The Fanny one is my favorite 😂😂 i remember all of these on tv 📺 one thing us scots are amazing at is laughter 😃 taking the piss and having good banter!
The kid inside the mother that grabs the can advert was just out when my second son was born and during my Mrs labour I went over to her and waved the can in front while the midwife and nurse were there, she was raging and the staff were laughing.
Scottish humour at its best Eddy, No one should know Scottish people better than Barrs the makers of Irn Bru. I remember the factory in Falkirk when I was a kid . It outsells Coke in Scotland says the guy sitting here drinking Diet Coke 😂
Irn Bru billboards were even crazier back in the day. I remember driving by one when I first saw a sweet calf with a caption saying, `when I`m a burger I want to be washed down with Irn Bru 🤣🤣🤣🤭
The guy that caught his mum with two blokes the kid said nice rug mum and she put her pillow down to cover herself 😂my 2 favourite s are the butcher one and snowman them are brilliant
That's when it's officially Xmas in Scotland when they show the Snowman Irn Bru ad on the TV. It's a shame they don't show it in England. I showed it to a Scot that moved down to England about 10 years ago and he'd never seen it but it made his day xxx
Fanny was a normal old name, sometimes short for Stephanie or Frances. There's a book/film called Fanny by Gaslight and an old TV chef called Fanny Craddock. It was taken over by the rude brigade like you wouldn't call a girl Karen these days.
There's loads more Irn Bru ads that you'd love. Check out the ones for Fiery Irn Bru, they are hilarious. I already follow King Boomer, he's really good! Loved your reaction as always ❤
The Snowman parody is awesome, but the dad in the bulldog one reading a magazine called 'Scottish Stuff' nearly caused me to choke when I first seen it. My girlfriend at the time had people coming into the newsagent where she worked actually looking for it!
NO.2 is my favourite, i have a soft spot for snowman and the irn bru version is classic, and it has a sequel. Yes, these adverts were shown on TV, back when the UK had a sense of humour. The problem is that TV execs are that scared of offending that 1 in 10,000, so they have to be boring and PC, they won't take any risks. It's why we don't really get sitcoms anymore and ones we do get are crap. They are terrified on that one complaint. Still Game, Father Ted, Blackadder would not be allowed to be made today. British humor is all about taking the piss out of ourselves, and it's really sad that we seem to have lost that.
The older ads played on the statement that it is 'made from girders' and somehow gave you superhuman strength 🤣 From the 90s onwards it was a different strategy, to make the ads absurd, radicicolous and funny, something you'd be talking about in the playground the next day.
Europeans usually allows a lot more on their adverts and these ads are quite tame compared to many other ads I've seen over the years lol. We seem to be far more open then the US on what can be shown.
I'm scottish, and I love your videos about my country, but I personally would love to see videos about your country of ireland, something to think about. "I think you've exhausted scottish reaction.😁
You can still get all Barr juices in glass bottles in Scotland. You need to try Red Kola, Cola with a K. They have another traditional style Cola and a few other fruit flavored drinks too
As a Scottish person who started school in 1980 and left in 1993, I honestly don’t remember bullying being particularly prevalent. Yes, there were a couple of cliques that thought they were better than everyone else but for the most part there was nothing like you’d see in US films or TV series. Oh and with the whole England winning the World Cup in ‘66 thing, what the English tend to forget, is that their first international match after their win, was against Scotland…who beat them at Wembley, with Jim Baxter (Scotland player) even doing keepie-uppies down the pitch. The match was on the 15th of April 1967 and the final score was England 2 - Scotland 3.
eddy all of the scenery in add num 2 is cartoon scotland stirling castle the famous train across the viaduct same 1 as harry potter movies look close at all the pics oh and the falkirk wheel suprised u didnt notice that 1
Have you seen the Fiery Irn Bru as Ed that's class n'all... Have you found still game last episode season 4 'cold turkey' yet? End of season 5 by the way the special is called 'the party' not 'Hootenanny', that's actually ended of season 6 after Christmas special 'plum number'. 👍
Since A.G.Barr got bought Irn Bru ads have never been the same…in this day and age with cancel culture Irn Bru ads could blow up and Scotland would encourage it 😂
What is up with you tube. This is the 3rd time I've had to subscribe to your channel. For some reason you tube keeps unsubscribing me from your channel. Has this happened to other viewers?
I really like no 14 about the trans guy, "even though I used to be a man". Your occasional Scottish accent is fine and most probably see it as a compliment to Scotland's culture. As we say, G'won yersel big man! And c'mon the hoops! ☘️
Another batch of different irn bru adverts for you, with the snowman part 1 and 2 ru-vid.com/group/PLhdOd70LYUvHty3POKmNFTS7uyqTDlHzQ&si=vJz6-gZXUFxWCn7r
You are ruining the comedy of the videos by pausing repeatedly and stopping the videos halfway through. Why not let the video play through to the end then comment on it.
