I know that the US and Iranian governments have serious grievances against each other and I won't try and deny that - but seeing this affirms my belief that all people - regardless of their race, religion, or culture - are fundamentally the same and I can't wait for the day when we're in harmony with each other. Much love from the US
yeah people from iran are really respectful i know alot of iranian people we look out for each other we drink and talk with each other tho we may have different religions and are from different races n countries we put that to the side and understand we are all human beings they see me as a brother as i see them as my brother as well rather anyone likes it or not i got their back they will always be my brothers
Iran is a very underrated country. The western media makes it looks like a hell, but the reality is that Iran is a beautiful country with a rich and amazing culture!
Iran is the most culturally sophisticated rich and beautiful country on this planet. Iranians beautiful smart and generous. love from Canada and Africa.
Think it as Iran, a beautiful country with an amazing ancient civilization. Not just sunni or shia. Hope someday will visit and enjoy this exotic land.
I can here after reading Tom Friedman’s piece in the nytimes, mentioning that Iranians are inheritors of a great culture and that wherever Iranians go they become writers, doctors, lawyers, engineers. All of this is evident from this documentary. Incredible. Love from Pakistan and America.
Iran/Persia is a country with long history and tested cultures. Iranians will integrate with the world in their very own way. Iranians are proud to be born and grow in dependable culture. Iranian culture is human-friendly and nature-friendly. Iranians will set the trend for the world.
Hedieh Saraee If pure for the life in Iran and the Persian people i would visit. Just affraid that i act in a way that can get my into trouble in your country because i dont know the rules/ laws. That being said. You can be proud of your country
rithwik singh have you ever been to Saudi Arabia? Just like Iran, you can’t judge it by the media. You either visit Saudi Arabia or keep your mouth shut.
why are you always 'lifting the veil' or 'looking under the veil' or 'unveiling iran'. why can't you just stop touching or minding women's clothes? why the obsession?
Claxiux Exactly. In all honesty as an Iranian Canadian in Vancouver, whenever I visit Iran I cant help but notice that Iranian women embrace and do not feel oppressed by the Hijab. Also when you see these videos keep in mind that these people are taking into consideration that they are being filmed. Otherwise, in 99% of women aren’t actually that strict with their Hijabs
@@arshiasoleimany4509 stop lying. There are at least 30 women in Iran because of that horrible piece of trash you call veil. Women in Iran are NOT okay with it. It's a fckin restriction. They want the freedom to wear or not wear it. Today they cannot chose.
Persian King Cyrus the Great was probably the greatest king ever to rule.. His tolerance put him far ahead of Alexander the Great concerning character.. Cyrus the Great was the only non Jew the Israelites ever called a messiah because he freed them from Babylon, restored them to Jerusalem and let them rebuild their Temple. He was revered for letting defeated countries retain their cultures and practices If only world leaders today would strive to model their characters after that of King of Persia Cyrus the Great, what a much better world we would have.
Well, technically some people do want wars - not just one war, but many. I mean, lots of people want that... weapons dealers, their stock owners, big institutions, organized religions, racist people on both sides .... lol the list just goes on. The national security state? Edit: oh and I suppose the odd billionaire or royal who's molesting children; it's not just for popes ya know! 😃😃😃
No dude, but most women in Iran wear the chador and rousari, nothing wrong with that. Im not even muslim but I have no problem with people wanting to be modest and morally upright. The chador itself along with the burka have Zoroastrian origins and arent even islamic in reality. I dont think these things should be forced or mandatory but it should definitely be encouraged.
The headscarf (commonly referred to as the "Rousari") is the most basic form of "Hijab" (If you would even call it that). My problem is with them using the term "Veil", Not once in my 8 years in Iran (I still go back and forth annually) i have never seen a single person wearing the so called "Veil".
+Persepolis I agree, mandatory hijab is a problem, but what I meant to say was that we shouldnt discourage modesty in terms of how you should dress and carry yourself. burka comes from the Persian word Pardah/Pardeh, the muslims adopted it from the Zoroastrians when they came into contact with them. It was actually the opposite, in Sassanid and Achaemenid Persia noble women would wear the burka, not even chador, but the full on burka with the face covering and all to protect themselves or supposedly their honor from the public eye, while prositutes were forbidden to wear it.
+Darius Ashkani Nope, the statistics have been proved to be misleading and wrong since the definition of rape is different in western countries, the reporting of rape is much higher in western countries and the governments don´t try to cover it up so much.
Raul Pinto those are just theories and myths. Theres no proof that rape on average occurs more in the mideast, out of all places Iran compared to the west.
as an Iranian i do not like to see my country get westernized at all. we have been there before and it's a wrong thing to make a mistake twice and i'm beginning to feel like this New President has untold Plans for Iran . today we have a lot to fear for . we love to have peace with all the world and open doors to all but we have dealt with the West before and we do not have a history of honesty in diplomacy from the west and of course Russians in the past . here i would like to let all the other people from the west know that if we sense there are plots going on again , if we reject west again it does not mean we have any hostility towards the people . Iran will not compromise when it comes to some values and codes we live by and i hope the Meetings that are taking place behind closed doors are what they are supposed to be . i am an Electric Guitar player and i played in bands for 10 years so i am nothing religious or revolutionary but i know what we have achieved in the past 35 years and what we have failed to and i would not want to see my country become what it should not be .even if it means i can never play Heavy metal music on the Stage . Peace and love from Iran .
Amisen KMM that's right man . it is Enslavement in mind which of course has enslaved Western people first . i have American Friends actually confessing they are Hypnotized and one of them from Texas has sold Her house and is trying to come to Iran with her 2 Grown up daughters to live here . she says America is not a normal country and is very untrustworthy . she is very Scared of living there . they believe their government is going to take over the country militarily by announcing Martial law. and Fema Camps and ...
Arzhang Emamifar, No country is normal. Every country has its goods and bads. And no, our country government will not take over our own country with martial law... we have checks and balances in place within our government to ensure that that does not happen. As well as many militia who would work to stop that from happening. In the meantime.. let's appreciate the differences that make both our countries unique.
I like all these reporters to also go and visit other prominent cities in Iran like Esfahan, Tabriz , and also north of Iran , the beautiful Mazandaran and Gilan so the viewers will get a taste of different cultures and do not think that Iran is only the Tehran
To introduce us to Tehran, we asked Ramin Sayyed Emami to show us around. A dude who came back to live in Tehran just a few years ago and is essentially a tourist himself =))) and he moved back to the west again after his father "committed suicide" (suspiciously) in prison. Western media goes so far out of their way not to give the common Iranian a voice.
Why all Iranians left your oldest religious civilization culture. Persians are very good people. Some Persians are living in India. He did not change his religion under the pressure of Muslim ruler and went to India to save his family and his religion.
+pouya yarizadeh no veil is some made up sh*t that belongs in the past not now so it's not part of the religion and even if it was, most people don't give a f*ck about islam or are not muslim in Iran these days
+Helene Millar You are right, I'm an Iranian and the government is the cause of backwardness in Iran. if this sh*t government wasn't there, Iran would have been far better and progressed. But some Iranians because of their arrogant pride always want say Iranians are this and that no matter what.
This was a nice documentary. Kind of different from others (it was getting boring as most film makers mostly focused on food and historical monuments). where is the part 2? I can't find it.
007VitaminD Did I say they should be? The hair on your head is not your genitals. Other than that I don't think women should be shamed for exposing their breasts, if men can do it, woman should to.
WarriorOfWriters Wrong, their definition of modesty is different than yours. Breasts are sexual for them, but not for you. Don't hate them just for having a different definition.
007VitaminD I'm not hating them, I love Iranians, but the modesty they live under now was forced on them after the 1979 revolution. Before then they could be immodest and fashionable. I'm not saying it was the best scenario, the government had problems but thanks to the Ayatollah the revolution because Islamic and now they are the Islamic Republic of Iran. Modesty is forced on them in accord with scripture, nothing else. And scripture is a lousy way to govern a country.
IRAN IS WONDERFUL, A VERY OLD CULTURE and, I believe, can manage the greatest ROGUE STATE on our planet. In 1943 a few "top" US men met and decided: We want to rule all countries.Between 1945 and 2015 the USA is responsible , actively or inactively, for TEN TO THIRTEEN DEAD PEOPLE!!!!
Iran is not Middle East , it’s in Asia ,while Iraq turkey Emirates Tatar Kuwait Saudi Arabia Bahrain Oman Lebanon Syria Jordan = Middle East . I think westerns need to study geography maps again.
You definitely don’t need to be worried about a host, you just show up and everyone wants to be your host , feed you, pay for your ride, give you a shelter for free and other stuff. Personally 4 years since my last visit which is really sad and I missed every single thing about Iran except streets and cars and drivers:)) mate just go there and enjoy the food and culture.
An absolute paradise having no equals anywhere A great n ancient culture, music, cinema, sports Unexplored land n locales to be discovered Great food n beautiful language(its Farsi n not Arabic) Hope soon to discover Iran Stay blessed my friends
How many iranians want to revert (home coming) to Judaism? Persians a very small community in India is a highly successful business community namely Tata, Godrej etc. They are very respected community too. We love them.
Iran has every thing enchanting to draw concentration of the world... They r patriot and valour race all the above whatever they do, do on their own vims and wishes. they r neither subject to take advice from ors. nor ready to bow before worldly powerful country...long live Iran.
Love you Iran from Pakistan I m KAZMI SYED born in Pakistan and my ancestors from Parent side migrated many 4 centuries ago from Iran to Subcontinent ........... I shall visit Iran and Iraq one day to see Roza of Imams
Iran is really nice, I wish the worlds major powers like France Germany Russia China etc. didn't revolve around whatever the US says and have more open relations with Iran .
On a western Med cruise on the NCL Jade in 2010,my 3 older sons hung out with 3 Iranians for the first couple days of the cruise....We did not know where they were from,We asked them!!They replied Iran,my sons /the wife/and I turned and all looked at them at the same time..Oh we have 7 sons ,5 in were born in the 90s and the twins in 2008.The young Iranian, smiled and said Iranians love America, the cloths/the movies/the freedom/the people....He said the Iranian government is the one that dont like America!!! :)
The Islamic Republic of Iran continues to work toward nuclear weapons. If the government would dedicate its resources to the well-being of Iranians rather than nuclear weapons and proxy terrorist wars, their country and culture would be much better off.
Rick Steve's actually dug into the culture, this did not, but still found a way to throw in the negative propaganda cheapshots. amazing. It's on us "The People" to break down the barriers between cultures.
