I’ve had like 6 of these now. They always end up skipping songs, pausing songs and then eventually only plays sound in one ear. I’ll try this, but I doubt it will work in my case. I hate those things

Your phone/the adapter is probably getting dirty or you’re being too rough with it. Try being gentler and cleaning the adapter and charging port and headphones in general often.

i have an off brand braided adapter because i was tired of replacing them. sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason why. i have to stand on one leg jump up and down sacrifice a chicken while repeatedly plugging and unplugging the adapter into the phone until some combination of voodoo works. so frustrating

For my iphone 12 it is not showing lightning adapter and i am only able to hear sound in my right earbud and the sound on my left earbud is very low as compared to the right one. And it is only working when my bluetooth in on

Very helpful; mine’s working again. My adapter worked properly -recording from interface- at first then suddenly stopped. I wasted day trying to figure out if phone or cords were broken. Not sure why it stopped working…did I overload the sound levels of the phone and trigger an automatic override? That might be a useful feature if it prevented damage to audio of the phone, but I’m not sure how Apple engineers would expect laypeople to figure out these steps out on their own, and I’m guessing what made it stop in the first place. Any ideas?

Please update to latest iOS do this first. Then connect lightning adapter with headphones. On Home Screen you may see a headphone picture asking to connect. For some reason keep your Bluetooth on and check your list of devices

I don’t see that on my iPhone X but every time I turn off my phone wait for like 5 seconds plug those headphones in you got and it works but when I take it out I got to power my phone again and turn it back it for it to work but I don’t see that settings ❤

Whenever I try to play music with my iPhone 11 on my lighting adapter connected to an aux it plays out of my phones speakers, not the audio device the adapter/aux is connected to. Frustrating. In my case, the solution is different! OS16.5.1. When I plug the headphone with the adaptor in, a voice in the headphone says 'Power on' - but no music is playing; still sound off the phone, not in the headphone. Then I must turn Bluetooth ON and select 'lighting' as device -- then a voice says connected in the headphone. And then it works. BUT only for a minute or so as the volume reduces itself down to zero. How to fix that??? Also, is Apple software trying us to be Bluetooth radiated? We do not need Bluetooth with a cable headphone!!!

I found I was using a Non TRSS extension cord to the adapter. you cant use a stereo mini plug extension cord, I will see if I can find a TRSS extension , duh, what a troubleshooting nightmare
