@Sam Bruce - I agree, the sound is amazing. At several points, I even forgot this was a live performance ( don´t judge me, ok? I actually understand a bit about music xDxD But today I am all sad and alone in my bedroom, drinking and smoking...And listening to Iron Maiden spngs, because my crazy-AF punk-rock girlfriend (of a year) can´t decide if we should break up or not... So, basically... F. you all,. and f. all of your fathers too. F. every person walking down the street today, f. every plant, every house. F. the entire world @Creative Underground: Not you, tho. Thanks for the content! We will speak back tomorrow, when I turn into a non-insane adult again! Up the Irons!
@@gabrielp9646 Been there. It gets better. Girls will come and go, Maiden and great music will never leave you! Be well my friend, and thanks for your kind words.
Almost 53 years old and been following this band since 83. 40 years and counting. Countless hours listening to them and I would gladly do it all over again. Best years of my life my teenage years, with no internet, getting all the news reading import magazines and waiting patiently till the albums were finally released and being capable to buy a copy to finally discover what the boys were up to. Those were the days. The best metal band that ever was and ever will be. Up the fucking Irons !!
Yeah I never would have thought discovering the Number of the beast as 14yr old in 82,that 40 years later I would be enjoying that music even more today!
53 too! My first contact with IM was by Killers album on the cassette tape. I was shocked by the cover and the music seemed too thick for my ears. However, this quickly straightened out after a few auditions.
54 here. I can remember going to the import record store to buy the European singles, which had B-sides unavailable in North America. I basically paid the equivalent of $50 in today's money to have "Total Eclipse" in my collection. Totally worth it.
My girlfriend and I saw them the day before, and she got mad at me that i was singing word for word the whole time lol what an amazing concert and the fact that they can still put on these epic shows, with set and costume changes, at 60+ is staggering. Up the Irons!!!
That's great that you're such a big fan....but....I would hate to be the person sitting next to you singing word for word the while time. You buy a ticket to hear the band play/sing, not you
@@jonathandaley3768 i hate to break it to you, but it's not a private concert.....there are thousands of people doing the exact same thing. That's kindof the point of going to a live concert; the atmosphere, i.e. getting to see your favorite band along with everyone else and singing along.
Nobody wants to hear a duet with Dickinson and some dude who goes to a concert and wants to show people around that he knows all the lyrics. If you wanna sing, fine, but sing to yourself moving the lips at a very low volume, don't let people around hear your voice. People should only sing out loud when required by the front-man.
@@livemusicjkd7703 rock in rio? Santiago, Chile? Those crowds sing every song. Got to disagree with you on that. In NJ and DC this year, most fans were singing along. It’s part of the Iron Maiden tradition
A band that actually plays everything note for note LIVE- no pre recorded gimmicks or anything. Yeah there's a mistake here and there, that's expected it's all LIVE. Amazing how they still get that Maiden sound even live at a loud volume. Up the irons!!💯💥👍
Saw them at the United Center in Chicago, it was sold out of course. Crowd went nuts, and it's crazy to see the energy of this band who are in their 60s
It's called a mixing desk and the sound engineer does all the control that's how it works. And it can take all day going through different channels. From individual rehearsals to the end of the show. Has to be 100 % throughout.
And correct me if i am wrong, but they also never change the key. Always the same key as the album, which would be brutal for bruce... but he nails it.
Since I ever heard 'Flight of Icarus', I am amazed the depth of wisdom in the lyrics, that they wrote and sang along so young. The son dies believeing his father betrayed him, however - as we know - warned him not to be so careless... So great that I grew up/older with the band - which actually does not get older at all. (And this song is my second best of Maiden following 'Wasted Years'. This latter one is the best song ever amongst any to me.)
There's just nothing like a Maiden show, is there!! I've never been in a Maiden crowd where everyone you meet is just instantly your friend, there's something really special there. The *only* downside is that the post gig blues last for days afterwards!

Bruce sunds as great as ever...this dude is a machine! And the energy is never lacking, the timing of the band in lockstep as usual...huge drums, stadium showmen that have not fallen to the faded image of what once was, but rather they are as good as ever. THIS IS RARE
Thank you so much for your kind words. It made all the back-ache worthwhile 😁 You know you’re getting old when just holding a phone out for 2 hours locks your back up! 😂
I was at that show to see them for the 8th time. I was with my wife and youngest son who brought his wife. She had never seen them before and was completely blown away. I think this was the best I've heard Bruce sing in over a decade. Killer show. Now hoping on this new tour which they are adding Somewhere in Time as a focus will come to America 🤞🤘🤘
Saw them thrice this tour (four if you count 2019) and every time I see a song or set from a diff city, it’s just as amazing. Thanks for this upload and up the irons!
Going to see them in September in Calgary. It will be my 3rd Maiden concert, but the first time on the floor! I hope to get some great close up pictures of Bruce and the boys! And I hope to hear Alexander the Great and The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner.
I saw this tour in Austin last September. Seen IM 5-6x live. Awesome. You better go see all these old school rockers before they retire or no longer can play at a high level. What I would do to go back to 1980-89.
For a Brazilian it's funny to see the audience so... still.... come to a concert here in Brazil or other countries in South America (Chile, Argentina)... the difference is brutal
Got to say the sound is fantastic. I wasn’t a fan of Bruce’s voice and always preferred the Paul’s voice and the first two albums, however I would definitely pay to see Maiden on this showing. Set design and changes excellent. Thanks for upload.
Old but still going. Glad they didn't change their lyrics in (Run To The Hills) and used Redskins, and Indians (Ingen). And being in Washington DC nonetheless 😃👍💪
Been a fan of Maiden since I was 8. I've seen them 14 times and will see them 3 times on the upcoming future past tour. They are my favorite band by far. But ACES HIGH is not a show closure. Open the show or the first encore with it.🤘🤘🤘
if you turn off the sound and watch Yanick the first 6 minutes its hard to tell if you're watching a rock show or a river dance folk performance............
Seeing Maiden in Brazil is a bucket list item for me. I don’t know why the US has become so reserved. Being in the GA / pit helps a lot. I saw them from the pit about 15 years ago and it was a totally different experience, but it’s never gonna be the Brazil experience! Up the irons my friend!
Would love to see them back to back the sign of the cross then rhymeof the ancient mariner. That might be epic. Lime 2 minutes to midnight followed by Aces High.
I was always in awe of the Maiden. They never mailed it in. The performance is important to them. They strive to give a quality live show. No matter the money, venue, crowd energy. They bring it every single night and that is so refreshing for a metal fan. No piped in backing tracks or lip sync bullshit. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them 8 times and meeting the band once. If I had the money I would just follow the tour every time they hit the road. Always a kick ass show.
This comment right here has made my life complete! I’m actually a music producer that specializes in mixing and mastering audio productions so take my concert audio really seriously - especially when it’s a band that I’ve loved for as long as Maiden. Seeing a message like this makes all that effort worthwhile! Did you check out my Lamb of God concert remaster? Up the Irons!!
Okay, this is going to sound so freaking crazy. I saw Maiden in 1983 in Jackson Ms. It was a triple bill. I.M. opened then Krokus then 38 Special headlined. How crazy is that lineup?
