Steve Harris is the bedrock of IM. He hits those strings hard and in-time. The guitars and the vocal better follow suit. Otherwise, big trouble backstage after the show.
I was there in Dortmund 1983...miss this Time so much ! I'm now 60 YEARS OLD (BORN 1960 in GERMANY) Greets/Grüße from GERMANY/DEUTSCHLAND...to ALL Rock Fans around the World ! -STAY SAVE- in this Bad Times of Covid19/Corona Virus !!! 😷🤟🙏
Greetings from the USA! I'm 51 and saw this concert on German TV in 1983. My dad, retired US Army, rented a PAL system TV so I could watch. What an amazing event! My dad, brother, and I saw amazing concerts in Germany in the 1980s, including Iron Maiden (twice), Accept (twice), Deep Purple (1985) and the Monsters of Rock 1986 in Mannheim! Keep on rockin!
Actually they both do. When I saw them live back in 83, Murray and Smith were taking turns on solos. Especially playing the dual octave melody simultaneously.
I'm 35 now & from the last 3 decades Iron maiden is my friend, philosopher & guide, one can say a life support system....I want to announce my gratitude and love for picking me up from the floor everytime when life pushed me down!!!
I’m 70 years old now, loved the name “Iron Maiden” and have followed them from the very start. Paul Di’ Anno was good as their frontman at first, but Bruce’s vocals really fit in better with the band.
Saw them not once, but twice in Costa Rica. These were with the biggest IM die-hard fan ever known: My Youngest brother. He past away in 2018, and every time I listen to IM, I remember him because it was his favorite band. RIP Kevin. Up the Irons!!
I saw them play this live in Hollywood Fla back in 83, and they sounded exactly like this, with both Murray and Smith playing dual melody sounded just like if they were in the studio recording. Astounding acoustics.
My first tour for “the greatest band of all time” was The Beast and every tour up to and including Book of Souls. From Monsters of Rock to Super Rock…was great being in the military and stationed all over the globe. And to think…Steve has every single performance recorded! Up The Irons 🤘🤘🤘
Because Bruce is such a fcking powerhouse It still sounds incredible without his layered vocal harmonies on the chorus, but it’s a shame no one in the band could sing those behind him. It’s the only thing, missing from the album. They needed a Michael Anthony

Anyway, unusual team metal bands usually use a lot of Gibsons, and the fact that there are two fenders, and the front man is Steve Harris, not vocalist Bruce Dickinson.
Make sure there are no sharp corners or anything you might hit your head on lying around your chair on the floor before I say the following....This band is not in the rock hall of fame.
I get frustrated with the crap production of the newer studio albums , every song over 10 minutes with boring intro/outro They are not going to change now but they desperately need a fresh producer who can lay down the law
