No air defence is impermeable. Air defence works through the principle of attrition. If an air defence can inflict a sustained ten percent loss rate on an attacking force, this ruinous rate of attrition will force the attackers to abandon their air offensive. When it comes to ballistic missiles, however, this principle does not apply because, unlike manned platforms, they are relatively cheap and easy to replace. A mass missile attack can overwhelm even the most robust air defence. Unlike a traditional attack using manned bombers, missile defence has to be one hundred percent effective to work. If the Iranians can launch thousands of missiles, the Iron Dome, David’s Sling, and Patriot systems will be depleted in short order. If this scenario comes to pass, the Israelis in the long run will be rendered defenceless.

Major General GD Bakshi is a Gem just like all the other Patriots who defended Bharat. My own Relatives who were in the Army and the Airforce fought Wars after 1947 including the one in 1971. Someone said that “An eye for an eye makes everyone blind.” Any retaliation by Israel has similar retaliatory options for Iran. An attack on Iranian petrochemical complexes will result in retaliation on Israeli petrochemical complexes such as Israel’s refineries and gas fields. An attack on nuclear facilities in Iran will result in a counterattack on Dimona. Iran has also said that Israeli infrastructure is on the cards for further retaliation. So,any retaliation by Israel has potential to spiral into an uncontrolled escalation and result in the destruction of both Israeli and Iranian economies, while killing a lot of citizens on both sides. Is this what the Israelis want? Or, will cooler heads prevail?

Here is what I see wrong with this discussion, -calling Israel Air Force as strongest because they bombing Hamas and Hezbollah which don’t have an air force. - killing thousands of defenseless civilians as a sign of strength, both Hamas and Hezbollah still are fully operational. - To claim that since you killed their leaders the resistance is done failing to realize these organizations are used to their leaders get assassinated routinely and have planned for it . - To claim Nasrallah’s assassination was some kind of amazing intelligence operation when in fact it was a dastardly operation as Netanyahu signaled he was ready for a peace agreement and asked Hezbollah to finalize it and then waited for all their leaders to gather before bombing it. - Iran retaliated because they found out there is no negotiating with Israel.

The reality of it is that Israel does not need to depend on the u s to refuel attack missions to iran. The israelis have six seven oh seven refueling airplanes capable of doing the job. That is enough for 2 full strike forces.
