I saw your other comment and here is what I said: This is great question! So let it do its mapping and if it can't get over a threshold then turn it on and run it again! --- I would assume it would avoid until you turn it on then map the new section of room!
Hello David. Hope you are doing well. There are 2 area of the hardwood/composite floor on the first floor of my house. The foyer and the kitchen, which are separated by the living room carpet. Will this present an issue in the way that this mopping robot will not cross the carpet area from the kitchen to the foyer? What would be a work around this? Simply lift the unit up and place it in the foyer area? Thank you.
Hello! The iRobot Braava Jet m6 6110 Robot Mop is designed to clean specific areas, so it may not automatically transition from the kitchen to the foyer if there's a carpeted area in between. However, there are a couple of workarounds you can consider. One option is to manually lift the robot mop and place it in the foyer area to clean that section separately. Another option is to create a virtual barrier or use physical barriers like magnetic strips to prevent the robot mop from crossing into the carpeted living room. These methods can help you ensure that the robot mop effectively cleans both the kitchen and foyer areas without venturing onto the carpet. cnl
12:33 just to clarified the machine will go around and clean the edge of the room before moving to the next room. That space between the wall and where is wet is there for now, the machine has not finish the room yet.
thank you for this. the top on mine won't close therefore it pops back up when i try to close it. is there a secret to it...thank you so much...great video! short, sweet, concise!
I dont know how to explain it buy mine used to do that and then it did not. I think the little closing mechanism needs to be wear out to work properly.
The camera navigation in this thing is garbage. Compared to Lidar is slow and needs lights on. More than a third of my cleans end in a cliff sensor error when it get stuck under a chair, or on the edge of a entry carpet or near the trash can for some reason. I watch my shark matrix navigate so much better.. literally while typing this I got a "clear the path" error...
Speed wise I don't think so... but that is something interesting I will see if I can benchmark in future reviews!! It will overlap the mopping area so it would be slower to clean/finish than a Roomba if that is what you are asking!
Totally understand where you are coming from with that comment compared to the competition... but this is still a fantastic mop for what it is! Especially when it is on sale like right now!!!
its funny how people nowadays judge cleaning robots not by cleaning power but by gimmicky mostly useless stuff which actually is quite disgusting. keeping wet mop on robot will smell and spread bacteria no matter if you have a 1500 station which cleans it with 60C or not. heating and a bit washing will not do it. lets combine bacteria, wet and heat... is there any better breading grounds? and then have the stink station right in your living room next to the couch. i will not have such a cleaning station not even if they paid me 1500$.
