Personally, if it were me, I'd have far more worse in store for Arfoire. Perhaps a broken arm, and a deep, permanent marking, as a way of giving a constant reminder to never lay harm to an innocent child. Though I respect Iris Heart for her motives, her actions (whatever she did) weren't exactly thought through all that well. Even I wouldn't be that cruel in front of a kid.

Plutia seems like the classic "spoilt girl" - she never seems to actually suffer the consequences of her actions. The anime did her some good, but this scene is burned into my memory. Surprised Rei didn't mention this attitude later on either, since they're rather alike in HDD.

the only character in anime history i know that could beat iris heart(and have the guts to stand up against her) would be kenshiro from hokuto no ken. since he's the heir of the hokuto shinken he can use the hokuto shinken powers (like making people blow up after 10 second just by touching them so iris heart wouldn't be a problem for him)

From what I can tell, it was brutal. From what I got out of Arfoire's dialogue, Plutia probably used her heel... which would, like you said, hurt like hell.

Why does Plutia have so much hate? I like her. Her normal form is adorable and Her HDD form is hilarious. I just think the other characters reactions to Iris Heart are priceless. So why?

Basically, humor is not universal. Not everyone likes the same kind ofcomedy,and this "comedy" in specific is very divisive.
The innuendo amd the crazy shit that just happened is as bad as Ar Tonelico except AT was not shy in the least about telling you wtf was happening. Aurica's install scene and Aoto removing the plug in in AT3. I guess HPDN didn't want to go down that road
