Love the idea of the ginger marshmallow biscuits, and I do enjoy the snowballs as a comfort food treat. Poor dogs, they were definitely confused with all the extra fridge door activity.💕🍂🤔⛄️
Thanks - I'll look forward to the supermarket visits! I love to have on hand during the holidays, candied pecans, chocolates, cheese & crackers, and shrimp for the seafood lovers in the family - and plenty of beer & wine.
Loved seeing all of your festive snacks! I’ve always wanted to try the tea cakes and snowballs and Kimberley’s!💖 My family used to have Chinese on Christmas Eve too lol! We always have cheeseboard and party food items around the holidays too! Can’t wait to see more of the Irish supermarkets and treats 💕🥰🎄✨❄️☃️
We always get boxes of Sees Candy and order mint chocolate logs and boxes of petite fours. We used to get their cookies but they are too small now and 4 times the price at Swiss Colony. I always made peanut butter balls and a bar cookie with chocolate chips, walnuts, caramel and oatmeal cookie base and topping. I would make the two cookies and send them to my two sons in the navy. They asked me if I’d take orders but I just couldn’t cuz I had a full time job.
My sister and I went to Toronto Ontario in December. There is a diner called Farrelly’s all Irish food and snacks. We haven’t tried the Flaky, Snowballs or the Lion bars yet. Going to make the Irish soda bread handier to St Pats Day.
We dont really have any store-bought treats for Christmas traditions, possibly because we grew up in a pretty rural area on a farm. We bake several varieties of Christmas Cookie and Fudge and when our Grandmothers were alive, they made 3 or 4 flavors of Roski (pronounced Ro zshak). I have both their recipes but have never tried to make them.
I would like to come to your house to taste all of the snacks! They all look delicious. I live in Western Canada, and our Christmas chocolate must haves are: Turtles, Almond Rocha, Tofifee, Quality Street, Ferro Roche, and Merci
I'm afraid your wrong Karen we have After Eight from 8AM in our house LOL!😅 Good selection there, you have just reminded me to get Fox's Biscuits Thanks. 👍🎄
I’ve been able to buy Tayto crisps for quite a while now in my local Home Bargains… if you have one locally to you in London it may be worth checking out the crisp aisle
You should see the quality street boxes here in Australia 🇦🇺 I'm ropeable 😡 it's like a tiny stupid cardboard box was not happy , I going to send them a letter , wasn't happy 🙄 😂😂 I look forward to them every year 😊 😂😂 🤷♀️😂👋🇦🇺🎅🎄 love the treats
I am curious, do you do any baking? It is our tradition to bake cookies and treats( not crisps of course!) a couple years ago I got inspired watching the Great British baking show and learned how to make a Yule log!
We have a few things planned this year! Dad will be doing apple pie and Rachel and I have some new creations we want to try! Ooh I do love a yule log but we tend to buy ours lol
@@KarenBee the only hard part about the Yule log is the rolling without cracking it! I cheat and use a cake mix but make th ganache and whipped cream myself
