Followed this video to replace my display after buying an oled one on amazon with crap instructions. After following every step carefully I turned on the phone and It worked perfectly right away. Face ID works. However don't close it until you're sure everything works or you'll go through the opening pain again. Indeed the only pain was actually opening the phone but I was able to do It with an hair drier and a little multi tool knife. Thank you so much!
My screen fr the XS Max does not turn on so I am trying to change the screen. I bought a "pro" set of tools for electronics with over 100 parts. I got the two screws out by the charging port and got the screen off. I tried to take some of the screws out like they exhibit in youtube videos. I do not see what bits will work. Theyl do not fit in the screw head. Does anyone know exactly which bit would would work or maybe I am doing something else wrong. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
For normal XS not Max, according to ifixit you will need P2 pentalobe, Tri-point Y000 and Philips 000. If the Max model is different I dont know, google is there for you.
