I expect it to be powerful enough for use at home or for simple things, but it is amazing that there are flashlights the size of a small finger that are 13 times more powerful than a phone’s flashlight.
ever since i tried the ios 18 beta i was wondering if one of the flashlight channels is gonna cover this. Most normal people will probably clown on this and not take it seriously but i think its super impressive. I mean if the led in there was more powerful, this would be insane. Really the fact that you have to use the touchscreen for it and the fact that its only 30 lumens just really limits its use.
With its size, 30 lumens probably the most it can do already. Ra@93 R9@88 probably cost the lumens a lot, but it’s a flash for photos and videos anyway.
Hello, I may have a strange question. I used to have a flashlight that was made of plastic and yellow in color. it had multiple colors of LED that you could use by choosing the color or making it flash by turning I believe a hexagonal or octagonal lens into different switching positions. It was powered by a camera battery and had a metal clip on the back that could be used on multiple accessories. Unfortunately mine was stolen and I don't remember the brand or types, but I would like to replace it. Are there perhaps people here who know what kind of flashlight I mean? I hope that somebody can help me to find one again, it has been many years but I'm still looking for one.
5:35 Apple filed a patent some months ago, with a flash design that uses a combination of LEP and LED. (I only saw it, because Ice Universe tweeted about it.) But to be honest LEP seems to dangerous for the mass market:/
I’m so stoked to get this new iPhone when it drops. Had forgotten about those improvements to the flash, definitely very cool to see. I think I remember MKBHD glossing over it like it was nothing, and here I was like dude what? That’s super dope. Then again, us flashlight lovers aren’t the norm. Pretty exciting, specially since I’m coming from an iPhone 8, so 7 years worth of upgrades. This phone’s still nearly mint, and I was waiting for them to bring back the home button/fingerprint sensor, but it’s been long enough and the camera upgrades alone merit my updating to the latest model. Also pleased at the expanded storage options. I’ll probably get 1TB and be very happy with it. Sure, there’s a 2TB option, and the better cameras will come with larger file sizes, but at 7 years with 256GB being no issue (without ever using iCloud), I’m sure 4x the storage will be perfectly fine, especially when you can just record straight into an external SSD if you’re gonna be doing 4k or any extended, large file sizes. If your storage is full, you can just dump it into your NAS or whatever external storage you may have.
