Thank you, this made me cry because it was one of my husband's favorite songs to sing. He had a beautiful tenor and was pitch perfect so it was always lovely to hear.

One day over 40 years ago, I was in the instrument room of our high school and found a bassoon. The closest instructor was two hours away, so I taught myself. I continue to play after all these years, but love to hear the sounds of professionals. It is certainly an under-rated and misunderstood instrument by many. I find it very meaningful and soulful in solo or in a group setting. Thank you for that wonderful Percy Grainger arrangement.

This song was always a spark to me whenever I had a bad day.

Have you ever thought of adding a contrabassoon to your ensemble?

I play bassoon and I always thought it was a boring and bad instrument but now I know that I was completely wrong
