Criticizing Lagavulin is close to irredeemable in certain scotch-tasting circles. If you held the same opinion of the 16 year-old expression, you may have been torched at the stake for heresy...especially from the Royal Order of Peat Heads.
"T'be fair, I know a lad Tyrell, he'd rob yer bike when yer not lookin'." Perfect. Also, "This is a whiskey that'd f*** its sister." - Somewhere, Leather Jacket Guy just looked up and smiled.
How about a Stroh Rum TRY testing? And it HAS to be Ciara and Leather Jacket Man sat together next to each other.. 5 full shots.. Shot 1 - Stroh 38 Shot 2 - Stroh 40 Shot 3 - Stroh Fire Shot 4 - Stroh 60 Shot 5 - Stroh 80
Grainne reminds me of a girl I knew in high school, she was a good listener, but didn't always speak. But if she spoke everyone listened, because it was going to be Very Smart, Very Poignant or very Funny.
I like how the video with Martin and Niall was like a true father son relationship, hopeful, then disappointment, education, then a common ground. Martin, you are Niall's and all of our daddy's
@@PaulDozierZZoMBiE13 My conversion at 19 involved an older blonde, high heels, scotch and little else. It's nice that you can find direction in life early.
Niall: "...then he dies on the toilet, his son shoots him with a crossbow..." Martin: "Like Elvis." Sorry, Martin. Elvis did die on the toilet...but it was a long bow with a bacon, banana and peanut butter sandwich in lieu of an arrow.
@@johanvajse8410 You got to mention the drugs or he just had a hard time but left out alive. ( season one of Euphoria yeah its HBO; they described why this normal process got deadly with Elvis as the example.)
Martin: "I was nearly killed by a boar...last time I did a Try shoot with Dermot." _Boar_ ...or _bore_ ? 10:09 "Not as smooth....but the most flavorful of all of them." Not surprising. It's _Lagavulin_ , one of my personal favorites.
@@sandyloveday7292 for real, i was shocked when i saw him pop up, he isn't in it for long, you see him in the first scene of season 6 episode 10. It's only for a few seconds though, but worth it lol youtube the opening scene.
@@sandyloveday7292 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2jVEFOMc_bg.html It really is super short, about 2-3 seconds at 2:27 or so. And you can just barely tell it's him, but if you know who it is (and we do!) you can recognize him. 😄 He's the one who tells the young king that the trial is about to start.
Hell, I'll throw shade on the previous 7 seasons for you, then. I thought it was one of the damned silliest shows I've ever seen. I watched _part_ of _one_ GOT episode....and that was enough for me. Not exactly missing anything, there.
You guys are helping me survive being stuck at home since March! Thank you ❤️ Since the quarantine started I lost my aide service and I’m a wheelchair user so I can’t get out much by myself. Your videos are keeping me smiling and laughing.
The Lagavulin 9 is outstanding. Like it more than the 8 and even the 16. I'm glad most people look at the GOT whisky as just a marketing gimmick. More available for me.
I'm sore from an ab workout, and I had to hold my stomach several times when Niall made a funny comment. Totally worth it though, 11/10 would repeat (also, kind of jealous, I enjoy a good scotch as well, and these all seemed fab!)
I always love watching your videos. They make my day and make me laugh. I love seeing all your reactions espically the strongest alcohols. Love from dunkirk New york🇺🇸
@@bjs3380 Oh but in the films he was played by Ray Stevenson, the handsome actor that also played Titus Pullo in the miniseries _Rome_ . And he didn't appear voluminous, just brawny.
I LOVED the last season and ending to GOT. It built up perfectly from season 2 and basically told you what was going to happen if you paid attention. It was true art.
@@guillaumeb5511 I was only able to fully explore the joys of single malts afforrdably for a short period of my life, back in the mid 1990's, due to a fortunate coincidence of circumstances: 1) I was living in Canada for ~18 months, and since Canada was part of the British Commonwealth, there was no import duty on scotch. 2) the Canadian dollar was only valued at 0.7 US dollars, lowering the price even further, compared to what I was used to paying in the States. 3) the Japanese (and other) large conglomerates had not yet begun to purchase Scottish distilleries (after which, prices began a sharp rise). I remember, you could still get a fifth of MaCallan 25 for under $150, and Lagavulin 16 and Oban 14 were under $95. Ah, those were the days.
I was so happy to see them brand Cardhu with Targaryen livery. Without wanting to paying for the exporting of it, I've been hunting Cardhu at every bottle shop and liquor store I could find. The first time I found it was in a mom & pop liquor store on the backroads of Dallas, GA like it was nothing special and it took me years to spot another bottle in the wild. The stuff is the nectar of the Gods.
