Anyone else just loving this car? I haven't had this much fun in official races, well, ever. Part of it is just how fun and intuitive the car is, but the races are also surprisingly clean. I've had quite a few excellent side-by-side battles so far. Also, great job on the track guide! I like that you split it up by corner, and the two views are great for seeing where the car is exactly while also seeing what it looks like from the cockpit. I hope you'll keep doing them. Brilliant track guide! Helped me a lot at donington last week and will help again this week. Only just coming from the MX-5s to these it’s fun but definitely challenging!

Cracking lap there, man. I'm loving this track car combo. You mentioned in a comment to me last week about using throttle to shift weight to the rear and it's kind of helped the car click for me this week. I'm yet to spin at turn 3 or 6 in a race! Still work to do but I think I can break into the 32s this week. Thanks as always for the vid.

Thank you for consistently putting out these lap guides and helping grow participation in this car. You should run a few TT sessions in this car, they're a lot of fun and always good to have more fast guys competing.

I was going down to 2 gear in turn 1 hahahaha. I know this track quite well from other games, but iRacing is another level, so my best lap in the first practice was 1.35 high =(. I hope to get 1.33 after this video. Thanks for posting.

Nice work with a 35! And this seasons track seems a little slower. I was seeing low 32s in by some 7k guy! I'm mid 33s at the moment - let me know how you get along

Tony… do you think the IR04 is better suited for big tracks like this, or smaller ones like Lime Rock? I was excited for the week at Spa, but I struggled there.

It feels more at home on 'medium' speed tracks to me, Brands Hatch, Barber, Donington etc. These big long straight tracks feel a little bit lethargic in it at times. The cornering speed is really fun on more traditional tracks.

Yeah the bigger tracks I find better, lime Rock would have been great if it didn't have that chicane going up hill! That is what hurt it! Spa it's always difficult with the long straights, you can't run away and it makes people go for moves because they are lifting off throttle in the slipstream. As TJ Simracing the medium length and speed (brands, donny, redbull, even Snetterton) are a little better suited!

we all start from somewhere! just focus on T1, get a good exit and you will carry that speed all the way down that huge straight! if i got a bad exit i was loosing 0.5-0.8 of a second!

@@Tdi99 33.1 now i feel like 32.5 is possible for me. I understand that 31.5 is possible though if you set a perfect lap.

Nice work!! This is what it's all about just getting 1 turn right at a time. Next is to get a good exit out of T3! And then the last corner. These are the 3 corners that are most important as they lead onto the straights! 👍👍
