I am south african but my family come from county sligo. Yes everyone comes from ireland but i realise my family humour comes from there. We laugh a lot even when we are crying

Hang on, am I secretly the no craic person?! I love a good event, sometimes show up early, and we don't really have snugs as much here (Canada) but I like the idea of them because you can just sit in the back like some kinda secret agent or Thomas Shelby and only invite in people you really rate.

Even as a Canadian, I understand and agree with everything Jarlath has said. I won’t assume that just being of distant Irish descent (relatives came to Canada during/after the potato famine) that the Craic has just trickled down. But it makes total sense to me, LOL, especially the non-craic! “Frosted glass” on a snug? Hilarious, even though I've never seen one!

As a fellow Canadian with the same heritage I have to admit that I like a cozy snug, and I freely admit that all the craziness in the family came from Ireland and those potato avoiders.
