What song should I react to next?! Every week I will be choosing one of your song suggestions from my Pot of Gold! Just chip in & include your song suggestion! Here’s a link to my Pot of Gold - paypal.me/pools/c/8v1pWTFksq 🤍🤍🤍
Yah, Daydreaming will have your eyes wet before you realize it. The chord progressions are really full of emotion! Miku, rhythm guitarist/vocalist, is singing with Saiki about 90% of the time, and they’re so good at harmonizing that much of the time, you’ll think it’s just one voice. Oh, and I’m not a part of that 93% you mentioned earlier!😊💪🏻🤘🏻
Kanami is a woman who knows rock well. As long as she is a band-made brain, she will succeed. The melody is pop J rock, but the background is completely hard rock. Bass and drums are the lifeline of this band. If it were a safe world this year, Band-Maid would have achieved world domination. Did you see the other two hours of online live?
@@glenkelley6799 LOL. When Akane injured herself & couldn't drum it was cos she went to sit down & her seat ran away. A-chan inspires fear into wood the world over :)
Band-Maid is a phenomenal band. There are a slew of other Japanese rock bands but honestly Band-Maid is in the league of their own. These talented ladies can not only perform but they are also very creative composers/writers. Not sure if you've seen any of their live performances yet but be prepared to be further blown away. Great reaction 👍
That emotion you're feeling is as much because of their insanely brilliant songwriting ability as it is because of Saiki's voice (which is of course awesome) - and don't even get me started about the guitar solo!
This song is great! One of their best and memorable power ballads. The emotions is there from start to finish. They're the most talented musicians and song writer. You're an Irish singer, do you notice that this song has a U2 sounded melody?
You should check out Lovebites, if you want to start out with something not too heavy then go with 'epilogue', 'edge of the world', 'empty daydream', 'dancing with the devil' or 'swan song'. Some heavy songs are 'raise some hell', 'thunder vengeance','holy war','shadow maker','break the wall' etc.......
Thanks for covering Band-Maid, Kate. YOLO, Daydreaming, Puzzle and a number of others, are world-class masterpieces. Too bad no one (relatively speaking) knows about them. Band-Maid numbers should be in the tens of millions, if not higher. It's a complete mystery to me how people have moved away from mind, gut, and soul gripping rock... to cheezy, glitz & glam pop entertainers, industrial boy groups, and "I'm to cool for you" commercial hip-hop / rap crap. Maybe groups like Band-Maid, The Warning, Jinjer and others will once again ignite people's musical sensibilities back to where it should be - honest, rock-based, kick-ass music written from the heart -- and yes, that includes everything from classical, R & B, funk, grunge and soul to jazz, fusion, prog and metal. Wow... did I just say all that?? Sorry, slip of the fingers. 🤘😎🤘
Your reactions are just like mine when I first heard this. Except mine was more expletive filled. WTF?! R U F kidding me?! This is F epic!! Thanks for the great react vid! :)
It'd be good to check out the two live versions of their song "Puzzle". One is the normal version, and the other is acoustic, and the difference in the vocals, and the emotion of the song, is quite amazing. ...it just depends if someone can provide you with links, as neither is on publicly on youtube currently.
Since you react to the first bandmaid song i fell in love with this band. I'll subscribe to your channel. Plus daydreaming is one of their gem from 2nd album world domination.
If you want to hear a great guitar solo listen to Real Existence. To see their personalities watch the MV for Don't you Tell me, my own favorite MV. To see them live with each member getting a solo watch Domination live. But for a killer drum solo watch Freedom live. These last two are from the February 14, 2020 concert. Welcome to the Band-Maid family. There are also videos of breaks that they take where Miku talks to the audience, they have fun on stage. Oh, and when you said where did that bass line come from, MISA (yes, her name is all caps) is known as the Barefoot Assassin because during concerts she goes barefoot and will come out of nowhere to destroy you with an awesome bass line. Keep up the great job, hoping this will help in your journey down the rabbit hole.😁❤️
If you think you’re getting emotional now just wait until you get a hold of their acoustic versions of Puzzle and Anemone! Very emotional songs! These two songs are just Kanami on acoustic and Saiki singing! Then you’ll hear something very beautiful
You should go back and watch/listen to their first music video "THRILL", it's what got me hooked on them. It will show where they came from and how far they've journeyed. Their catalog is simply amazing, and they keep breaking new ground. Thanks for the reaction.
Band Maid, thumbs up! I'd like to see you continue with Band Maid even if you decide to check out some new bands. Wonderland (live) is another nice showcase of Saiki's voice. Domination (live) is a good entry point and shows the whole band well. Blooming MV is on the harder side and has a nice guitar solo.
You should listen to the live version of Puzzle and if you can find it compare it to the acoustic version. Same song but its hits you in a completely different way. Saiki with just Konami on guitar.
Here's one I love. A bit on the POP side, but way too fun to ignore. Choose Me: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MZIJ2vFxu9Y.html. Also, here's one that's more of a grunge punk rock hard paced action song. Rinne (Reincarnation): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CQ9dbEVgZcA.html
Enjoyed the reaction! Next, you should give one of their live clips a go. As good as their music videos are, they're really more of a live band. A good one that really showcases how much they love performing is "Freedom". I'll leave the link below. Enjoy Band Maid for a bit, then we'll turn you on to Lovebites! Le Gra! Band Maid - "Freedom" (live): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FHpuEqMAcDg.html
Oh my godd-da! Thats-a good-a musick-ka! No but seriously...Band Maid are the best thing in rock the last 4 or 5 years or so. Please come back to USA!!
this band is very dynamically good... each song has different style with a mix of different genres ... they are really talented in their instruments... try to watch wonder land by them .... this song according to the lead guitarist kanami tono she finds it very difficult to arrange the song .....
K, so far you did a pure chaos song (Different) and now a world class power ballad. You need to do a live video. No band in the world right now can touch them live and I'm not being hyperbolic. Try "Domination" live. The middle section is mini solos from each member.

Lovely reaction, thanks! This is the type of music you wish radios could play, but sadly not.. Another Saiki's showcase is "Wonderland"
If you like seeing different sides of BAND-MAID you have to see their April Fools persona BAND-MAIKO. With their version of 'Secret My Lips', 'Secret Maiko Lips' . . . ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NNHGABwme50.html
You should check out Freedom live - from 2/14/20 - That song also showcases her voice and you can see how good their are live. They are 100x better live.
I'm Japanese . And I recommend 'Babymetal' . There is no singer who has both beauty and good singing like Su-Metal (the lead singer of Babymetal) 'in Japan' , I think . She is 24years old now . She belongs to the biggest entertainment company in Japan and is a famous singer and talent from when a child .
I can recommend "Freedom" from Band Maid if you want to be speechless some more ^_-. It has the greatest drum solo I've seen to date. As for other bands, I can recommend checking out Band Maiko with "secret maiko lips" - they're just as good as Band Maid, believe it or not :p
Perhaps it's time to focus on Shiina Ringo, She fronts a band called Tokyo Jihen and is a blend of Jazz, Swing & Rock. A good entry tune might be 'No Verao As Noites' live
I assume you have already received a recommendation. However, Yousei Teikoku this is one pinnacle that you will regret if you do not encounter. There was certainly some boring JPOP before this style was perfected. The experiment of mixing many styles has finally unearthed a real talent. This band is the pinnacle of that. The magic of the vocals is such that I doubt if it really exists. Yousei Teikoku - Astral Dogma ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_EeYxtAeaX4.html
Now that you have heard the best female rock band playing today (The Warning are also awesome), try the best all female power metal band Lovebites and their bluesy vocalist, Asami, who sings in English. Start with Empty Daydream LIVE a ballad (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lXh_uMM94jU.html) and then you can get the full treatment with Scream for Me LIVE (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9Og4gvSUmCo.html) and watch insanely talent women all small in stature (5") stand taller than any other power metal band playing LIVE and doing it flawlessly!
Band-Maid fans will keep you exploring other of their songs. In parallel, when people start to know B-M, the next step is almost always Lovebites. They are more like Metal, highly skilled, empowered women. I think a good start would be When Destinies Align: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hLFelI93VkM.html
Hopefully you can put this link in your watchlist and when you come back for reactions, try this... The Charm Park - Hana ga Saku Michi ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GmMejJK_vHg.html Great reaction on Band-Maid as usual! Thanks! Will watch the last one you did which is Blooming.
Great reaction video. More Band-Maid please. I'm curious to see your reaction to Lovebites. They are an all female Japanese Heavy Metal band that will knock your socks off. Seriously, their song Thunder Vengeance is a good place to start as it's the first song of a Concert. Thanks ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yWE7PqCpGi4.html
Glad you heard us and found this song and suggest Blooming (the MV) next. It's their best I think. Other bands maybe a few, Lovebites, DOLL$BOXX are good, Babymetal is crap sexist BS, Bandmaid has over 60 songs and no bad ones - lots to listen to.
Nice reaction. Stick with B-M, there's so much see and listen to (with they're new album release next month they will have over 100 songs). Pick a song, any song...you won't be disappointed!!!😜👍🤘🤘🤘
What astounds me about this song is how it is able to encompass feelings of melancholy, and hopefulness, whilst maintaining a rock intensity. That is what separates this song from all other "power ballads" for me! You would have to be a complete sociopath to not be moved by this song. Miku's secondary vocal is what brings this whole song together, for me. Yes, all the parts are incredible, but hers is what sends it over the top. As that is what really brings the hopefulness to the forefront and sets up Kanami up perfectly for her guitar solo. Of course, you have Misa and Akane injecting the energy to propel the song forward as any truly great rhythm section does. Which just leaves Saiki to tell the story in the way that only she can.
First??? Thank you for doing Band-Maid again! Glad you are exploring the different sides of the band. They really don’t like to be limited to one genre or style only.
If you want bass line, check out Yolo or Dice! Onset, an instrumental, is awesome! Play, live especially, is terrific! For a fantastic drum solo, Freedom, live, from the Feb 14, 2020 show! And Alone, the first self written song allowed on a album, is still one of Kanami's best solos. Then there is Domination! Actually, Band-Maid has over 90 songs and counting, and they are all great and quite different from each other. Enjoy the ride, you'll find Band-Maid fans are quite addicted to them! If you want to hear Miku's voice, Rock in Me or Time, btw!
From Japan. The great thing about BAND-MAID is its incredible diversity. If you like this song, I think it would be interesting for you to react to the song Puzzle. There is an electric guitar version and an acoustic version of the puzzle. The same song is played by the same band, but they sound completely different. And both are unbelievably great. I think you will also like songs like Rinne, REAL EXISTENCE, DOMINATION, MORATORIUM, etc.
