In the first of four special installments on Ireland's Nobel Laureates in Literature, The Irish Influence welcomes celebrated journalist, author, and critic Fintan O'Toole. Speaking on the life and works of George Bernard Shaw, O'Toole brings his characteristic wit, depth, and scholastic rigor to one of history's most fascinating and influential authors.

Thank you for this very entertaining and informative discussion about a playwright sadly slipping away from our collective consciousness. Anything by Fintan O'Toole is always stimulating. And out here, in a lockdowned part of Australia, I was moved to to search out the review of "Outside Mullingar". I'm glad to say that I've never been on the receiving end of quite such an excoriating critique, but I must admit it did make me laugh as well as squirm.
