Posting another version of of the 'AN-05' unit that came in blue finish instead. I've already sold the 'red version' of it which was made by 'Irin'. Albeit the label, this one however appears to be a version made by 'Yuer', on the other hand. But, deep down, they seem to be exactly the same pedals. And the only key difference is that, the pedal itself was mislabeled. In which, the volume knob should have been labeled as 'gain' & then vice versa.
The AN-05 appears to be a more compact version Joyo's JF-03 pedal, which is an earlier iteration of the same, of which the latter is considered a compact pedal on its own right already itself. Not to mention, they bore exactly the same moniker 'Crunch Distortion' as well. So, I'm speculating that they should be sounding the quite same, or probably 95% close, considering they're both made by the same company too. 'coz I've never owned a JF-03 unit yet. So, there's no way I could 'A/B' the units themselves...
For direct monitoring from the 'cube baby', I'm using an ATH-M20X headphones by Audio Technica. However, a parallel out also directly coming from the 'cube baby' itself goes to the audio input of my phone, which is just an old Samsung J6+ unit. And, upon transferring the 'ATH' into the 'J6' for previewing, there really isn't much variance at all. BUT, soon as I've watched the file/video from my desktop, which drives a pair of Bose Companion 2 Series II monitors, the discrepancies in audio quality is fairly large. Apparently, the 'ATH' trumps the 'companions' this time around, though.
Hence, quite likely, the tone you'll be hearing from your end may not give justice to how i've heard the pedal when i had it tested through my own system.
