Thomas, not only I am a huge Maiden fan for over 30 years now, but a guitar player in the process and I just loved how you make their songs sound as yours. Looking forward to seeing you live someday soon. Up Thomas and Up the Irons 🤘👍💯
Just think Bruce wanted this to be an acoustic album, That would have ruined it & Back in 1986? NO WAY. I got into Maiden in 1986 from this Album. thankfully it was done right. ( i do love this though )
Wasn't sure what to expect but holy fuck, just finished Caught Somewhere in Time and you've nailed it completely, love how you really capture all of the defining moments of the song and show that you absolutely care. Stellar stuff!
My respect and admiration for these magnificent flamenco arrangements of brilliant songs by the mighty Iron Maiden. They're a pleasure to listen to, and a refreshing way to rediscover Maiden's musical universe. Congrats and up the Irons !
From a life-long Maiden fan since 1984 I am blown away by your reverence to the original material. I'm glad you have put your great musicianship towards honoring this great band. Thank you so much! ❤️
Wow, this was totally unexpected. I played this album 35 years ago on the cassette player in our car with my long deceased father in tow, who was about 65 years old at the time. Surprisingly, he said the album was alright, or words to that effect. It remains one of my favorites. Bravo!
My favorite maiden album as acoustic, really awesome performance. What many do not now, originally Bruce Dickinson want this album as a acoustic album, but the others didn't want to.
Bruce wanted an acustic album, true. But that was before writing sessions began. So if the band would have decided to go acoustic for their sixth album, it would surely have been much different.
I think Maiden groomed me to love Flamenco music. By the time I found it, the phrygian mode was thoroughly imprinted on me by countless hours listening to Maiden. :) Excellent playing, and great interpretation.
This is one of my most sacred of albums...you have done only justice to the original masterpiece. I can't tell you how I feel hearing it in such a beautifully different way. I wonder has maiden heard this because I'm sure they would appreciate it!
Just goes to show how brilliant iron maiden really are. My favorite band of all time. Fantastic rendition by these 2 amazing musicians to capture the magic and harmonies of this epic record
You really have to be a Somewhere in Time maniac to come up with solo acoustic arrangements like these for this album. I can't imagine how much work that must have been. I still struggle to play the songs and especially the solos in the album versions. Absolutely stunning work!
The violin lady was the star of this masterpiece and I was utterly disappointed in a sense when I realised she was not featured in the entirety of the album. Stellar work, nonetheless, what a performance.
REACH OUT as bonus track tops it all - the essence of one of the most underrated Maiden songs extracted, polished and exposed to its true shine...just beautiful. THANK YOU THOMAS.
Beautiful playing, beautiful scenery, beautiful dogs, and a beautiful young lady...... There is nothing not to like. What a treat! I was already sold seeing "Iron Maiden" in the title and it surpassed any expectations I went in with. Just awesome!!!!
It's incredible how a piece of heavy metal as complete as Somewhere in time can be transmitted from a single instrument. It is hypnotizing, it retains all that strength but at the same time it is subtle. It's what heaven would be like if you were greeted with Iron Maiden music. I love watching how she does postures, it's inspiring that calm combined with so much strength. Thank you for doing such a job, you deserve tremendous credit for this. Greetings from Chile.
O cara meteu o Dire Straits praticamente fazendo um Sultains of madness kkkkk sensacional 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 que coisa linda o solo de Sea of madness mano do céu 😍😍😍😍
Wow, I saw Maiden on this tour twice, once in Germany and 4 weeks later in US. This album has always been special to me, and lately I’ve become a fan of flamenco/classical guitar...This is absolutely epic!
esse álbum é fantástico, uma obra prima, um das melhores melodias, sons e músicas já compostas pelo Iron Maiden!!! Somewhere in Time é uma obra de arte!
Strangely I really like this, it just works on every level with an amazing backdrop. Both of these artists have an immense talent and I’d love to see Iron Maiden endorse them in some way.
I really hope, the Band has already seen this awesome piece of work you did to their masterpiece Somewhere in Time. Especially Adrian Smith would surely admire your guitar work.
Thomas, You truely are the maiden acoustic master Your passion is incredible Been listening to you for a while now and I'm continually blown away by your interpretation of classic maiden songs. Adrian,Dave and Janick would be proud.🤟
My fav Maiden album. Way underatted. 1986, I was 17 and just starting to go out drinking and chatting up girls LOL...good times and great memories. Why oh why have they never done Alexander live is beyong me? Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner is fantastic and Sea Of Madness, Stranger, Wasted etc great stuff. Lastly, that Blade Runner '86/'87 tour stage set up. Fantastic!! A shame it wasn't filmed but - of course as Steve Harris said - they'd just filmed the Powerslave tour. Nice post and guitar playing Thomas.
For starters... the music is always incredible. Then you combine it with amazing locations and filmography and really turn it into something unique and special. Well done! The mood you set with your videos is unparalleled. A true tribute to Maiden. UP THE IRONS 🤘
This is jaw-dropping stuff. One of my favourite albums played like never before, and in perfect locations. Makes me want to grab my guitar and practise... a lot.
Holy smokes nice wrk Mr. Thomas and the beautiful dogs very impressed scenery awsome easy listening. The boys from Maiden must be so proud you nailing there classic tunes on the classical gitaur. Keep it up so amazed heavy tunes customized acoustisized beautiful Thomas
Estou sem palvaras diante de tamanha perfeição musical 🤐 Q esse disco é sensacional e estupendo, não temos dúvidas. Mas essa versão acústica trás paz aos ouvidos e mente...ficou transcendental! 🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
An exquisite adaptation. You have captured the essence of the Maiden masterfully. I guess you must like iron Maiden a lot. One of his best albums without a doubt. A sublime work, my congratulations.
As a long time Maiden fan, Dejavu and Sea of Madness are two of their underrated songs I like the most. You did a pretty good rendition of them. Loved it!
