Iron Maiden? Oh heck yeah. That deserves a bit more than just a normal thank you. You have ascended to God tier status with this band. Thank you for this reaction 👍
Thanks for posting! Was looking forward to this one. :) As for the next Maiden Live performance to look at, Check out "Dance of Death" En Vivo! Perfect combination of a beautiful melodic intro that leads to an absolute banger with 3 face melting guitar solos. This is one of the best live Maiden performances. Bruce's storytelling in this one is like no other. Bruce Dickinson at his best in my opinion. Edit: This one is a long one as well but I promise you will be locked in for the whole song. :) "Fear of the Dark" Rock in Rio is another live that is a must.
@@andreymichell4000 I just watched that version again and the videography is awesome. I have to admit I liked it better. I just like Bruce’s performance and the guitar solos in the en vivo version better, though. Both awesome performances, no doubt!
@@James_Russell I agree with you friend, I like the Death on The Road version better because I think the performance is similar to the studio album, but of course with all the elements of a live show
I don't know what gave me goose bumps at the beginning, the music or your reaction to the music! I've heard this song so many times and it never gets old. You had a great reaction, and I always have to smile when I find someone who can listen to this for the first time. I loved that you could just close your eyes during the reaction and just feel the music. Nice work!!
Glad you're discovering Maiden. They are one of the greatest. By the way, a little bit of trivia. Did you know that Bruce Dickinson (singer for Maiden) is a huge Deep Purple fan, and has performed with them on occasion?
They were my favorite band as a teenager and this was one of my favorite songs by them. I'll never forget the first time I heard it. I had just bought the cassette tape off a friend for $5 and was listening to it on my Walkman with headphones on the bus on the way home from school. It had been raining. The song sounded so intense to me as a 14 year old and when the guitar solos came in I was amazed! I had never heard something quite like that. I just kept rewinding it and listened to it more after the bus dropped us off and I walked the rest of the way to my house. I'm 52 now and I still haven't forgotten how it made me feel.
This one rates as my fourth best live presentation. It is a slightly dark musical narrative but the arrangements and vocals are spot on especially the intro. Its interesting and rare when there is a musical shine like this one too. Great stuff Rebeka.
Bruce dickinson is on a whole level higher then axl rose. In the beginning of the song he holds that note for so long. He is incredible. Rob halford and ronnie james dio are the 2 that are in the same league as bruce
Iron maiden - Dance of Death (studio or live en vivo) Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark (studio or live en vivo) Iron Maiden - Powerslave (studio or live) Iron Maiden - the Rime of ancient Mariner (studio or live USA) Iron Maiden - Blood Brothers (studio or live) Iron Maiden - Phantom of the Opera (studio with Paul Di’Anno on vocals or live with Bruce on vocals) Iron Maiden - Alexander the great (studio. And there’s nearly no live version) Iron Maiden - Seventh Son of a seventh Son
Здравствуйте,Ребекка. Я из России.Айрон Мейден слушаю с детства по причине,что в то время пластинки были запрещены к ввозу из-зарубежных стран. KGB .
this is Bruce (the singer) first album he did with the band, from here they get just better and better! (Before Bruce band was more raw with fast pieces, punkish style singing of Paul was phenomenal too)
Hi Rebecca yesterday I suggested Def Leppard I thought it was more Iron Maiden sound how to reflect moron it's more of a journey type in music real good. Have a great day Rebecca
I'm pretty sure I seen this in the early 80s I used to live in New Haven Connecticut which a lot of bands came through if you like this band you would also like Def Leppard. Same type of heavy metal music. The lead singer I thought has a very clean-cut voice and can he ever sing to high note. I agree to guitar playing with but check out Def Leppard band I think you would like it
If you love haunting song's check out Rammsteins Main Hertz Brent (official video) and then check out Main Hertzs Brent (piano 🎹 Vision ) the same song but totally different. Creeperly spooky yet so beautiful.
I'm usually not one to "simp" but I have to say that you are ont stunningly beautiful youtuber!! Enjoyed your reaction!! Up The Irons!! By the way, GsR and IM don't really get along. In my opinion, there is no comparison. Anyway, Up The Irons!! 🤘🤘
The Best Live Version Of This Classic From Maiden, Sorry But Bruce Dickinson Is On Another Level Vocally Compared To Axl Rose, Bruce Still Sounds Good Today, The Same Can Not Be Said For Axl Rose His Voice Is Shot To Bits Now and Has Been For About 20 Years, Bruce Dickinson and Axl Rose Will Never Perform Together? Axl Rose Made Some Derogitary Comments About Maidens Music In an Interview In The Late 80's I Believe, Since Then Their Has Been No Love Lost Between These Two Men and Bands.
You’re so correct. I use to love Guns and Roses but I never was inspired to see them in concert. I really loved Maiden and saw them in Philly more then once. Axl can be an arrogant jerk and you reap what you sow . Maiden is Bad Ass, they are all great . Bruce is on another level . There is not even a word created for him. I consider Bruce and Freddie the all time best rock vocalist. Queen and Maiden both are in another level. More I saw this song live from a few years ago where Bruce has his hair short. I think he’s in his 60s and he still hitting those notes. That’s just unheard of.
Best classic metal vocalist Bruce, Halford and Dio, props to Tate and Ozzy as well. Axl is where near any of those as far as vocalist. Axl was a good frontman in his day but not iconic in my humble opinion.
Hello...Rebeka,good you're react 👍 Recomended for you 🙏 come you're check it out,3Girls hijab rock heavy metalism band from Indonesia 🇮🇩 #voiceofbaceprot VoB:God,allow me (please) to play music 'OMV' this amazing band, unique, and talentted the young ladies 🤘🔥 i waiting for you. #VoBfansBase🇮🇩🤘☕
You want hunting Listen to King Diamond. When you get back to the Lynyrd Skynyrd, listen to Simple Man and give me three steps. By the way they're called southern rock not rock mix with country but actually you can sort of say that a little bit but I hate country and I love Lynyrd Skynyrd so by saying the way you did is not really too accurate just Lynyrd Skynyrd southern rock. It should say that I'm the genre then get back to my number one band with the number one drummer, bass player who also sings and plays more Bass with his feet and synthesizer with his hands, then you got Alex the guitar/all filling the most versatile shredding, Musical guitarist band called Rush. Above all the rest. Three people never broke apart.
Yeah Axl Rose screams. Bruce Dickinson sings. Axel would look like a fool up against Bruce. No comparison and singing technique. They're not even in the same class of singers
I like guns and roses for what they are, but to compare Axl to Bruce and even want to see them in a duet... ya lost me there, Bruce is sooo much better then Axl there not even in the same book! I just found your channel and I will dig deeper into it but... I guess we shall see.
I hate this version. I know Bruce sounds as well as in the studio recording but Iron Maiden is way much better since reunion in 2000. Maybe Bruce's voice is not the same but his showmanship is 100x better since reunion.
The song title is Hallowed Be Thy Name. Most Maiden fans would probably say is the best version of the song on RU-vid. Bruce on vocals, Steve on bass, Dave and Adrian on guitar and Clive on Drums. Sorry but I put Bruce Dickinson above Axl Rose as a vocalist. This is probably Iron Maiden's most popular song and one that I've seen the most reacted to on You Tube. The next Maiden songs to check out - Rime of the Ancient Mariner (Live Flight 666) and Fear of the Dark (Rock in Rio 2001) Onto Queensryche - Take Hold of the Flame and Black Sabbath Children Of The Sea (Dio) Other great live performances to check out - Alter Bridge - Blackbird Live at Amsterdam and Frank Marino Somethings Comin' Our Way Live at the Agora Theatre and Helloween - How Many Tears (Live in Wacken 2018)
Kudos to whomever mixed the audio on this, and thank you for not burying the bass in the mix. If I had a dollar for every time Steve Harris kicked my ass while learning Iron Maiden songs on bass, I'd be a very rich man.
Guns and Roses were Iron Maidens support band back in the day when they were starting off. Axl at the time made some comments about Maidens style that he didn't like. Maiden were and always have been a massive band and Guns and Roses benefitted from their tour I believe. Bruce is still going strong vocally and Axl not so much now.
Axl's live vocals were hit or miss 30 years ago. Bruce doesn't have the superhuman sustain he had back in 1982 but he still sings the songs well on tour now.
I always watch reactions to this song because it is epic. Ive seen a couple of dozen reactions. Only 1 time, it was a 13 year old reactor, he stopped the video and said "listen to that bass, that dude is killing it." He is right, Harris kills his bass every time.
How cool was that, they were damn good on the first 2 albums but once they got Adrian Smith on 2nd lead guitar and Bruce Dickinson on vocals they exploded, what you just saw is a rocket taking off from a launching pad, they have been cruising the galaxy ever since. Pick pretty much anything in their catalog and it is worth a listen, enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶
Try Rime of the Ancient Mariner from their Flight 666 tour: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2AmrIydnXIs.html Or Fear of the Dark live, The Clansman live from Rock in Rio.. So much more to discover :)
Oh yeah. Definitely the best version. Amazing range of Bruce Dickinson. Axle has a good voice. But not even close to the range of Bruce. He's known as Bruce 'The Air-Raid Siren" for a reason. 🤣
Bruce Dickinson (vocals) of Iron Maiden is a quintessential heavy metal singer, who was nicknamed 'Air Raid Siren' for his high vocal range... He just replaced Maiden's first singer Paul Di'Anno in 1981 and this was his first record (Maiden's 3rd - 'The number of the beast' in 1982) ... The concert was filmed in Hammersmith Odeon in London in 1982 on the tour for 'The number of the beast' (which charted at #1 in the UK and went platinum in the USA). Steve Harris (bass) wrote the song from the viewpoint of a convict before his execution... Maiden was sued in 2018 for plagiarism of the lyrics, and the band settled out of court, and has performed this song routinely in their setlist since 1982. The guitars of Dave Murray and Adrian Smith are truly remarkable... that dual-lead attack made Iron Maiden a potent live band. Sadly, the drummer here (Clive Burr) was fired in 1983 and he passed away in 2013 (R.I.P.) ... Nicko McBrain (drums) replaced Burr in 1983 and is still Maiden's drummer today. U could do more songs from this record - 'The number of the beast'... 'The Prisoner'... 'Children of the damned'... 🤘🤘🔥🔥
Best show for Bruce's vocals in quality as his voice isn't so beat up from touring. Also check out Wasted Years, fear of the Dark, & Rime of the Ancient Mariner to start. So many hits from this band. Choose wisely. LOL. Bruce did do a "due" w/ Rob Halford (of Judas Pries) in Rob's band Halford w/ "The One You Love To Hate." (Not quite an equal duet (more Rob than Bruce), but enough to call it one).
i actually despise axl rose. cannot say why, but the hatred is there. it pretty much killed me when sir axl took over for Brian Johnson on what may have been AC/DC's last tour. thankfully they got back together to release a most epic album but i am filled with anguish that perhaps axl was the singer on the final tour. just sayin'. that being said..... to compare axl to Bruce Dickerson?????? why, how, what, who, when, where? that comparison is beyond my scope of reasoning. just sayin', again. no dis intended.
You cannot compare guns and roses to IRON MAIDEN. MAIDEN is far better then gnr, there is no comparison, MAIDEN just rocks, gnr is super lame. UP THE IRONS.
Up the irons.. Great reaction Rebeka.. Iron Maiden rule!!!! Here is one for you, Japanese all female metal band Nemophila with the song RAITEI.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lh-dVLKP314.html Girl power on a whole new level.. Best wishes from France
Great reaction. Gotta love iron maiden. There is alot of material from these guys. Piece of mind, number of the beast, and poweslave are perfection from beginning to end
Yeah, iron maiden is truly one of the greats I think what you should react to next is dream theater now they are truly a great fucking band. I think what you should react to next is Octavarium by Dream Theater. That song is a fucking masterpiece. It will blow the musical fusion out your butt.
it's Hollowed be thy Name .... I remember buying this album when it was release ... the song is about he's about to be hanged ...so the last hour of his life - he grants this --- Hollowed by Thy Name .... as for Axle Rose singing with this band --- no way on this God's green earth ... Axle is a loser in a preppy band -- this band is a metal band and their songs are different from the get-go ....
Sorry, why do I care what this woman thinks of Iron Maiden? For those of you lapping this up, she is pretending, she uses you and your love of Iron Maiden to generate subs. It’s as cringe as it gets.
