It follows the story of a young boy who aspires to become like his coeval seekers of knowledge. But the burden that he carries on his shoulders is different than that of his friends.
Iqra is the title of the film. On a surface level it is the first word of Quran revealed to Islamic Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) which means read/recite but here symbolizes a tool through which one polishes his intellect, a seed which grows a humongous tree of knowledge and wisdom giving shadow to one's way of life.
