You need a bag of charcoal and containers of damp rid. Set those up in there, spread charcoal around on paper plates or open containers, open windows and find a coffee pot that is a percolator. Make the coffee and those three things will get rid of and mask the odors. I used to help do those kinds of clean outs and it really helped.

OK I've just got to say that you two are my favourite couple on the net.... I live in the UK and have watched almost all your videos.... I've never seen a harder working couple and even when it's cold, miserable and dirty you both still smile and just get on with it.... A fantastic example of how you have to work hard to achieve your dreams..... Keep up the good work tucker and sammie. I like this shop. It is a neat shop. Tucker you talk about this country going in a different direction and it is. I work for The Guardians Foundation. We are a nonprofit organization that helps veterans and their families nationwide. When veterans don't have enough money to pay their bills we pay it. My job was to bring in donations for the organization. My boss wanted me to focus on companies that were defense contractors locally. Well I found that most of those contractors will take jobs from the military but they will not support military. These men and women put their lives on the line to help us be free but we can't support them when they retire. I tried to do my project, "Day of Charity " for 4 months and it ended today. I tried so hard. I have 130 companies in my phone that I cold called, emailed, mailed, reached out personally and not one will support veterans. I feel I put my whole heart into something and it failed. It failed. Just frustrated and struggling. ✌😇🌎🇺🇸

And god bless that poor person dying alone beyond heart breaking.

The worst clean out I ever did was in the 80's. I had my own janitorial service. I took a job to clean out a trailer where the guy shot himself. There was body bits every where. Even all over the ceiling. I took the job and got paid a lot. They had already checked the larger janitorial outlets in town and no one wanted the job.

If you get the job you may want to get 3M respirators that have the two twist on filters. 3M 6001 Organic Vapor Cartridges filter out decaying human body smell. (Look it up!) I use them in smelly situations and you literally don’t smell anything. If you are going to be in there all day you may want to get extra filters. Can you open the windows and use a fan to get fresh air moving through that place?

It's such a sad story. If only someone could have helped him, found him, aired out the apartment...if only. So sad but thank you for showing this to us.😥

Open the slider door and window and air it out.. Make a big difference.. Us a shovel to get the stuff up from the floor..

My little sister and I had to get my great uncle's things out of his apartment. The neighbors noticed the smell. The manager called my parents. It was one week since we saw him last. He was in his recliner watching tv with his tv dinner. All the couches, rugs, walls, curtains, clothing, bedding had that smell embedded. The smell was gagging. You will never forget it. But not as gagging as when our poodle got 3 direct shots by a skunk in our back yard....

I spent this miserable Sunday watching your videos. Just love watching You Tubers from Atlantic County like me. I used to go to Columbus Auction with a wealthy friend and what a high I got when she suggested checking out the trash cans on a hot day when the vendors started to end the day early and throw their wares in the trash cans. Those items are very special treasures to me.

when I saw the power was out in the kitchen I thought the smell could be from rotting food in the fridge. I experienced that once when we went away on vacation and came back home to a broken fridge. thought somebody died in our house. worst smell ever. The meat in the freezer liquified and the gases expanded and then expoded the packaging- I will never forget that smell

I've encountered similar estates where the person had passed away in the home and I think you may find you will have to give the furniture a really good cleaning to get rid of the smell. A decomposing human body is one of the most horrific smells around. (rotting, wet, accumulated pigeon crap is a close second, though). Pick up some OdorGone, and other cleaners that kill bad odours....dustless kitty litter will also be handy for removing the smells.

Nice Video. Back in the late 70's 😪. The place that was working for did clean outs. The house was on Caster Ave in Philly. The Woman who lived there was Challenged. You could not step on the floor stuff was everywhere. THE BATHROOM TUB AND WALLS WERE BROWN ALL OVER THE PLACE. I refused to do anything. #STAYSAFE #FREED♥️M2DREAM.

My husband is a first responder and he said vicks vaporub makes nose swabs that you can use, they will help you to not smell that particular smell. Or just putting some of the chest rub right under you nostrils can help. Also smelling coffee grounds helps to get that smell out of you nose.

That’s a shame that it was so gross like that. That furniture is mid century modern gold! I’ve seen RU-vidrs that do this type of work, but they’re wearing hazmat suits and breathing apparatuses. So sad that this person probably died alone! Glad to hear you may have won the bid.

Seeing past the tragedy there is a home full of useful content that can be sold and used again after cleaning. You have to price it high given the conditions but it could turn into a good earner for you both.

I think there’s a reason that mattress was flipped my dude!

Ive got stuck doing a couple of death clean outs over the years just because with the bonus pay and furniture it paid about four months bills. I learned right away to stuff a big glob of vicks vapo rub up each nostril and slap on a mask. And get rid of the mattress and comfy chair first. Seriously the vapo rub can save your sanity.

For the REALLY bad smelling jobs it might be in your best interest to invest in a few (2 to 4) ionizers to help clean the air! , they are so worth the money and will pay for themselves fast. Also don't forget to put vapor rub under your nose.

By law the owners of the apartments have to let you know if someone passes away in there. If they have, you will have to pay a professional to come in a clean up the biohazard waste. Body fluids from decomposition is biohazard waste. Spalding Decon is who I recommend. She is also on RU-vid. Tell her Larry sent you.

I would do the clean out for 6 grand plus they have to buy the trash Truck and hope you hire atleast two people because I have a feeling Sammie will not be good help

You can use noxeema or Vicks salve under your nose to kill the smell.

I do cleaning and organizing. I have done hoarder clean outs. That isn't that bad really. It could be so much worse. My first thought when you said there was poop on the floor was maybe an animal was left in there. I hope that is not the case.

I did a 3500 sq ft house + loaded basement- me and 1 other guy. 2 days and 4 dumpsters. No stank though, thankfully!
