I always loved Bruce Lee growing up, but this show made me look into boxing. I joined my towns gym where I've met my best friend and his family including his older brother who is a amateur pro on a 3 win streak. When my buddy asked why I joined, I showed him ippo vs sendo Nuff said
Anime like Hajime no Ippo and Slamdunk really depict a real side of Boxing and sports in generall. It's not always just about winning belts or beating the other guys. They showed how the character deals with the training, the injuries, the defeats, the self-doubt, the diet ..... you name it. That's Why they are so Amazing.
I remember I was doing a run and I was losing steam, almost about to start walking again. But then this song came on, and I ran hard the last 3 or so miles I had left lmao. It was the craziest boost of adrenaline I think I've ever gotten.
Coming back to this to express my gratitude toward this anime that motivated me when I was feeling so lazy about everything especially working out again
(sorry if my english is bad but i hope to get my point across) Yeah might sound corny but this anime changed my life. I feel like ive gained purpose in life and im not just living just to be able to wake up the next day and go to school/work and repeat for the rest of my life. through ippo ive realised that a life devoid of purpose is a meaningless life; a life not worth living. Most people go by their day worrying about bills to pay and stresses like that but have you ever stopped to think about why you are truly doing this? Have you ever questioned what you live your life for? Why youve been eating, sleeping and wasting away your life? do you have purpose? Me personally i came to the conclusion that we live for happiness. I think its human nature for someone to strive for happiness. I believe its an instinct that living beings have and what we were created with. to sleep, to eat, and to go to work/ school is to avoid happiness, essentially the same as achieving happiness. after some deep thought i came to the conclusion that God had created us this way. Theres no way humans could have evolved to want happiness. its too abstract of a thought. On top of this, When God is added into the equation of the meaning of life, everything becomes clear. The world we live in is full of hardships and is utterly devoid of happiness simply because this world is not made for happiness. this world is finite and feeble. nothing materialistic in this world will last forever. You will lose it all. All happiness is matched with sadness. There is no true happiness in this world. Death will come. However there is hope. God is kind. God has reserved a place of true happiness. Eternal Hapiness. Anything you crave is within your grasp. There is no stress. No sadness. No anger. No anxiety. No depression. There are no hardships. Negative emotions no longer exist. It is a place of eternal joy. This ,reader, is what life is meant for. Life in this world is to attain greater life in the next. Doesnt it make sense? To sacrifice this feeble and cruel world in exchange for the wonder of the next? Its common sense. And the only way to achieve this is to worship God alone. More specifcally to worship Allah alone. That is the meaning of life. Again sorry for bad english
Bro! I just finished the Sawamura vs. Mashiba fight. Shit is so 𝐇𝐘𝐏𝐄 I've probably lost a year from my lifespan for every chapter I read from that. Everything from the buildup to the early rounds to the slugfest to the conclusion to the aftermath. I had already known beforehand what kind of a battle it was going to be, and I already expected to enjoy it, but even then it surpassed my expectations in every sense. Definitely my number 1 favorite so far. Idk why I'm typing this here, I just have too much adrenaline going I guess xd
The story of Sawamura is one of the intreasting sub stories of hajime no ippo, before the match with Ipoo Sawamura was haded into a very dark place, and ippo literally saved him in this battle. Afterwards Sawamura actually became intreasted in boxing and even looked up to ippo. unfortently he got into a bike accident, but despite that he still loves boxing and decided to become a trainer.
@@MulettoMotorsports nope, after the fight with mashiba, sawamura was able to get up on his own and went home on a motorcycle, but he was hit by a truck. He has suffered injures due to which he can no longer box.
@@Nothingness687 He no longer boxses, but afterwards he mellowed down a little bit and decided to become a trainer. his story arc is amazing, ippo literalliy changed his life for the better, before the battle with Ippo Sawamura was a mass killer in the making and he started to develop psyhopetic/sociophatic tendancies, but after losing to ippo he changed. Similar happed to mashibe, whom in his latest battle in the manga SPOILERS.............................................................................. admited that he respects ippo and that he is a great man, doring the battle he even asked himself how would ippo fight in his situation. Ippo doesn't understand how many lives he influnced with his boxing.
@@v0idthrashtilldeath127 Mashiba last fight was amazing, he finally is growing as a person, because he finally realizes that in order to reach the top, one cannot do it by himself.
You know an AMV is good if it can invoke tears in the corners of your eyes. Simply because it's epic, and people not watching/reading HNI is just missing out! xD
Ippo's fight with Sawamura is still the fight where Ippo took so much damage. Left Counter, Right Counter Thunderbolt, Bullet Jab, Elbow to the Spine, Ippo's Muscle tear on both legs, muscle tear on lower back, loose abdominal muscle, loose facial muscles. Jeez Ippo could've died on that fight.
Not surprised he got punch drunk, he spent several days in the hospital after the fight with Vorg. He was very badly beaten in both fights with Sendo. Lost to Date. And this beating against Sawamura. Poor guy.
This ost is something else. And this fight is one of my favorites. Fighting evil and defiance with dedication and not alone but with others' strength too.
As a kid my dream was to become a great boxer. I trained days and nights destroying my body in the process but never giving up. At school, at my home and days where i spent my "vacations" you name it i trained what seemed to be endless jabs, hooks dodging, weaving, blocks. It wasn't till my dreams were put to a halt cause of selfishness. I fucked my life up and wasting 3 years of my life and all my training was for nothing. I've come back to declare that I will become the great boxer i had been dreaming to become. Watch me.
Thanks to Ippo I learned that I must never lower my arms, I must find a way to pass the wall in front of me. no matter how hard it is, i must try thank you Hajime no Ippo🥊
I always comeback every week to watch this video for inspiration. This anime truly inspired me to learn box and now that I'm training I always think I how much this anime have teach me
Wow, good work on the editing. I actually sat and watched the whole thing and it managed to convey the entire episode's fight very well with nice sync and timing to the song. Commendable effort, well done!
Lyrics: Rain's falling down and just darkens the ground A sound that I've heard before but I'm not sure You keep me away from the place where you've been But now I remember why you stay away from there When you're falling to the ground What do you see? Your pride is going down with reality You may try to stand up But you'll realize your dreams are gone The weight of my pride Do I really need that? The weight of my pride Do I really need that? You say we've talked before, I don't remember that The weight of my pride has destroyed me again But tell me how does it feel when you tell a lie So tell me who's insane is it me or is it you? When you're falling to the ground What do you see? Your pride is going down with reality You may try to stand up But you'll realize your dreams are gone I know maybe I'm breaking down But it's real man, this is another part of me Forget that, everything you want me to say Just leave me alone don't trust me for now You say I'm crazy but you're already fucked up Face up to yourself but you can't cuz you're a liar Only thing you do is to run away from your truth Big mouth, get your ass out of my town bitch Rain's falling down and just darkens the ground A sound that I've heard before but I'm not sure You keep me away from the place where you've been I tried to remember the place Is that in my mind? Is that in my mind? When you're falling to the ground What do you see? Your pride is going down with reality You may try to stand up But you'll realize your dreams are gone There is something that I miss in my life There's nothing left to save that's inside of me I might try to understand Then I'll figure out my dreams are here My dreams are here My dreams are here (yeah)
Just listening in the background, and so interested in the music that I decided to watch, thanks to the author of the video for introducing this anime =)
3:32 is one of many reasons as to why I love Hajime no Ippo He took so much damage through a counter that dangerous, his coach wanted to throw in the towel, his friends thought it was over, but he left everyone in awe by gritting his teeth and taking a step forward
And part of the reason he is Spoiler: Retired and had everyone scared that he was punch drunk. He took so much damage that most should and would have thrown in the towel. Honestly we're lucky he didn't wind up like shigeta and stuck with punch eye, at the very least.
@@stev1c1 I just recently finished it. I'm hoping he comes back to the ring soon. With how he is my dude is gonna be broken as fuck. He can actually like defend himself now and not get slapped in the face repeatedly.
it was cause his body remembered the counter from volg so he was still able to remain conscious plus he has the best durability in the series cuz of his lower body strength and strength he inherited from being in a fishing boat business and also kamogawa's training regime of making his legs more spring like to reduce the damage taken.
I recently finished watching Rising, finally and I really liked it In fact a top ten fights of 2013 and it was this fight that peaked my interest in starting the anime years ago. I got my dad into it and he finished watching all of it before I did lol. I have a loose idea of what happens in the manga, I'm not sure how I feel about the insane in chapters length and the fact our titular protagonist quits boxing. So I wanna ask you as a fan what do you think?
@@alexanwhat it's hell of a ride easily best manga for me you wanna use some ost while watching the manga cz the drawings are insane and when you reach chapters 1205 1206 put hajime no Ippo 1st ending for maximum tears 😢
I'm still hestitating between either boxing or taekwondo, both look so fun to do. I love Sawamura's style so much, that second fist just waits. How does one even come up with such tactics lol. Like floyd's defense stance 1:15 - 1:50 this is my favorite part of the match I just love that 1:58 - 2:07 again
r.i.p. Kei Goto (Singer of this song). I read this fight in the manga while listening to this and a few of his songs back in 2012. My jaw hit the floor when this was the song used.
Si bro recordando este grandioso anime porque digo recordando si nunca lo he olvidado ya lo vi enterito 1 vez pero definitivamente lo tengo que ver entero de nuevo
