This is a fantastic Lance Egan pattern
Iron Lotus material list:
Size 14 hook (can be tied in various sizes)
2.8 gold tungsten bead
Lead wire
Olive and red thread
CDL
Silver brassy wire
Peacock Black Ice Dub
This is my first fly tying tutorial. I am certainly not a professional fly tier but I thought if I started making my own videos I could improve upon my skills. If you have any tips or would like me to tie anything else, let me know in the comments. Hope you enjoy!

Add biot tails and it's basically a bead-headed Prince Nymph. A fly that has been crushing it 30 years.

Yes! The bead headed prince is an amazing pattern that can mimic a mayfly or a stonefly. The Iron Lotus I have used to mimic a mayflies and it has been extremely effective at imitating caddis larva.

I mean, every fly is basically something else when you start adding to it or taking stuff off😂 Sometimes it seems like there are really only a handful of necessary patterns/color and the rest are just so my fly boxes look pretty with some variety😂

Not going to lie I am using a cannon handy cam from like 2012. I definitely need to upgrade soon so I can get better quality footage. How do you feel the current quality is?
