One piece of good advice if you are coming to visit, fly into Shannon Airport and you will be ideally located for travelling. Lots of people fly into Dublin and realise they have made a mistake with crazy high hotel prices and miles away from these and other gems, but do visit it's a beautiful part of the world ☘️🇮🇪☘️
Thank you for your comment and the helpful advice for travelers coming to visit Ireland. Flying into Shannon Airport is indeed a great option, as it provides easy access to many of the country's most beautiful destinations. We appreciate your insights and hope that it helps other viewers plan their trip more efficiently.
It really depends what parts of Ireland they want to see. People coming to visit Ireland need to plan where they want to visit because you could be here a month a still not see it all.❤ 🇮🇪
@@pyndtvI lived in Dublin for most of the 70’s. I loved the beauty of its Georgian and Victorian architecture, Stephen’s green, the ancient treasures and manuscripts, the fantastic music. During my years there, I saw most of Ireland except the North because it was during the Troubles. All of Ireland is beautiful but Dublin will always be the home of my heart.
Thank you for your comment and for sharing that you've been to all five of the places featured in the video. That's fantastic! And We completely agree that there are many more beautiful towns and destinations throughout Ireland, making it a truly special and magical place to visit.
I've been to a fare share of countries over the years but Ireland remains my favorite. I've enjoyed all the other countries but there is a certain magic about this country that separates it from the others. One beautiful locale after the next with a great vibe to go along with the cheery nature of the people. Once again, I've met fine people in all countries but no one is more welcoming to a stranger than the Irish.
Absolutely agree! Ireland's enchanting landscapes and welcoming people create an unmatched magic. It's fantastic to hear it's your favorite destination!
Thank you for sharing that your mother was from Kenmare and for your kind words about the town. Kenmare truly is a beautiful place and has a special place in the hearts of many.
I've been to Doolin, Kenmare, and Kinsale. I especially loved Kenmare and the stone circle. I was also impressed with the Derreenataggart stone circle on the Beara Peninsula. Ptooey on Stonehenge.
I sent this link to a friend in California. As it happens, I live in the south of France. It would be lovely if she would fly over and meet me in one of these villages then on to a few more before returning to France with me on her next visit. We enjoy Barcelona but it is time to try somewhere else... We both like walking, art, writing, live music, and poetry. Thank you for this enticing podcast.
We are glad to hear that you found the video enticing and that you shared it with your friend in California! Ireland's beautiful villages are certainly worth exploring, and it sounds like you and your friend would enjoy the walking, art, writing, live music, and poetry that these destinations have to offer. We hope that you both have the opportunity to visit soon and create some wonderful memories together!
You would be very welcome here, Doolin is my favourite for Irish music nights in the pubs, Kinsale for its history.. do a walking tour, most tourist don’t have any clue as to our history. Adare has serious traffic issues but is lovely. Don’t overplan and try to fit in too much, we have a tendency to engage with everyone and if your on a very strict schedule you will miss out on the craic in the pubs and general banter ☘️🎶
With all the things you like you will be in heaven. It does not make what county you visit because they are all bueatiful in their own right.goggle and study and plan what you want to visit ❤🇮🇪
Absolutely, you're right! Beauty is indeed subjective and everyone has their own unique preferences. Ireland is blessed with a diverse range of stunning places to explore. Thank you for your perspective!
Thank you for your wonderful comment! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed this video. Your positive feedback means a lot to us. Thank you for watching and happy travels!
Thank you for your comment! We are glad you found all the places featured in the video beautiful. Ireland is truly a stunning country with so much to offer travelers.
That's wonderful to hear! Adare is indeed a beautiful place with its charming village atmosphere and picturesque scenery. Thank you for sharing your comment with us!
I couldn't agree more! These flower villages are truly breathtaking and it's easy to see why you would want to live there. The vibrant colors and charming atmosphere create a unique and picturesque setting that's hard to resist. Thank you for your comment!
Thank you for your comment and for sharing your personal connection to Adare. Staying in a thatched cottage sounds like a wonderful experience, and it's always special to have a personal connection to a place you visit.
Recently went to Adare as I’d read that it was one of the most beautiful villages in Ireland , but what no-one seems to mention is that it’s on a very busy road, and despite it being pretty, the traffic going through it spoils everything about it. We gave up looking at the village and did the riverside walk, the high point of which was the old Adare railway station, which still has the tracks in place. If it ever gets a bypass, it may be worth another visit.
Thank you for your comment and for sharing your experience visiting Adare. We're sorry to hear that the traffic in the village detracted from your enjoyment of its beauty. We appreciate your feedback and hope that the village will eventually receive a bypass to make it more enjoyable for visitors. We're glad to hear that you enjoyed the riverside walk and the old railway station, and hope that you'll have the opportunity to visit again in the future.
The Limerick/Cork motorway is currently being extended and the plans include a bypass for Adare village. This means the village will have a lot less passing traffic in the future.
Thank you for your comment and for sharing your experience in Kinsale! A walking food tour with Suzanne Burns sounds like an amazing way to explore the town and its culinary scene. We hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Kinsale!
You're welcome! We're glad you enjoyed the video and found the recommendations helpful. We hope you have a wonderful time exploring the beautiful villages.
Çok güzel görüntüler için teşekkürler. Tabiatı çok seviyorum, seyrine doyamıyorum. Doğa sever bütün insanlara Türkiye/İzmir den selamlar sevgiler.. Dünyamızı koruyalım lütfen..
I've stayed in Kenmare (which is beautiful village) but I think this video has opted for better known villages. I would say Castletownshend in West Cork should be on the list. The village itself is beautiful (with the castle, where you can stay, at the bottom of the village) but the scenery is outstanding. There are coves with beaches plus it is pretty much surrounded by the sea.
Thank you for your comment and for sharing your recommendation of Castletownshend in West Cork as a beautiful village to visit in Ireland. It's always great to hear from viewers who have personal experience and insights to share. We will be sure to keep this village in mind for any future videos or travel recommendations.
The hidden gem that is Ballycotton in County Cork is just beautiful. Stunning cliff walk..places to sea swim..pubs/restaurants..amazing food..musical venues..famous lifeboat.. lighthouse on an island nearby take a guided tour when season opens..beautiful harbour with busy lifeboat station...and just fantastic people.

Thanks for sharing this interesting information about John Travolta's connection to Kenmare. It's always fascinating to learn about the connections people have to different places and the history behind them.
Ireland is indeed an amazing country. It's hard to believe that such beauty exists in our world, but it's true! If you ever get the chance, we highly recommend visiting Ireland to experience its magic firsthand.
@@globetrekker1670 Thank you very much, my friend, if I actually get a chance to see Ireland in person, not only my flesh but also my soul will rejoice but…… but….
Thank you for your comment and for suggesting Westport and Donegal Town as additional beautiful destinations in Ireland. They are both stunning places that offer unique experiences and we are sure many travelers would love to visit them as well.
Thank you for your comment! The lake shown at :19 in the video is located in Killarney National Park, which is in County Kerry, Ireland. It's a truly beautiful spot and definitely worth a visit if you're ever in the area!
It's hard to find an ugly village in such a picturesque country! Kenmare is indeed a gem, and Ireland's villages each have their own unique charm. Thank you for appreciating the beauty of Kenmare and Ireland as a whole!
Thank you for your comment and for bringing this to our attention. Adare is officially classified as a village, and we apologize for any confusion caused by referring to it as a town in the video. We appreciate your feedback and strive to ensure the accuracy of our content.

We are sorry to hear about your concerns regarding safety and the legal system in Ireland. It's important to note that the issues you've mentioned can be found in various places around the world and aren't unique to Ireland. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
The Buren part of the cliff yes great the parking to go to see " badly managed & expensive charging for the visit charging for parking!!!!! as one would say " arnaque " must be the result of Trump property nearby......😢
Thank you for your comment and for bringing this to our attention. We have double-checked the video and the spelling of "Cong" appears to be correct throughout. We appreciate your feedback and would like to kindly ask if you could let us know at which point in the video you believe there is an error in the spelling. This will help us ensure the accuracy of our content in future videos. Thank you again for your comment and for watching our video.
Thank you for your follow-up comment and for clarifying the issue with the auto-generated chapters. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused. In the future, we will make an effort to provide our own chapters for our videos to ensure that all information is correct and easily accessible for our viewers. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention and for watching our video.
I would have loved to hear the narrator, but my eighty year old ears couldn't hear her for the background racket. I don''t know why people do that, the racket isn't what's important its the narration that's what we want to hear!
Thank you for your comment and feedback. We apologize for the issue with the background noise overpowering the narrator's voice. We understand that the narration is very important, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We will make efforts to ensure that the narrator's voice is clear and easily heard, prioritizing a better audio balance in our videos. Thank you for watching and for your valuable feedback.
I'm from Ireland and I hope she continues to pronounce it in the way that is most natural for her. Variety is the spice of life! How boring life would be if we all pronounced everything the same way.
@@helenaville5939 I just said try to, implying it's not that serious. Suggesting something small like that is not suddenly demanding uniformity of speech and accent worldwide.
@@ranica47 If it's not that serious why say it at all !!! Relax and just allow people to do things in their own unique way. I wish you well regardless.
@@helenaville5939 Why have teachers? Why have set ways to pronounce words? If someone was pronouncing Youghal as "Yo-gel" would you not tell them that it's "Yawl"? Or would you insist that their varied way of saying it is more important? My OP wasn't too preachy, I just pointed it out, didn't use insulting language or say that it was life or death. Nevertheless if someone can't point something out without being thought of as some anti variety curmudgeon that's a big, big stretch. If someone butchers the names Saoirse or Caoimhe for example would you let them know? Otherwise we've ended up with Caitlín being pronounced like (ugh) "Kate-lin" instead of "Kotchleen" because, variety. I also wish you well.
We apologize if this video did not accurately reflect your personal experiences in Ireland. We hope that you can still find some value in the video and thank you for your feedback.
5 tourist trap towns mostly not visited by the Irish themselves our gems are ours ull never find them top secret places for beauty and music and crack it's ours all ours 💚☘️✌️😜
We apologize for the audio quality in the video and the inconvenience it has caused. We will make sure to take your feedback into consideration and improve the audio balance in future videos to ensure that the narration is clear and easily audible. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
We understand your sentiment. Communities can change over time, but the essence and charm of a place can often endure. Ireland has a rich cultural heritage that still shines through in many aspects of life. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It's unfortunate to hear that your experience with the people in the beautiful villages wasn't as positive as expected. We believe that the charm of these villages is usually complemented by the friendly and welcoming nature of the locals. Nonetheless, we understand that everyone's experiences can differ, and we hope you encounter more positive interactions in your future travels.
@@globetrekker1670 Come on! You know perfectly well What he means. He isn't talking about the locals but the unwanted incomers foisted on our rural villages.
Thank you for your comment and for pointing out the discrepancies in the pronunciation of Adare and the Cliffs of Moher. We apologize for any confusion caused and appreciate your feedback. We strive to provide accurate information, and your comment serves as a reminder for us to ensure the highest quality in our content. We value your input and will work on improving our accuracy moving forward. Thank you for watching our video.
Thank you! We are glad you enjoyed the film and appreciate your kind words about the locations featured. It was a privilege to capture and share those stunning places with audiences.
Thank you for pointing out the location of the villages we featured in our video. We apologize for any confusion caused. As you rightly pointed out, all but one of the villages (Cong) are located in the province of Munster, in the south-west of Ireland. Cong, on the other hand, is located in the province of Connacht, which is adjacent to Munster. We hope this clarifies any confusion and thanks again for the feedback!
Other small towns in Ireland I've been to that I highly recommend include: Dingle, County Kerry; Clonmel, County Tipperary; Millstreet, County Cork; and Westport, County Mayo.
Thank you for sharing your experiences and recommendations! Dingle, Clonmel, Millstreet, and Westport are all lovely towns that offer visitors a unique taste of Ireland's beauty and culture. We appreciate your input and hope to visit these towns someday.
Not sure where some of your information comes from. You seem to believe that in Adare there is a castle at the heart of the village as well as Desmond Castle which is to the north, but both photos actually show Desmond Castle which is the only castle in Adare . And there are no "rows" of thatched cottages either, just one row of about 10 cottages. And Adare Manor is a private hotel, so you can't just wander through the gardens.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. According to the official website of Adare Manor, guests can wander through the gardens and the estate of the hotel. The website states that “the 840-acre estate of formal gardens, peaceful forests and rolling parklands is open to guests for exploration” and that “guests may design a bespoke itinerary of activities in and around the sweeping estate” . Therefore, Adare Manor is not a private hotel that restricts access to its gardens.
@@globetrekker1670 Yes, "guests" can wander through the garden. it costs hundreds of euro a night to stay there and is booked months ahead for afternoon tea, so if you are visiting the village you will not be able to wander anywhere, because it is a private hotel and does restrict access to just "guests"
@@globetrekker1670 I was just there for lunch last week....with a reservation. The guy at the gate checked the reservation before letting us proceed. Might want to clear up.... "is not a private hotel".
We are sorry to hear that the background music was too loud and made it difficult for you to understand the video. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration for future videos to ensure that the audio levels are balanced properly. Thank you for watching.
Try Broughshane in County Antrim. Has won loads of awards as the best kept traditional village in the UK/Ireland. Slemish mountain which has close associations with Saint Patrick is located nearby.
Thank you! We hope you get to visit Kenmare and the church your grandmother used to go to. It'll be a special experience connecting with your family's heritage.
Thank you for your comment and the tip about the Kinsale jazz festival in October! It sounds like an amazing experience, and We are sure many travelers will appreciate the advice to book in advance.
Thank you for your comment and for bringing the possible misspelling to our attention. Could you please let us know where in the video the misspelling occurred? Thank you!
Very difficult to come up with five. There are a lot more. Five in each county would be a better approach. Kinsale and Kenmare are probably more towns than villages. What population constitutes a village in Ireland? Glengariff is nice, Dingle (although again more of a town), Inistioge, Terryglass, Dalkey are a few villages that easily come to mind.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Your idea of exploring more places across each county is fantastic, and we'll definitely consider it for future content. Thanks for your engagement and for highlighting these beautiful spots!
Thank you for your comment and for recommending Ardara ! We appreciate your suggestion, and we're looking forward to featuring Ardara in an upcoming video, showcasing its amazing attractions. Stay tuned for more exciting content, and thank you for watching our channel!
Thank you for your comment and for clarifying that Kinsale is not technically considered a village. While it may not fit the technical definition, Kinsale is still a charming and picturesque destination in Ireland that many travelers enjoy visiting.
I love Dublin. I lived there all of the 70’s. I travelled extensively from Dublin, usually hitchhiking. Those days are gone but it was a wonderful way to meet Irish people. Everyone who picked me up insisted on taking me for a cup of tea or a pint. It was truly magical.
Thank you for your comment and for pointing that out. We appreciate your feedback and will strive to be more precise in our descriptions in future videos. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for your comment and for providing the correct pronunciation for the Cliffs of Moher. We appreciate your help in ensuring the accuracy of the content in the video.
Thank you for your comment! We're so glad to hear that you love Dingle. We actually just released a video about Dingle called "Exploring Dingle: Revealing the Hidden Gems of Ireland's West Coast." It is the Healy Pass. The Healy Pass is located in the Beara Peninsula, in the Caha mountain range, in south west Ireland. It is a mountain pass at an elevation of 334 metres that offers a unique experience from beginning to end. Thank you for your comment!
I would also recommend Carlingford in County Louth, and Westport in County Mayo. Malahide, North County Dublin is lovely too, but I live here, so I'm biased ☺️
