i got an iphone SE yesterday and i have to say, it was amazing. i never had an iphone before. the only problem is the battery, the battery would only last for 6 hours! i recommend you to bring your charger with you.
@@chrisyokis6581 possibly! Not too sure, Im more of a heavy user so I use my SE and it runs out of battery in like 5-6 hours, but when it’s off it does do an amazing job of saving battery
@@divyapm5102 bro before buying I had the same confusion , I asked all my friends those who were using one plus nord , “if it’s worth it buying now ?” All of them straight away said no . And I had a close friend who was using iPhone SE 2020 asked him about it , he said go for it . And it was a good decision . Oneplus original segment is way better choice in android than node .
@@abhishekjami1999 I heard that after iOS 14 update the battery drain drastically. Is it true ?.. how much battery backup you get throughout a day ?? Please reply 🙏🙏
@@sandeshsonje9439 I have noticed no difference. I still easily get a day, even two on a charge. My usage isn’t heavy, mostly email, texting, and listening to music and podcasts
I've had my iphone SE2020 for almost a year and I LOVE it! It's a powerhouse and handles system updates with zero issues, I love the small form factor, and the build quality is outstanding. Touch ID? A godsend. Best investment in personal tech I've made in a while. Thanks for the updated review!
I bought an SE a couple of months ago to replace my 6S. The only thing I regret is not buying it when it was new to it came with EarPods and a brick in the box. On the bright side though I did get a USB C to Lightning cable
iPhone SE user public attentionWhatever you want to cut budget on, don’t try to cut budget on the charger, the 18w input charging is surely worth the 30 or 40 is dollar price
I bought my preowned iphone se and was blessed that the original owner never used any of the accessories. That was a plus for me and I saved 150 dollars. Yay.
I’ve been a lifetime Android user (around 10 years) and this was my first iPhone. And now I can’t imagine going back to Android ever again. It’s safe, protects privacy and the Apps are just better and smoother to use. I got the 64 GB version because I store my photos in iCloud and use Apple Music which means my storage is barely used. And let us not forget the beautiful glass design.
Same! After 3 androids I just wasn't excited about getting a new one. Thought about a new vendor first such as Xiaomi but meh... It would be more of the same for sure. Lots of people are getting into the iPhone train just now and SE model really facilitates that! Also good tip on iCloud and Apple Music!
@@windskm same here except with LG leaving the mobile market, no other android seems appealing to me...the iphone just has all the boxes checked I want, good point and click camera, very smooth performance, a less glitchy experience overall, and many years of support/updates unlike LG which was so bad it became a stereotype, and android isn't that great as a whole on updates. I've had an LG V35 2018 flagship for a few years now which has had its share of problems...the only other android that appealed to me was their last flagship they made, the V60, but I read from users one too many stories of problems with software lagging out despite flagship specs, and hardware problems, on top of the in-screen fingerprint sensor being very flaky. This iphone SE is only $150 on straight talk prepaid I saw too which makes it even more of an amazing deal...as I've gotten older I want something that just works good and smoothly...I can't tell you how tired I am of having to do "android housekeeping" like restarts, reboots, cache cleaning, and using another cleaning app too just to keep performance good on a flagship. I was also always wanting more from the disappointing V35 camera...over time I got remarks the photos looked like water colored oil paintings and wide angle shots looked like a fish bowl, I had to laugh because they did lol, and shutter speed to actually take pics was slow like a snail even compared to the 6 year old iphone 6S that side by side last year when I tested them felt faster and more fluid and its camera took pics instantaneously compared to the v35
@@SolidSnake4Ever2003 Those are all of the reasons why I don’t wanna go back to android no longer lol, along with some other personal issues. If I never got the iPhone 11 as a gift, I definitely would’ve chose the SE myself
Bought it in Product RED and the tail end of last year after upgrade from the 1st Generation iPhone SE and I’m loving it and I also went for the Apple Watch SE. Such great Value. ⌚️📱😎👍🏼
I bought an iPhone SE 2020 as my secondary phone. But it is so good that it became my daily driver. I'm satisfied with it. My only issue is the battery, for I have to charge 2x a day; I'm a heavy phone user. But that's what power banks are for. And I love the fact that my airpods pro works seamlessly with it. The combination of iPhone SE 2020 and airpods pro is more than the sum of its parts. I picked this over the other iPhones because of Touch ID. I hope they return Touch ID in future iPhones.
Agreed, as long as you know what you're getting yourself into by buying a small compact phone like the SE 2020. It definitely is a great bang-for-buck iPhone.
I have the black iPhone SE with black silicone case on it, and I love it! The very definition of eleganance and slick. Been rocking for almost a year now with 94% battery health. :)
Watching on my iPhone se. Still the best value for money you can get. 1 year later and it’s still functions just like new. I have no regrets with this purchase and I recommend it to anyone looking for a new phone.
I got my SE in October and I love it. I also am glad you didn't constantly talk about the XR and 11 being bigger or better because that's really not what this phone is. Thank you for recommending it! Getting one for my dad soon!
@@SuperSakhawat it's decent from what you'd expect from a smaller size phone. Your battery usage will depend on how much you use and what for you use it.
@@moonchild5512 it's the same size as iPhone 6/7/8 I believe it's 4.7 inches, so it's on the smaller size, it fits comfortably in your hand, and it is faster than it's predecessors
Literally about purchase it tomorrow! I'm so excited. It'll be an upgrade from my current (by current I mean shared between my brother and I) phone, the 16GB Samsung J3 Prime. It's been a long ride, old Prime, but it's finally time to move on! God bless!
Love this thing! Got it last August and use it heavily every day, no issues at all! It was the entrance to the Apple ecosystem for me. Since then I have purchased both a MacBook Pro and an Apple Watch SE.
@@walilili Primarily lots of social media, RU-vid, and Spotify. No more than 4ish hours of screen on a day with Bluetooth on all day for my watch. The battery is usually just enough to make it through.
Had my SE 2020 for a year. Cracking little phone but the battery does let it down. Keep a charger cable in my car plugged into the usb solves that problem. Having come over from Android the updates Apple gives are a deal breaker for people like myself who keep phones for years. Enjoy watching your channel over here in England .
Got my 64gb in silver for $49.99 plus tax switching over to Boost a week ago. Boost Mobile is “meh” in service, however, it was too great a deal to pass up! The deal is going through the end of May! Love your content btw!
Agreed! I picked one up last year a month after release and have still got one year left due to phone contract. Maybe next year I’ll pick up an Iphone 13 mini or whatever they will call it...
I updated to an iPhone 12 Pro (not max) from an SE and the bastard barely fits in my pocket while I'm running. I've exhumed a few old cycling tops so it goes in the back pockets now....job done. The 2020 SE is a brilliant phone.
I actually have this iPhone because my Xs got damaged and I didn’t want to spend lots of money and really no regrets this iPhone is just insane and really comfortable
Got this bad boy last year & its been the best phone ive ever had. I had upgraded from a 5s to it was safe to say I needed a new phone & I'm glad I went with this one. What really sold me was the internal specs and knowing it'll be supported by apple for years!!
Get the iPhone 7 smart battery case for it to add battery life. You will lose wireless charging and fast charging, but a 12w maximum input is more than third party options. And I can't stress enough how well the smart battery case works, mophie juice pack feels like a power bank attached to my phone, will smart battery case feels like a part of my phone.
I've been searching for a 4.7 just like my 6s for years now. There are infinite amount of giant phones, I just want to fit it in my pocket and talk comfortably. Leave my size alone.
@@xFlared The Motorola phones weren't even giant. All these phones fit in your pocket, you don't need a terribly small 4.7 inch phone for it to stay in your pocket...
I just learned today that I am a so called “Pixel Peeper”. 😭 Ever since I practiced digital drawing back in 7th grade (coz I think the material cost is cheaper), I became really anxious about details. I zoom pictures pretty hard, and fix even an unnoticeable detail. It’s a good thing to have digital skills, but it’s also a curse at times. P.S. Despite that, I really love my iPhone SE 2020. I am satisfied with what it gives me. I’m just a light phone user that’s why I didn’t invest too much and got this. But it never disappoints me. After seeing comparison videos of IPhone SE 2020 over other flagship Apple phones, I’m glad to see that it held up pretty well considering it’s price. And I have observed that Apple is the only manufacturer that never compromised phones too much just because it’s in the lower end. If not, they’re making it better and comparable to their flagship. If you’re a person who uses phone lightly or on a tight budget, consider buying this. It’s not a waste of money, and you will be really satisfied with the performance that it gives.
If you're gonna get one I say get it from Amazon, mine came and there was a small but noticeable gap in the back glass, so I told Amazon about it and within literally 20 minutes they had a replacement sent out for the next day and gave me a label to put on the return box and return it within a couple weeks.
SE 2020 is a good phone. Honestly, whatever phone is reviewed the people either not like it or will love it. Bottom line is people can’t be satisfied. Good video. Just subscribed. Thanks.
I came from Android. I had a moto g stylus. I loved it. Awesome camera. 128 gb storage. But when I seen I can get a new iPhone for 150 to switch carriers I hopped on it. Now I’m an apple fan. This phone is lighting fast. People talk about the battery. I use heavily and might need to charge at 6pm. And it charges in a half hour. No problems I love it
@@viannccaa but it can easily be replaced by Apple. It’s cheaper to replace the battery for $50 compared to the $70 you need to pay for any Face ID iPhone
@@viannccaa I mean if you do replace it you’re extending your phones life. It’s better to replace it when u need to instead of just buying a totally new phone for even more $, when u coulda just extended ur phones life for a cheaper price if u don’t have Apple care
I'm getting an iPhone se for my birthday on June 2nd, my mom already bought it and took a picture of it then showed me. I wanna switch to iphone and It's gonna be my first iphone, my family asked "why didn't you get the XR or 11?" and I said "I don't like spending my mom's money and it's a newer phone than both of those for a lower price, it also isn't a big phone like mine which is good."(I got the Samsung Galaxy A21 rn so it'll be a HUGE upgrade
Man I’ve got a XR and I just ordered the iPhone se. I got it today and I’m nervous now lol 😂! I’m afraid the screen size won’t be what I want. It’s such a great little phone though. I thought about the 12 mini BUT I got the SE for $199 and the 12 mini is $749 I believe.
The Best thing I liked about this video was that at least you didn't take out your pro max maintaining this phone's dignity unlike many youtubers out there who would do so while hailing SE 2020
Great video!!! I bought my SE on September red product and it's AWESOME, the Touch ID is great and with the price of the new iPhone 12 I Bought 3 SEs, one for my mom, one for my stepmom and the mine. The best two thing are the Touch ID and the latest iOS software!!
I got this phone around the time it came out. And I'm watching this video to make myself feel better about missing out on the Iphone 12 mini 😭. I have no intention of upgrading anytime soon.
Hey Malay, just curious what you miss about the SE vs the 12? Currently thinking about simplifying my phone since i use my ipad if i want to enjoy content.
@@mtunayucer yea I got it cuz of straight talk wireless at Walmart for $150 it was a deal. So I had to get it since it was so cheap. Plus it came with Apple Arcade for a month and Apple TV for a whole year.
I own an SE and my only downside to this is that the battery never lasted me through the whole day and i realized that the screen was too small for me! Im planning to buy the 12 mini but people say that it also doesnt last for a day with its battery so i will just wait for the next SE! Im at home anyways and my charger is just beside my bed! Also this phone gets damn HOT!
Love this iPhone, everyone’s complaining about the battery life, but I got almost 6 hours screen on time. 12 hours work day I still get 20% before bed.
The IPhone se 2020 looks pretty good,im on the IP7,recently switched from Android.I'm not expecting an amazing battery life of the SE,but i do want a good camera quality, software support and a great processor so i want that value for the money,as im looking for a solid phone for a reasonable price, this look good.
If you want to stay with the same design and look but a newer version buy the se it a good upgrade for the 7. If you want a bigger display and good performance buy the 12 mini if you want that
Batterylife was average overall on my iPhone SE, but on days of heavyuse using apps or streaming music I felt like the SE just couldn't keep up. Definitely not for heavy users. However, at least the SE with such a small battery capacity, the iphone SE did charge to full very quickly, even when using a Anker portable battery bank when Im at work would charge it quickly.
I just got a SE for 150 almost new ,had the battery replaced and yet to see how long it lasts,so far I took it off the charger at 99 percent and am currently at 91 and have 55 SOT so let’s see what happens
Great video man I would say my biggest issue with this phone is how ZAGG the screen protector company is starting to faze out the SE screen protectors due to the phone using such an old body style. It’s very unfortunate since I run there products on all my Apple products.
Seriously thinking of getting this soon...This phone is also being sold for only $150 on straight talk prepaid too, making it an even more amazing deal. I concur, battery life being one of two cons with me, although I made-do with an older iphone 6S before, portable chargers are cheap now, and the lack of headphone jack is also another con. Although not specific to only iphones now...after mocking them, many androids also got rid of the headphone jack and even sd card slot now. Even the cheap base 64gb storage iphone option isn't bad since extra could just be offloaded to my pc. Coming from a 3 year old LG V35 that was long ago abandoned in OS updates/support (an LG stereotype) with its share of woes and glitches and flaking out over time, not to mention a lackluster and slow shutter-time camera that always left me wanting more... LG's live photos clone was incredibly clunky to use, it involved holding your thumb left/right to pause an mp4 video at just the right moment and hope you don't tap the screen which would make the screenshot button disappear from the bottom corner, and the resulting screenshot was a low quality 720p one from the video. Even the 6 year old iphone 6S took pics instantaneously and live photos on it was a breeze to use in comparison and I never noticed degraded quality. I'd probably definitely buy a headphone jack dongle adapter though, I'm one of those still not favorable to going bluetooth headphones only. The ONLY other phone that looked enticing at first was LG's last flagship the V60, but, I've heard just one too many users talk about software and hardware issues on it to trust it (on top of the in-screen fingerprint scanner being flaky). I'm sorry but a top of the line 2020 android flagship should NOT be lagging like users say plague the V60. With that out of the picture, and LG out of the mobile market, the iphone SE is really the only thing that appeals to me as a frugal tech enthusiast. As I've gotten older I want something that just works smoothly without problems...the SE will get probably at least 5 more years of support/updates too, that a13 cpu is a beast. I really liked double tap to wake and capture+ on the LG phones, and I didn't find their android skin cluttered like some critics said, but my god their cameras always left me wanting more(got several comments over time that photos taken on the V35 looked like water oil paintings lol), had their share of software/hardware woes, and support was little to non-existent on them, but, they were good specs for the price over the years lol.
Totally agree with you except for the ear buds ! I use the apple buds with a dongle and they sound exactly the same as AirPods , perfectly acceptable , especially if you go to the effort of downloading lossless files , which leads on to the 256gb option ….for 549 you have the best music player available in my opinion !
@@harlem3195 but everything is good enough and if I buy used then I can actually say its better value than say the SE cuz of its bigger battery (the battery will be degraded but I can get it replaced for cheap) and larger and still not unmanageably large display and a camera that has been improved a lot with software advancements.
I bought the iPhone SE cause I’m cheap! LOL Though no headphone Jack doesn’t bother me as I have Airpods 2, AirPods Pro, and Sony WH-1000XM4’s for sound. I don’t care for FACE ID, so I am holding out to spend BIG MONEY on the newest iPhone that get’s built in Fingerprint reader and smaller notch. I know it may seem strange as I don’t like The HUGE BLACK BARS on the SE, but it is $300 to $400 cheaper than any of the current flagships. I however, am feeling bad about not having night mode.
In terms of a new iPhone straight from Apple, the iPhone SE is the cheapest one. However the next cheapest is the iPhone XR starting at $500 if you’re willing to make a $100 price jump. However you can look at your carrier for any deals, or try a Walmart Best Buy or whatever in person or online retailer for any deals on those iPhones or even iPhones that aren’t sold by Apple anymore for example the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 pro max or a XS/XS max.
I know Verizon is giving $1000 free credits if you switch to them and you can get basically get an iPhone 12/12 pro or any other iPhone they have, Or if u switch to them you can get the 64gb iPhone 12 mini for free
I’ve also had the phone se for almost a year and though I have had to get it replaced for free by apple due to a malfunctioning processor, I love my phone.
With the same money you can get a relatively newish Samsung flagship with more base storage, with the option to expand even more via a micro sd card, the headphone jack, better cameras, more features and overall better value: Like an S10, S10 Plus or Note 10 Plus for example.
Hardest decision I had to make was choosing between Product Red and the unique white case with the black front. (I chose Red because they were giving some of the proceeds to COVID relief.)
