My familial lineage comes from Niall, but more closely in our line, is Fergus mor MacEarca, and am amazed and humbled, by the times spoken of here. I appreciate so much, for the telling! My last name is Iness, it's Irish and has been mutated repeatedly through the years. My family history is lost, as is the true history of many many families, especially here in America. However, I know when I look at photos or films of the land in Ireland, I feel a pull, which I think of as an ancestral knowing or recognition of my past. Also my genetic testing from 3 different sources have all come back 75% or higher Irish/Scottish/Welsh. AND I am experiencing spiritual awakening, as I'm sure many others are at this time, so your video has been doubly enjoyable and enlightening. Thank you, friend 🤓👍

My Great grandmother arrived in the northeast as an indentured servant. we have a small contract she had to fulfill, to pay for her passage. She was five years old. She embodied nobility.

How interesting. I had never ran into this site or the one I was just viewing. I started listening to the other one and was surprised that they mention "Saint" Patrick. I mentioned my blood line and the fact that my ancestor Fiachu was the one who captured the guy, when he was still a teen. Immediately after, I was recommended this site by RU-vid and when I click it mentions it's about Niall, Fiachu's father. I been researching my bloodline for decades, so I would have thought I would run into this site before, but as I mentioned on the other site, I believe the time has come for it all to come out. Haven't even started watching this video, but it should give me even more information. I doubt that anyone would even guess where I'm from or how many people there have Irish ancestors. If you ask anyone one to guess, they would probably guess zero. But, I believe they ended up there in the 1500's because of what is happening now and who else are among our ancestors. I'm taking notes.

I've been told over and over again by Irish citizens that his name is pronounced like Niel or Neel and not like Nile. From what I've been told, Niel is the Gaelic (and correct) pronunciation, while Nile is the anglicisation pronunciation. In other words, Nile is the Americanized pronunciation.

So the millions of us who have DNA which was supposed to stretch back to Niall actually seem to come with an ancestor of Niall -- perhaps Cinn of the Hundred Battles, or someone even more ancient.

You said that the Druid could have burned anyone's property ... Um, I could be wrong but wouldn't the Druid then be responsible to pay an honor price under Brehon law for destruction of property? Otherwise this was a great video and very insightful after thoughts.

by choosing the anvil niall chose what was most valuable to another. he placed another's needs above his own. the other brothers chose what was valuable to themselves. only niall showed he had the character of a sovereign of the people.

I am a descendant of Brion Niall should never have been made High King he had no right to the THRONE. Brion was supposed to be King by Birth Rite as he was First Born and up to that point? Every High King was succeeded by their First Born for 2,500 years!! This was the Beginning of the end of Ireland unfortunately....As this split up Ireland as the Ui'neil stole the High Kingship and eventually killed Brion and his Sons split into the UI'Bruins and splitting up Ireland and created more infighting..... If Brion became King as he should?Ireland would of remained whole and withstood the Vikings and English........

People should accept the reality that irish History and language is a complex mixture of different peoples. There were stages of artificial changes in the irish language from what appears to be welsh and scottish gaelic and french(from latin) and norse. So with this reality in mind present day people should not try to "reinvent the wheel" so to speak. By using "irish" language in place names and names of organisations really doesn't make sense because the language is lost in it's original form: old irish gaelige. It's sad but reality and the people living on the island of Ireland should accept the fact that they are in some ways british, it was said to me in a phrase: "west brits."

Thank you for using a morph instead of just jumping between cuts. As for those that poo poo anything here ... as you said, live and learnand just keep doing. Don't fake an accent to appease them I wonder who here really knows how these names and places were pronounced 5k years ago if anything language is fluid. Kudos and thank you for presenting.
