I am part Irish born in the United States but I never forget where my heredity began all my ancestors came from Ireland and England. As I have done ancestor tree and they take me to New York City where all my former relatives entered the United States in the early 1800's. But this type of country music is what we need again in the United States. I love country but not this latter life junk called country. If its lost its fiddle and steel guitar its not Country music. You hit the nail on the head Mr. Smith. My Great Grandmother's name was Addie Smith and settled in Kentucky when it was all said and done. We, too, are part Irish!

??? Huh? ... Ok! It's new to me, and I can't criticise this; it makes me happy! (Was it the Americans who did a good job with Irish music, or visa-versa?) I stumbled upon this collection randomly... I certainly don't hate it; not one little bit! We Americans try our ever-lovin' hearts out to play "Irish music", (not only on St. Patrick Day; year-round, believe it!) and I'm sure our "Irish" music sounds funky and weird to people in Ireland ... this is so funky and off and weird to me (as a resident of Nevada USA; "old west" as it gets), but it is so familiar in a really good way; lots of Elvis-influence, of course, a good dash of Hank Sr, ...and, there is some Zydeco in there, maybe? Well I'm glad to see Someone's keeping quality Country like it Used to be , alive .... It's sure being squelched off public radio here , more and more ..... It's always done well in other countries when someone can't get equal air-time over here ..... I like that movie btw... " The Quiet Man " ... One of my favorites .... I grew up on a potato-farm in northern Maine , the heart of potato-country .....or used to be before Idaho got the jump on us ... It's largely Acadian French up this way but We Do have some pockets of Scotch / Irish over to the Allagash region 'bout 30 miles down the road ... Farming and logging / paper-mills are pretty much what we have here where I live ... I was stationed in Germany in the first half of the 80 's and Country music was doing real well there at the time . Back state-side , it was doing great ....... till the end of the 90's .......

The Irish ☘️ brought the Country to America and the tap 💃 the barn dance 💃 All the great Country Singers were Irish America, They are gone now, Like Meryl Haggard ,The Most Recent Was Glen Campbell and George Jones ,.The Music They call Country in America now, It not Country at all...I have not bought anyone of their CDs Because it’s mostly Trash Singers, With very Feminine Men,I The good ol Manly deep voice Sexy Country Singers are all gone 😭
