It a device that costs around 70$. Otherwise you can’t do by yourself, unless you connect the flex cable to your computer.

Marco Petrolo yes, you should. Also you shouldn’t put any liquid on the phone like he did. You should always use a heat gun to loosen the adhesive and use a suction cup to pull the screen up.

You could blow circuit board by not turning it off. If any chip is roasted , you are screwed. No technical person will EVER work on something without turning it OFF.

successfully took off-screen but the LCD I bought off amazon won't work and I think I also ripped off the plug that goes to the camera and the backplate was all bent up :/ it was worth a try but I think I need to get a new phone now haha

Optional, the screen should work perfectly if you set it right. The tru tone basically gives a brighter white to the screen. Without it it looks yellowish.

You can still change the screen with out the programmer it’s really only for True Tone and I don’t know about you but I wouldn’t miss it

@@Mauriciorubioarias Thanks for replying, so everything would work fine, it is only this "true tone" feature that needs a serial number? I was under the impression that you would have to "match" the screen to the phone to get it to work at all, or fingerprint reading etc.

Joe oh if it’s for fingerprint you need the original home button if it’s broken or damaged then you won’t get the fingerprint option.

No cause if you want the True Tone functionality back, you will have to get Apple to pair the display with your phone but they’ll most likely not want to and will want you to upgrade

Hello. My iphone xr lcd was damaged, i replaced it with oem original touch lcd screen i removed it from icloid locked iphone xr like new. Half of the screen does not work. THe screen on the icloud locked logic board worked 100% as new. What can i do?
