She emerged in the mid-90s as one half of Moloko, the duo she formed with then-boyfriend Mark Brydon, creating iconic dance hits like "Sing It Back" and "The Time Is Now". After 30 years of pop, Irish artist Róisín Murphy is touring with her sixth solo album "Hit Parade" - said to be her best yet. Eve Jackson caught up with her at the end of the European leg of the tour to reminisce about gigs in Paris, going clubbing and to talk about making her best music yet at age 50.

I like her songs, style, voice. But what kind of promoting a new album is this? The first tune they play is "Sing it back". Then she shares her memories from past Paris tours. To me it's like: look at me! Me me me!

@@muthamucka9009 She expressed gratitude and humility several times in the interview, and I believe she is entitled to that, but how could you miss her using that opportunity to clarify her Facebook comments regarding trans youth to gloat about her tour? I could understand a defensive response like she gave if she wasn't prepared with the interview questions beforehand, but that was weak.
