Saddam & his sons were a big threat to the US & Israel. After Saddam was defeated in Kuwait so humiliatingly with huge casualties by the US military shelling Saddam's military, Saddam had become too vindictive & wanted to harm the US & Israel. So, the US had to invade Iraq to get rid of Saddam. Saddam was building WMDs, including nukes, & using the chemical weapons he had bought from Germany & the US he wanted to invade Israel. Saddam was a US puppet who had gone bad & against his own American bosses. So the US had to invade Iraq to get rid of their own puppet, Saddam. What happened after the invasion was the fault was the Saudi Alquaeda terrorists who had invaded Iraq to car bom Shias because the Sunnis didn't want the Iraqi Shias to be in power(Sunnis didn't want the shias in iraq to have any powerful positio & the entire iraq again to be ruled by Arab sunnis, not even Kurdush Sunnis. And because of all the wars the Sunnis & Wahabbis started in Iraq against Shias, everything was destroyed & went down south, & the country hasn't yet recovered.

The US is pretty good at ruining entire countries.

Neither the US or UK recognices the ICC, that's the problem. Add that the UN cleared both the bombing of " jugoslavia" , Afghanistan etc. Who has the most power in the UN, it's allways about overpowering/ threathening others to comply.
