I am a 61 yr old guy and have seen so many Donna"s tutorials and have decided to make this quilt for my 1 of 4 grandchildren. Many thanks to Donna and her husband for so many easy to follow instructions.
I have quilted for years, I am 90 years old and love your show, can’t get much quilting done, my time is spent watching your show? Love your show and I am doing my best to get 2 quilts finished so I can start another one. Have a happy day.
Donna....bless you! Thank you for all the videos that you and your husband have made to show anyone that they can make a quilt. I love the Irish Chain quilt for many reason and you have inspired me to make one as my very first quilt (I will practice on a small table runner first). I must tell you that this summer my father passed away at the age of 94. I was depressed from the loss and also from taking care of him for over year seeing him decline but he went peacefully in the end. One day I was looking through RU-vid and came across your videos and began to watch them. It was like therapy...lol. You brought my spirits up and have encouraged me to get into quilting. Thank you very very much!
Love your alls Pre-cut am have a ball love your videos I am 75 making my daughter and grand kids 2 Christmas presents and your precuts save me a lot of time thank you both
Thanks Jordan I was looking for a great Irish Chain pattern and this the size I wanted. Appreciate all your very informative tutorials and a free download is always great.!
Thanks again Donna and your "secret weapon":) That quilt and fabrics you used is to die for. I can sit and watch you sew forever!!! Just wonderful tutorials. From Australia
I love your tutorials. The civil war prints are beautiful. All your fabrics are beautiful. Ever since I saw your videos I am hooked. I watch them all the time. Good tip with the weight. Look forward to more videos.
I love that you put Matt to work on camera! I find it tedious (not relaxing) sewing all those little squares so I would make strip sets and subcut. Can't wait to see the new shop. Keep up the great videos.
Very nice. I currently am using jelly roll and cutting yardage. I like the corner stones, I think I might try that. Adds a very nice touch. Thanks for the great idea.
This is such a great tutorial. Actually, all of your tutorials are! I love how you chain piece by leaving the row threads attached. It seems to make everything go together much quicker and keeps everything more organized. I’m going to start doing that. I have learned SO much from you, Donna! Thank you!
I look forward to all the Jordan Fabrics tutorials. I have learned a lot of helpful information that I have started incorporating into my quilt making. Thank you for being excellent teachers. I would love to see a tutorial of the Cozy Quilts pattern Hanging Gardens. Thank you for all your inspiration!
Just wanted to thank you for the great method of sewing together a nine patch. So quick and easy and without all the pressing after each step. I used in on a disapearing pinwheel block that I had put aside due to all the pressing and it worked great.
I love how you show to chain piece, leaving the blocks connected to continue on to the next rows. Makes this so easy and quick to make. The fabrics you used look great!
Hi Donna and Matt. I love all your tutorials because you show the cutting , piecing and quilting. I've recently bought one of your table runner kits- it's almost too nice to take out of the package- but I will. You make it so easy to follow along the making of all your kits. I just wish I lived in the States so I could come visit your shop. Maybe one day! Xx
Love all your videos! I get excited every time I see a new one! Please do a tumbling block tutorial...I've seen a few but I think with your precision and attention to detail it would be great. Thanks!
Thank you SO much for showing your methods of chain piecing! I have chain pieced for years but never like you showed here. I will be changing to your method! Also, thanks for showing the pastel quilt first. That's my favorite! I make LOTS of baby/kid quilts. Again, my sincere thanks.
Love your beautiful shop and fabrics. 🌼🌼🌼 Can you please do a tutorial how to quilt a large quilt without using a long arm (if at all possible)? Nice to see your husband back in the videos and can't wait for your new shop to be opened.
Thanks again for the great tutorial! The Irish Chain is one of those quilts on my to do list. Now I think it will happen sooner than later. I also have to thank you both for the cutting lessons. I am dealing with a shoulder injury and I just don't have the strength I need to hold my ruler steady. I am now using one of my weights on the ruler when cutting fabrics. Wow, what a difference it has made for me. It really has saved on my shoulder and my fabric. SINCERE THANKS!!!
I enjoy your tutorials and learn a lot. I have made an Irish Chain. I cut my own 2 1/2" strips but jelly rolls would be so much easier. I made strip sets 2 dark and 1 light in the middle and some with 2 lights and a dark in the middle. It seems like this would be so much easier and faster than cutting all those 2 1/2" squares and putting each small square together.
Love all your quilts Donna, but this one is special for me as I’m from Ireland. I’ve collected a stack of fabric that I know will be wonderful. I also think I would love it with just 2 colours. Blue and white - my favourite choice. But a mix of pastels would be wonderful for a special 8 yr. girl that I’ve promised a quilt as a birthday present. Thank you for this tutorial. You are a wonderful teacher. 🤩🤩
Beautiful! I love Civil War prints so this will definitely go on my to-do list. As always, you showed us how to do this accurately and easily. Thanks, Donna!
I so enjoy your tutorial and the Irish Chain quilt you made. Your method of chain piecing blocks together and keeping them together makes so, so much sense. I am very glad I stumbled upon your site. Looking forward to viewing all the tutorials and the new ones to come. Oh, I really love that you spoke about what pattern you decided to use for the quilt. As a fairly new quilter I sometimes find it hard to decide what to use. Thank you.
Another great tutorial. I always look forward to what you have to offer. You are truly inspiring. You make me want to run to my sewing room. Thank you.
I am so glad I watched this! Every time I saw one of these I thought it’d be too advanced for me. Thankfully you broke it down into “doable” & I’m actually excited to tackle this one!! Thank you Donna!
Hi Donna I love how you do your tutorials, you are a very talented teacher. I have made one of your tube quilts and could not be happier with my results. You make quilting fun and easier than I originally thought. From a newby quilter thank you . The only thing that could be better is if you can tell me how to quilt easier on my small sewing machine as I can not afford nor do I have space for a long arm.
