Sanandaj becomes the capital of Kurdistan province and the most important Kurdish city in Iran. The city is surrounded by hills that are the continuation of Zagros mountains. Therefore, Sanandaj is known as the city of a thousand hills. Most of the city's streets and alleys are winding and steep, and its traditional texture remains intact. The natural attractions due to the location of this city in the mountainous region, the monuments of the city which are a reminder of different historical periods, and the culture of the people whose hospitality and kindness are their distinctive features, along with the pleasant and moderate weather, make travel to Sanandaj prosperous in the first half.
