple just need to improve their fast charging technology. I have an iphone 13 pro and it gets hot while im charging even if my phone is off. We have android phones that have a higher wattages of fast charging and it never gets hot even if i use it while charging.
I have iphone 13 which is one year old and it was okay for first 3 months but after that it started heating up badly while charging. I thought it was just a software bug and may get fixed in next update but till date on ios 16.5 it gets hot. I took it to apple service center and they diagnosed the phone and told me there is nothing wrong with the hardware and suggested a software reinstall which will delete all my data on the phone. I have not done it yet but i am thinkin lg of doing it. What do you think should i do it or not
my 13 pro max's adapter is getting warm (hotter side) while my iphone itself is getting warm (not hot).....but after it has done charging 80% charging, it cools down and slow charges above 80
I don’t think that answers my problem, because when I charge, while not looking or playing it while charging at the same time, and I’m charging it in the cold environments!
Thanks man i was so worried about it… now i know the actual reason…today my room temperature was 36 & i was doing charging my 14 pro max…suddenly i noticed that my phone was going hot and it hold to receive charging…
I agree with all of this. My biggest mistake was playing a newer graphics intensive game, the 20% Low Battery notification pops up, and I plug it in and keep playing. Gotta finish up and stop playing, plug it in, put it on an non-flat surface (or on its side), and go eat/drink something, whatever.
I had my iphone hot multiple times. All apple does is does an overheating diagnostic, and if it does not overheat once in the past, then they will not do anything about it. I believe it has to do more with the house outlet than the phone itself.
For everyone in the future freaking out, it’s A-OK, it’s only getting super hot due to it being used while charging, when it’s not being used it’s cooler
There’s nothing wrong with the iPhone 13 getting hot. The extra heat was accounted for in the design. Charging while using the phone is completely safe.
My issue is the phone overheats really badly while on the charger and is not being touched. It's causing the phone to constantly turn on and off by itself. Personally, I've never had any issues with any galaxy phone I've owned having this issue. Some overheating from fast charging is to be expected but there seems to be another issue with this iphone.
Watch out for the biggest new scam run by “Apple”. Bought iphone 12pro (1880AUD) in 2021. Since then it’s been heating up showing “temperature warnings”which makes the phone stop working. Apple store denied replacement & repair! Do not trust Apple(expensive scam products)!
Don't worry it's normal, it's science. The phone has built in technology to take a certain amount of heat, as the fast charging can make your phone really hot since energy is moving in a fast pace, and energy movement creates heat. If the heat is exceeding what ur phone can take then it will shut off to stop it from being damaged, I think it's normal because again with all the heat being created but if you think it's an issues then take it to an apple store or call them and see what they have to say
same problem but problem was on the charger adapter!! i was cheated with 20w adapter i bought it as it is original by apple but was just an copy/fake adapter getting my phone very hot i just buy a new one from apple store and now my iphone 13 pro super cooled when its charging but little hot just little thats fine please look at your adapter if it original or fake it could do this issue
Thanks! This is actually my daughter’s account, oh well. My daughter had brought this up at the Apple Store when she had her phone repaired. She told them it gets really hot and they said it was normal. On another day when her phone got very hot, can’t touch it hot. She took off her case to let it cool off and the back of her iPhone 14 was shattered like a spider web, and she hadn’t dropped it. I told her to call Apple and tell them it seems the phone got so hot it cracked the back of the phone under the case. Again they claimed it was ok. I am with you in saying this is not good. I heard something a couple of weeks ago that Apple recommended against charging your phone over night in case it stars a fire. There is obviously a huge problem if people are being cautioned to not charge their cell phone overnight in case it catches itself on fire, they just acknowledged a serious little issue, but have the nerve to claim it’s normal to get extremely hot. Any suggestions to toss at Apple techs to get them to be part of a solution and not part of a problem.
Omg same I thought I was the only one. Had mine bought a week ago and I notice everytime I charge it with 20w it gets charged really fast but it gets hot. I even take it out from my case but I would still get the notification that the battery was too hot and it cant charge further
I solved the overheating and battery fast draining problem with my old iPhone 4 by checking the connection with the camera, it was not 100% conected , in my case I removed it since I don't need the camera, I only use the phone to play mp3, but maybe my experience may work too with newer models.
It’s been two months I am using an iPhone 13. For the first two months, it didnt’t have any kind of issue. Now it becomes hot while charging or while watching some live stream on browser.
Thank you Daniel for your update on over heating charger & Iphone coz am in Russia 🇷🇺 and I just bought a MagSafe charger for my IPhone 12 but your video better feel better coz I was worried of the getting warm and hot.👍
My iPhone 15 gets really warm when it’s connected to my fast charger. But it’s normal and doesn’t really bother me because it’s the only time it gets really warm. I use my Samsung superfast charger and it works beautifully with my iPhone 15.
Guys don't listen to him!! It's completely normal for your phone to get really hot while charging without using it, because it's a 20 watt charger and its a fast charger , meaning energy is going to go quickly through your phone, and energy movement creates heat, and in this case because the energy is moving in a fast pace the energy will create more heat, causing your phone to get really hot. It's not bad for your phone as this was the design. Your phone has built in technology to handle this heat, and if it does exceed the temperature it can take, then your phone will display a notification saying that your phone is getting too hot and will shut off, and block any more energy from entering your phone from the charger until it has cooled down to the temperature it can take. It's literally science. Apple will not create a new fast charging technology if it will harm the battery. It is normal, However if you still are unsure use a regular charger instead of of a fast charger. I tested this out because i got scared at first because i thought that this wasn't normal, I charged my phone w the fast charger for 10 minutes and it got really really hot, so I took it off and waited for it to cool down, then I tried w a 5 watt charger, and after 10 minutes I felt my phone it was cold.
I always use the old 5w Apple charger for this reason. My question to Apple is: Why i have charged Android phones with 65w and they got lots less hot than the iPhone with 20w? I expected more from Apple
You’re just making things up and stating it as a fact. Calling it “science” and energy moving really fast? There’s actually not a single thing about your comment that is even close to true. It’s a lithium ion battery, which contains thin strips of lithium metal which is an unbelievably reactive element. So reactive that lithium will explode and burn a dark red flame that you won’t be able to put out until the lithium is all burned up. Spraying it with water will make it burn even hotter and even more violently. Don’t believe me, then here take a look at what a defective lithium battery looks like. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8nz5ijXcckI.html
I only experience the phone is heating while charging on my android until i switch to iPhone 13 i notice that the phone is heating while charging even i don't use it
I just bought iPhone 15 Pro Max and it gets very hot while charging, this really worries me. I don't use it while charging and I use Apple cable and Samsung 25W charger. I have never seen anything like this before!
The issue I have with the high temperature is a physics problem, it cannot possibly be more efficient to charge the phone with MagSafe, so much energy is being wasted in the form of heat. Seems very wasteful to turn my phone into a heater.
I just got my iphone 13 pro max, and when I plug it in charge it just get hot, and I don’t use phone while its charging and my charger is 20w and outside its 30-40 celsius and my phone is in the shade, but still gets hot while charger is bit warm but in general room that its in is hot so should I be worried or no?
is there a problem that can be caused by my charger? Cause I the charger that I had before never had this problem and now with the new one I have now my phone starts to heat up fast
If turn phone off while charging it will charge a lot faster than airplane ✈️ mode I had my lightning port replaced by apple & it’s expensive anyways yeah I noticed after they given a cheap thin case that was very hot on wireless charging had switch cases When wall charge doesn’t heat up using Gan charger I placed my iPhone X on my older qi pad wasn’t heating up it the 15 watt that creating more heat
Does the apple silicone case or any other apple case contribute to heating the iPhone 13? I charged my brand new iPhone 13 mini the the apple silicone case at 20% with the apple fast charger and it was hot. Not burning but more than warm.
It's normal for it to get hot. The fast charging makes it hot because energy movement creates heat and energy is moving really quickly to your phone so obviously it will get hot
My room is very hot because I’m having a heat wave but there’s nothing I can do. I don’t have an AC. I have a fan pointing out towards both windows to try to keep it the hot air cool but it’s not helping and my whole house is hot so I don’t know what to do.
The reason why ur phone is hot is because u using a too fast charger 5w charger is the perfect one u should remove the case while the phone is charging too
If we charge iPhone with 67W charger the phone will most like explode that's why they have set the maximum input for fast charging to 27W and that's not really a fast charge in 2023. Apple is taking their customers for granted.
My phone gets so hot I have to take off the case so it cools down. And I don’t use it while it’s changing. Only noticed it when I got a call and needed to answer while it was changing.
Hi I have bought new iphone 13 and charging it with 5 watt apple original cable and charger but the adapter gets heated a bit much not the mobile is there any issue with the adapter? Please tell me.
I have iphn 13 and it gets hot while charging i do not use it usually while charging but still it gets i think i should go to the apple store for further information i guess….
Coming from Samsung phone to iPhone 11 pro with 20w charger it was massive Hot maybe the glass back Samsung didn't heat that much while playing games also so I am warried about it
I just bought my iPhone 13 7 days ago. And instead of buying apple adopter I bought the Anker 20w adopter. When I charged my phone it was so hot. Does the Anker 20w makes it hot or what?
My iPhone 14 Pro Max yesterday was very hot and I took it off charge and took off the case so it won’t be as hot so then I deleted some storage cause it kinda helps and closed out apps and deleted some apps I don’t use and then after a. Minute or two it wasn’t hot
it has to do with the update I think because recently I updated to newest ios and my iphone is a bit hot while charging. Im not using it while charging. Never been like this before. I'm using 14 pro max
Dude IPhones are inferiors in that manner, I mean my 14 pro max is always overheating even after taking more than 5 photos in a row. Every time I charge it it is burning hot. It’s really stressful and shouldn’t happen on a 1500$ phone. Every other inferior phone I had never had similar issues. I hate the cameras as well. The only upside is the strong processing power.
Same happened with mine I bought a 14 pro yesterday and I used it for 4 hours without charging and it was heating and while I put that on charge the charging history showing that the device charging was delayed or something due to heating and I asked one of my friend they said it's perrty normal for an Iphone Well I am a new user but I hope this won't affect the battery health of the device
Ok i have AC so i will always do this with it turned on but i dont feel its hot in room now while i charged it so i didnt turned it on, on back of phone is like middle heat not burning and charger is hotter but it stopped at 80 percent so i guess its was fine charging thx for all info
Does the home electricity might damage iPhone .I’ve noticed that when i charging my iPhone at home the charger and iPhone itself getting hot and when I use charger outside the home I don’t feel heating during the charging but my i phone when I use it heat up
That's because electricity in public isn't as strong as in your home, when you charge your phone at home, more energy will be transmitted so your phone will get hot because energy creates heat, but in public because the electricity there isn't good, less energy will be going through your phone, and at a very slow pace so it will not heat up
I bought iPhone 11 in one store ( it isnt apple), and when i charge my phone it gets really really hot. So i got my phone to service but they said that my iPhone is okay. Than i contacted Apple store and they said that i should worry. So they said to bring my phone to apple store but even if they see something they cant do anything because i didnt bought iphone in theyr store😢
The crazy part is that the phone he used is the same one I use😭😭 and it go hella hot and I got scared be it’s like a thousand dollars phone and it’s not my phone
