India is saying if Pakistan considers jihadi terror as OK, India also doesn’t consider anything holy in IWT. The ball is in Pakistan’s court. They have to decide and come to terms with a big India which won’t allow Pakistan to engage in jihad at no cost. I don’t think that is fair right?
India is taking the right steps well within her rights in the Indus Water Treaty i.e. Stopping totally the waters of River Ravi by constructing Shahpur Kandi Dam and dams on Ravi’s tributaries like River Ujhh and River Basantar . Construction of maximum number of hydro electricity dams / navigational facilities on Rivers Chenab , Jhelum and Indus and also utilising fully ,for irrigation-al / drinking water purposes, India’s small share in these rivers.
When POK is not an integral part of Pakistan as one of its province than how it can enter a treaty relating to POK. There is a independent govt on POK. Therefore treaty is null and void in itself

The problem that we are facing is that our most of the projects are struck everytime u find one and other way to halt our project thats why indian govt is interested in renegotiating it and one more thing this treaty is favouring pak

However, as regards environmental flows in three rivers where water is stopped by India as per IWT, it may require a review may be a separate treaty as an addendum to existing IWT. This could be examined by the experts associated in execution of IWT.
When Pak can break Shimla accord, why expect India to honour Indus Water treaty ? Moreover, why expect BCCI to send team for Asia cup, when Pak gov ended trade, denies airspace to Srinagar flights, continue to protect Mumbai attackers

If a party is violating the treaty, other party can walk out from it. Pakistan has been violating Indus water treaty with impunity. Pskistan has been getting more water from the indus river system than is allowed in the treaty. Pakistan is not allowing India to use its share of water Whenever India tries to build run of the river installations, Pakistan adopts delaying tactics and the construction get halted for many years. In view of Pakistani intransigence, which tantamounts to violation of the Indus water treaty, India can walk out from the treaty today if India wants.

Dear Anchor Please ask Pak army to completely withdraw from Pak occupied Kashmir as per the sequential points of UN resolution. Please study the UN resolution as a member of policy research institute before commenting. In any case UN resolution is nullified and abrogated after Simla agreement between the two countries
