Face ID is pretty amazing technology. I have been through lots of phones and different unlocking methods and the iPhone X is impressive. After you use it for a bit it is hard to disagree that it’s the best all around phone right now.

Vulpe your most likely to use your phone everyday so when you do, face id learns your face each time. lets say you dont have a mustache and you just put on a fake one, face id might not recognize you. but if you unlock your phone with face id, while your mustache is growing, then it will recognize you. puberty doesnt come over night, soo your phone will still recognize you

The reason why it worked in the dark is because a light that we cant see works in the dark and puts a million little dots on your face detecting depth that also why it didnt work for the cardboard cutout and the picture on the phone.

Randolipe - Because it requires your attention (eyes open) to work you idiot. It can be disabled to work without that feature though.

I have seen a few of these with twins (first triplets one) and it seems the younger the identicals are the more likely to unlock the device. While the older, they get the more they facially seem to drift apart

IRIS scanning isn't even as good as it. Apple haters love to make these statements but don't provide much to back it up. IRIS scanning = 2D. Face ID = 3D. Hey, ever heard of contact lenses or photos? Yeah, people make a lot of them. and they're all capable of fooling iris scanning. Why? Because it's 2D... Iris Scanning isn't as good as Face ID. It's worse. Like a lot worse.

Samsung even said that the face recognition isn't a secure way to lock your phone but a comfortable way. You can't choose face recognition as a way to enter private folder because they know that this future isn't meant for that. So I don't know how I should be offended being a samsung user.
