Just a video of this weeks test and tune. Kart is a JC senior chassis with an iame Leopard RL 125cc 2 stroke. Will be doing another video next weekend for the first race day of the year!
That's sick mate 👍 I run at that track to I run a 4 stroke in juniors I haven't raced for a year tho because my old kart is screwed but I just got a new kart and I'm ready to go racing also I've seen you there
Hi, interesting to see you guys running slicks... we also run slicks at our kart circuit in New Zealand. We run on a hard pack clay surface which gives us an extreme amount of grip in the cooler months. Awesome track and set up you all have, look forward to seeing more of your videos. Cheers Hamish
A change in tyres to some dirt ones would make a hell of a difference, if the rl is kept in its power curve they are competitive with the x30, cheap fun engine.
You’re definitely right, unfortunately we’re not allowed to use dirt tyres at that track though; makes it quite interesting when you’re spinning wheels for more than half of the straight😂
Takes the fun out of it, momentum is huge when it comes to racing on dirt, the 2 most common places to pass are the corner leading into the straight, and the corner at the end of the straight, well where I live it is anyway, traction on the straight is huge.
