@@adriansunburn he can’t accidentally activate it because he needs to kind of go into a meditation to start it up he can’t do it mid fight it takes him a few seconds
Nope. I hope they recast him. Nothing against the actor but the crew said he has a poor work ethic. At least find someone who has passion for the role.
the fight scenes are so slow-paced and unrealistic, plus he scarcely used his power. This show was just a trainwreck, but not every Marvel project is good ig. I do agree that his character should be in the MCU, especially since their bringing Daredevil back in the Echo series. Hopefully they'll cast someone better, though.
@@R7v4 not "the crew", just one person said that, and they didn't even say Finn's name. And it's not his fault that he couldn't train more. He wanted to, but he was only cast a month before filming for season 1 began and only given 3 weeks to train. And his filming schedule made it difficult for him to continue. He tried using his days off to continue his martial arts and weight training (a day and a half per week), but it wasn't enough. Which again, is Marvel Television's fault, not Finn's. He showed that he was more than willing to put in the work when given the proper amount of time to prepare, like for season 2.
I never watched the show due to poor reviews, but after watching this video, I think the action scenes looked quite good.. NOT IMPRESSIVE I know it needs some polishing, but still.. I don't know how did the story play out it might be the story which wasn't good enough.. But action sequence I will give it a solid 6 or 7 out of 10..
Actually the cast had little time to practice fro the season 1 but for the season 2 they had more time....thats why season 2 was much better than season 1
@@marvelpugs6964 they were complaining that a show about martial arts didnt had asian actor as main character. What a bunch of racist stereotipe believers.
He,s a martial artist, in martial arts, you use your legs a good amount of time, if not for attacking, its for readjusting your foot work. besides, it would be too predictable if Danny just insisted on punching all of his enemies 24/7.
His fighting style is sort of interesting (not very aggressive, turning power of his opponents back onto them), but the camera and the cuts are just NOT doing him any favors. Also, the distinct lack of using his Iron Fist just makes the show look like it's about some dude who fights really well when he's drunk.
Iron Fist is Iron Fist because he has an Iron Fist. If Iron Fist wasn't Iron Fist then who is Iron Fist? I still think it's Iron Fist because of his Iron Fist 👊
Why are people complaining about Iron Fist being white? They obviously have never read a comic in their life or they would know IF has always been white
it should be called ironfist origins because people here don't realize he isn't 100% yet. 10:12 was probably 50% of what the true iron fist is capable of.
The fight is really awkward sometimes,it’s a waste for a title “iron fist”, and Daniel always act like he taking too much drug can’t control himself, you spent 15 years in the mountains to control your anger ,this is hilarious
TBF, he never was taught to control his anger. Only to put it aside or use it in order to use violence effectively. All that unattended trauma as well as being disconnected of the basic human connection lead to him being angst and angry a lot this season. Thank goodness season 2 and Luke cage made him better.
@@csteelproductions2186 that’s the point he never taught to control anger ,15 years training ,spending time with the monk, move in the city like mental problems person, I just finished season 2,I’m glad the fighting is a lot of improve and Davos actor is the worse acting in season 2 lol
Nah that’s Marvel Studios. Marvel TV and Fox never really overused SFX and VFX (Jean Grey’s telekinesis, Black Bolt’s sonic power, Iron Fist’s fist, etc.) Compare how Marvel TV and Marvel Studios used VFX and SFX for Black Bolt’s power in Inhumans and Doctor Strange
Iron fist is supposed to be like basically the best martial artist in all of marvel comics like every style ever known to man he knew how to do but this looks like some random white guy who got drunk and fought his way out of a bar
@@silveriver9 fr you can tell the actor doesn’t know how to do martial arts , He looks sloppy as shit , Iron fist martial arts is only challenged by Shang chi in the comics and no one else comes close to them
@@godusopp2752 True. They did Iron Fist an ultimate disservice. Wow they fucked this up. He’s supposed to be top 2 martial artists like you said but not one fight in this show was competent or convinced me at all that he’s a martial artist. And he only has 1 fist that glows like what the fuck. And can only use it from time to time. That’s such nonsense. In the comics his arms become like fiery and that shit is insanely powerful and he’s like another Bruce Lee so to speak he’s fuckin awesome in the comics. Can’t he like conjure the power of that dragon or some shit too?
@Keys andFood No its not that was more of a joke but even tho drunken fist exist thats not what he was using. If you are suposed to be doing drunken fist then I can see how it would look a little sloppy but his form is waaaaaaaay off for someone who is supposed to be one of the best to ever try martial arts
That's because it takes a lot out of him, dude. It's like how Daredevil gets very tired after a fight. The Iron Fist takes a lot of endurance out of him, but if he focuses long enough, he can do it for as long as he wants. Take a good long look at 2:59, he's focusing, but it's also taking out all the energy he's got in him.
The main stunt co-ordinator for Iron Fist, Brett Chan, did an interview recently talking about "having an actor who didn't wanna train". He also described Jessica Henwick as the real deal cos she trained with them for 4 hours a day, even if she was filming.
That's awesome! I can tell for sure that Jessica henwick wanted to train due to her amount of time and effort in the shows fight scenes and solid Choreography. Fin jones is kinda ok at his scenes but I remember an interview I watched where jackie chan said that "Actors with no Martial arts backgrounds have can't fight well" and some of his scenes show very well.
Even if that was the case for season one (which it wasn't. His schedule was too busy) it changed for season two, as Finn went to train with actual Buddhist monks in preparation.
Danny actor sucked ass every scene, drug the entire show down. Ward carried the series, I became a massive fan of the actor, as he's an actual actor as opposed to whoever played Danny character, I wouldn't have a beer with that dude! Felt sorry Henwick had to do scenes with the scrawny I'd knock him out with a bitch slap Danny shit for brains actor
I was so disappointed with this series, and it wasn't because of Finn Jones. In fact, I think Finn makes a great Iron Fist and fits the character very well. What I hated was the writers and the weak story they came up with. I hope Finn comes back with better writing and the series takes huge steps forward.
As a street-level Marvel comics fan you really want this to be good. But, it just wasn’t. Season 2 was a hell of an improvement though. I advise anyone to completely skip Season 1 and go straight to the Defenders, then to Luke Cage Season 2, and THEN to Iron Fist Season 2 👌🏻
“With great power comes great responsibilities” imagine being hit with an actual iron fist going full force. If you watch mma then you know fracis ngannou vs alístair overeem. Francis has the most powerful punch in the world its said that if you get hit by him going full force it’s the same amount of force as swinging a sledgehammer over your head. And if you didn’t think that was scary enough it’s said that if Francis connects with his main hand it is the same amount of force as getting hit by an suv going as fast as it can. So I think it’s ok if the iron fists uses his other limbs😂
Yeah, the same director is making an untitled Disney+ series which will most likely either be about Xialing, another shangchi side charecter, or Iron fist
@@Balake_MK not true. He did train. He was only given 3 weeks beforehand to train. There's literally footage of him training with the season 2 stunt team on Netflix's RU-vid channel .
I’m actually hoping Iron Fist shows up in the Shang-Chi sequel. They’ve teamed up before in comics and the Shang-Chi film had similar cultures to Iron Fist
@Mohammad Caleb you’re really trying SO HARD to take peoples information and money for your own evil purposes aren’t you. You made 3 fake accounts and replied to yourself. You’re that lonely. Get a job.
The reason was he only had 15 minutes to train before filming fight sequences because the schedule was so tight, idk if I should call it bullcrap or agree to his reason
@@luvromanoff6343 which is also why he had more time to train for Season 2, as his schedule wasn’t so tight. Which is why they show his face more during the fights in Season 2
problem was Finn Jones look was right and acting was good but he didnt know martial arts!!! You can't have iron fist with an actor who didnt train- aint happening.
People remember Iron Fist season was overly looked at because they focused more on Punisher instead. Season 2 major upgrade Finn jones really Does Danny right. Also great seeing Danny in action
@@1stMarDiv4341 Me when my favorite movie doesn't get any attention for more than 2 minutes.. Yeah i watched the John Wick movies and they're good. I guess that's what you wanted to hear, right?
Bruh Old kung fu movies from the 70s had more competent choreography than this trash Hell…….echo had better fight scenes than this Hell,Shang chi’s one fight scene on the bus had more kung fun action than this whole season
Do billy Russo best fight and killing scenes from the punisher both season 1 and 2 and especially do John pilgrim season 2 punisher best fight and killings
I love how you can see where there were cameras placed for super cool long takes for fights e.g. that first top down view in the elevator fight would've made an amazing long shot but they had to smash cut every fight because the actor cannot do fight scenes from not training. Not to mention how slow his movements are, they look like shots that'd come from a test run-through
After 3:46 all the fight scenes (except for the awkward nunchuck moments and the weird final fight with an unintimidating opponent) most are at least 7/10 some even are 8/10. Not bad. The first couple fights are awkwardly filmed/edited and Finn's lack of training really shows beacause of it but it's clear he got better at the choreography as the series goes on. Every fight should've been at least an 8 tho (Iron Fist is supposed to be one of the greatest fighters in all of comics not just Marvel).
@@veggiewillymassthat you defend this terrible showing of action choreography Shang chi one bud fight trumped all of these fights combined Hell echo actually looks more competent than these fights
I came in expecting him to be a literally fister who's gonna forces his way out of trouble, but I kind of like his style of not using much force and manuvers, parry, disarm or such.
Lin Li is the new Iron Fist in the comics and it's gotten me wondering how that would be. Especially with Dr. Strange by his side at the time when Lin Li was Sword Master.
I think this show suffered from Finn's lack of training. From what I read dude learned fighting techniques like weeks before shooting, and because most of the show his face was uncovered preventing the show from having a stunt double do the fighting he had to do the fighting himself which looked clunky and the added a lot of jump cuts.
@Zam Marvel not true it got a second season and if it wasn’t for the Netflix and Disney dead things could have gone differently hell they axed all the other shows too
Nope They were completely fair Hardly any reviewer hated it cause the actor was white They hated it cause the show friggin sucked And don’t give me that “well it’s better than modern marvel” A shiny turd is still a turd in a pile of them
Lol “Netflix Iron Fist have better action sequences than Shang chi” said no one ever, opinions matter but anyone can see how the choreography and editing of the fights is smoother than anything Netflix did for Iron fist (I won’t put daredevil into comparison since they’re going for a more realistic approach)
