It's not about 3-4 indians being allowed to retain but the prices at which they will be retained..eg . If they retain Hardik at 16, Bumrah at 12 , Surya will have to agree to only get 10 or less and rohit will not want to be retained for 8 .. similar headaches for all teams

Only 5 players can be retained, not more than 4 indians or else not more than 2 overseas players. Teams should be allowed to pick 6 Players, if they are willing to retain one of their indian uncapped player. So it will be 4+1+1 or 3+2+1

Both team and player should get benefitted and also it's not fair to build the team every 3 years from the scratch since most of the teams win the trophy in the auction table itself like CSK MI But at the same time it should not be monopoly like football leagues where the same 2 or 3 teams will win the trophy every year So my opinion is every five years they should conduct an auction with 3 Indians and 2 foreign players with 3 retention & 2 rtm or 4 retention & 1 rtm or 2 retention & 3 rtm So that every team will come up with good strategy since if they miss now for next 5 years there wouldn't be any mega auction

Team can retain up to "5 Markee Players" - 15, 12, 10, 8, 6 Crore brackets and also they can retain upto 2 Uncapped Indian Players- 4Cr for both (these two players will not be included in those five markee list ). The combination of markee player retention should be 3 Max - Indians , 2 Max - Foreigner. If any of the team is not interested to retain 5 Markee player, then based up on that number of unretained slot the RTM Card should be provided. For Eg - PBKS is going to retain (Markee - Sam Curran 10cr, Arshdeep 8cr, Jitesh 6cr) (Uncapped - Prabhsimran 4cr) - Then they will be left with 1 Indian RTM Card and 1 Foreign RTM Card.
