@@zarathos5922 It isn't aiming at Christians in general. It is more about famously hypocritical evangelists, who were worried about metal music being evil. While they were taking money from people in the name of god, living large and running around with prostitutes. Iron Maiden have always seemed to respect beliefs in their lyrics, but question what people do in the name of that belief. Thats one of the things I love about them.That is just my take on it anyway.. no disrespect to your comment. 🤘

IIRC the story about this music video is that they were contractually obligated to make another music video for this album, didn't really want to but the record label insisted, so they half-assed this little production just to make the label quit bothering them about it.

Classic video and song that must've been very fun for the band to make. Also for those of you who don't know, the guy that all the ladies keep grabbing at and the guy driving the tractor is Martin Birch, who was the producer (who also engineered and mixed) for Maiden on Killers through Fear of the Dark, and for many other bands/artists as well. Hilarious and awesome that he got in on this video.

I loved this on my first listen too when it came out. Been a Maiden fan since I was 14 and Number Of The Beast came out. However, I kind of tired of all the epic songs they did after the Powerslave album and like the shorter stuff. Don't get me wrong, Hallowed Be Thy Name is an ABSOLUTE CLASSIC! I just like shorter songs in the 3 to 5 minute range. Number Of The Beast is my favorite by them.

It took me a while to fall in love with this song, as it doesn't sound as epic as the songs from "The Number of the Beast" up "to Seventh Son of a Seventh Son". Their songs were absolutely EPIC in those 5 albums! Specially the long and awesome songs like "Hallowed Be Thy Name", "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" and "Alexander the Great"! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

The greatest of the NWOBHM bands, Iron Maiden outgrew that passing fad and proved that Heavy Metal could be taken as seriously as any other musical genre. They are one of the most exciting Metal bands to see live along with Judas Priest & Metallica. Iron Maiden has certain things that most HM bands lack: talent, originality, creativity, and most of all, an intense live show.

How anyone can't love this band is beyond me! You just can't help but feel happier when you watch this and anyone ragging on the video cos it's low budget doesn't really know Maiden. And what a great track too, Sir David Murray on absolute fire as always with a killer solo!!

Thing is, this video made me want to play bass, play guitar, drum, sing. A lot of the bands I liked at the time didn't move around much on stage and they played with rather serious looks on their faces. Iron Maiden made everything look fun.

Songs like this are why Maiden are a great band. Not one of their famous songs, a forgotten single off a forgotten album but it's a stone cold CLASSIC.

Yeah they kinda came back with some decent albums when Bruce and Adrian joined back up. Although some of the songs with Blaze were alright, it was never as good as anything they could've done with Bruce, and they also missed out on Adrian's songwriting to imo.OverlordSheepie

Sincerely, their best video ever !!!! The mesmerizing music, guitars harmonic mix, dazzling lyrics, and look at the guys, so happy, playful, and downright stunning...this is a proof of what metal is, and should be, I simply love it !!!!
