I've been flipping knitting instructions in my left-handed mind for over 60 years! Probably can't change that now, but a BIG THANK YOU for thinking about so many younger left-handed people out there!!!

My goal is to make all of my friends a unique scarf for Christmas this year. Each is being done in their Harry Potter house colours, but each person has a different stitch. Thing is, I need patterns easy enough to be able to put down with no notice since I mostly knit at work. My job goes from dead to crazy in a second so I don't have time to pick up complicated patterns. Right now I'm making a scarf in the Edelweiss stitch, but that's as much as I can handle at work.
Hey, I am doing the same thing! Plus I am adding the house patch to each, and if there is enough time I plan to make a royal purple and silver scarf for Dumbledor.
I started knitting a couple months ago and have been following your channel and saw this video. I decided to give it a try and so far it’s going well. I showed both my daughters and now they would love to have scarves made for them. My question, what would be a good yarn type and weight to get started on their scarves? I know this is several years old but I'm a prolific scarf maker and I really like chunky yarns for scarves because they drape very well and knit up fast -- something like super chunky yarn with 12mm needles would do a great job
I think this pattern also works with odd numbered rows. Because then every second row of the pattern then gets moved by one and you get the same pattern again.
