Iran's supreme leader has hinted that Iran's revenge attack on Israel on April 14 may have caused little damage. His statement came at a meeting attended by Iran's IRGC, Army and Police on April 21. It also comes a week after IDF said that 99% of Iran's over 350 drones and missiles were intercepted during its attack with the help of allies. Ayatollah Ali Khamenei underscored that “the main issue is the emergence of the willpower of the Iranian nation and the armed forces in the international arena.” Watch.

There was no hint that operation True Promise caused little damage. In fact there was some serious damage particularly on the Shelakhim base on mount Hebron (جبل الشیخ) in Golan Heights that they are hiding.

Now Iran knows the locations of Israel's defence . That was what the drones were for , not to destroy . The Hrpersonic missiles were the ones that were meant to evade the iron dome & strike it's targets . All Iran's hypersonic missiles got through , 5 destroyed the Nevatim Airbase , The one they used to carry out their cowardly attack on the Consulate . The base had an airport with 3 runways & housed F-35 jets . The Ramona airbase was also targetted with successul strikes .

The point of the response was not to cause casualties but prove to Israel that their defenses were not impenetrable if Iran truly decided to do so....and they succeeded in that because some of the missiles did get through and hit specific military targets such as Nevatim Air Base where the F-35's took off from that attacked Iran's embassy in Damascus. What Israel did not acknowledge was that there were far more targets hit than were discussed in the media. There was an IDF command and control center in Tel Aviv hit, and another in the Golan Heights. Deterrence doesn't require the killing of civilians, it only requires that you make your enemy understand that you can hit them and damage their power if you choose to do so. Israel's indiscriminate killing of civilians is costing them public support globally. Iran wisely chose not to repeat Israel's error.
