Masoud Pezeshkian, the reformist nominee, defeated Saeed Jalili, the hardline conservative, to become the new president of Iran. Mr. Pezeshkian received 16.3 million of the 30 million votes cast on Friday, while Mr. Jalili received 13.5 million. The country's interior ministry declared Mr. Pezeshkian the winner on Saturday.
