@@raphaelgodinne4119 I hear you. Stranger in a strange Land was never a song that caught my attention much, but to each his own. It sounded great in this video though. I'll take another listen and focus on that solo. I know Alexander the Great has more than one solo but they kind of blend together right before the ending. Here's another one of my favorites, you might say there's more than one solo but, "Book of souls". what do you think of that guitar solo?
@@raphaelgodinne4119 ... By the way I just listened to stranger in a strange Land guitar solo it's great but way too short only 30 seconds. I want to hear more of that... Solo in book of souls takes you on epic journey 🤣
@@radvlad1431 I like this one too but for longer solos, I prefer something like Seventh Son of a seventh son. If I had to list all my favorite adrian's solo, it s something like 80% of what it plays haha. But I really loves - Stranger in a strange land - Different world - Dance of death - No more lies - Reach out (and his voice is awesome) - Alexander the Great - Seventh son of a seventh Son - Wasted Years - and ... all of his solos :P
I was there that night with my family. Few tears in my eyes when Smithy played that solo, great player. Just 17 when that album came out, remember buying it on the release date (on vinyl, on course)
"It was many years ago" that I received my first Iron Maiden record, Somewhere in Time. While the album itself was released in '86, I got it for my tenth birthday in '88 (October 25th). It was one of my first records ever, but my first Maiden record. I was entranced by the music, so much that I demanded Seventh Son of a Son for Xmas that same year. My first exposure, however, was through my older cousin, who would play Powerslave on the regular when I would sleep over the house. His room was covered with Maiden posters, and his wardrobe consisted of Eddie t-shirts and thats about it. Up the Irons!
Been seeing maiden since brave new world, i'm 31 years old, saw them on this night and this is the best tour i've been on and as far as i'm concerned no other tour will top this! Up the irons!
I've just read Bruce said they will be back sooner than you think I hope that it's another arena tour much better than festivals plus hope it's for a new album brilliant
Yes he said that at the end of the show, and with his voice much stronger that say 18 months or so ago I think he can pull it off. Hope Nicko can too. He faded a bit on the 7th but played perfectly on the 8th.
Very cryptic from Bruce. I was thinking maybe we could get a fully themed Senjitsu tour? Covid kind of ruined the usual tour schedule and on the Legacy tour they had Japanese staging and back drops for the Senjitsu songs. What I don't want it to be is that they are simply playing Download :(
@michaeldean7220 doubt they will do senjutsu properly now specially when they did 3 songs on Legacy Tour and we gotta remember the band are 2 tours behind I think this is a great idea merging 2 tours together it's unique and different from usual maiden show
LONG LIFE FOR THE METAL #1 IN ALL HISTORY OF METAL!!!! THE BEEEASST!!!! VERY GREETINGS FROM MEXIHCO-TENOCHTITLAN!!!! UP THE IRONS FOREVER AND EVER AGAIN!!! 😎👍😎✌️😎☝️😎🤘
Yep. He’s way better this time round than he was on the last tour. They all smashed it on this night actually. Nicko faded a bit towards the end of the first night but he was locked in on the second.
@@TheCostantinus he sounds like he is straining massively every song he sings now. And in the last few years he has developed a weird sorta lisp which you can hear in his signing. I don’t think it’s related to the cancer from 2015 either as it wasn’t present on the book of souls tour.
God i remember when Brave New World came out and some reviews said Maiden lacked the edge of Marilyn Manson and metal (of thar era) but 23 years later Maiden still going strong here and Marilyn who?
@@richavery66 I don't think so. I've seen other videos from the current Euro tour and everybody was sitting down. I do not think everybody was disabled.
@@supertrooper6879 I haven't seen many videos from this current tour and there may be parts of this one I missed - at my age, that's quite possible 😉. The part of this video I was referring to was at 1:58, where a woman is clearly in a wheelchair. Talking of the 80s, the first Maiden concert I went to was in Southampton in the UK in 1984 on their World Slavery tour and I remember people were sitting in the upper circle throughout the whole concert - Bruce did his best to get them to stand but to no avail.

I've rarely anything bad to say about these guys... been going to shows since the 80's. But Bruce babbling on and on and fucking on during Adrian's GODlike solo is just too much for me to handle. I'm sure Bruce has some favorite vocal parts that he would be pissed off if Adrian suddenly went into some random guitar solo - or just stepped up to a mic and started yelling at the crowd. I just don't know here... I think if I'm Adrian, this is my favorite moment any night this song is played. But maybe he's bored of playing it and doesn't care what Bruce does during it. : shrug :
Don’t get me wrong , been a Maiden fan since the start but do they really need three guitar players ? Might need to get a second bass player to balance it all out 😊
All that Janick this, Janick that bla bla bla. Get alive. This man is in the band since 1990, has written many great songs and his solo and the end is not the same as Smith's but still very good.
Have a look into what happened to Nicko this year, health-wise (details were released a few days ago). It's a miracle he's playing at all, but his drumming has improved as the tour's gone on and continues on the upward trajectory. The guy's a legend, huge respect to him.
